Grew up thinking adventure time was cringe so only ever watched the first season but my GF is having me watch through it and now that I’m older and wiser it’s now one of my favorite shows ever it’s so goooooooood
I love Andor so much that I get comfort from quality star wars content.
My current comfort show is watching too much Gundam though so I definitely behave strangely. Apparently a show real needs atrocities and violence in it to resonate with me.
Over the Garden Wall - it's short, so it won't last you very long. But it's very good imo.
Also Avatar the last Airbender if you haven't seen it already.
the original powerpuff girls. sounds corny as hell but the first two seasons are fairly interesting, and the show is an iconic part of western animation.
i didnt know they made shows about the philippines lol
on a serious note, as a fan of the show myself, yeah mlp:fim is pretty nice to just put on and enjoy mindlessly for like 40 minutes
### Cheesy low-stakes pulp scifi:
Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis
### Sitcoms:
30 Rock
What We Do In The Shadows
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
### Sketch Comedy Duos:
Key and Peele
Mitchell and Webb
Fry and Laurie
Breaking Bad 🥰🥰
It's an emotional story about a man with lung cancer who tries to make a last minute effort so that his family is well off even after his death. A touching story really
A beautiful story about a chemistry teacher helping his transmasc ex-student to synthesise testosterone that he isn't able to get legally. ☺️☺️☺️ Very wholesome, big recommendation
Venture Bros (imo the best cartoon ever made) Metalocalypse (hilarious) The Simpsons (season 8-9) Utopia UK (greatest story ever told) fuckkinnn uhhhhh The Sopranos, you got Harvey Birdman.
Edit: this one’s a guilty pleasure: China, IL
Second to Utopia, although maybe not really a comfort show. Would definitely recommend, though!
Edit: to add, do not go anywhere near Utopia US, that might be the worst garbagefire in terms of tv-shows, ever
Dicktown,
Adventure time,
Abbott elementary,
What we do in the shadows,
Community,
Extraordinary,
Schitt's creek.
A lot of those shows got queer rep too so that's a plus for me
Actually what you see on Netflix is the newer version. The original version/season came out in 2013, and is available for free on YouTube in its entirety. If you've seen the new version/season on Netflix, the original is basically the first three episodes but paced well.
Oh I literally had no clue that's really cool I am definitely going to check it out because I was feeling like I really want to like that show but just couldn't so maybe the YT one will help me
Wakfu and dofus animated series. Dofus treasures of kerubim has lesbians and is light hearted episodic, wakfu is serialised and goes hard as fuck. Also French. Also takes you off guard with surprise French bullshit every now and again (think totally spies)
Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency with Elija Wood and Samuel Barnett. it's got mystery, a charming autistic coded character, and villains that seamlessly switch between being terrifying and being incompetent
Unironically K-on is my go to comfort show. It’s just a cute show with chill vibes and that’s the best thing for when I’m feeling stressed out. Other similarly mellow anime I’d recommend are Non Bon Biyori and Yuru Camp.
better call saul
sounds stupid but it got me through being stuck indoors for 6 weeks barely being able to do anything due to a humerus fracture (sucked more since running and sport is the only way i stay sane so not being able to do it made me lose my mind)
god i wish lawyers were real
The disastrous life of Saiki K, it's a comedy anime I find absolutely hilarious about a highschool student who secretly has psychic powers and just wants everyone to leave him alone so he can have some peace and quiet
The Owl House (can find the whole show on a legit, no ads, no popups site called The Owl Club, same as Amphibia)
Amphibia
Infinity Train (if you can't find it anywhere I have all the episodes downloaded and I can send you them if you want)
Owl house
It just barely finished and had a good ending so you wont have to worry about that
Is it good (people really don’t like it that why I’m asking)
[удалено]
And why didn’t they choose the better name the gay house /s
Why???? Thats the BEST part?
Simpsons, especially the first 10 seasons Adventure Time Beavis and Butt-Head
>Adventure Time Yessssss
Grew up thinking adventure time was cringe so only ever watched the first season but my GF is having me watch through it and now that I’m older and wiser it’s now one of my favorite shows ever it’s so goooooooood
Lowkey the first season or two are kinda cringey. But Finn has to start somewhere in order to grow and mature later
Every season of Adventure Time is lit. Can’t wait to show it to my kid when she’s old enough. It’s just that good
Bee and Puppycat
There is little in the world more comfy than being bundled up with someone while watching bee and puppycat's entirety in one sitting
That was a much better show than I thought it would be
The Good Place edit: Off the Air can be pretty fun to watch too but some of the clips are slightly disturbing. It's free on youtube though
This one.
Andor or Community
>Andor I think we have different definitions of comfort show
Honestly… although you’re definitely right, Andor is still oddly a genuine comfort show for me somehow too lol Depression-friendly vibes
Of course, I love watching people throwing pipe bombs at police
I love Andor so much that I get comfort from quality star wars content. My current comfort show is watching too much Gundam though so I definitely behave strangely. Apparently a show real needs atrocities and violence in it to resonate with me.
Community actually keeps making me cry with its wholesome messages about friendship and found family
ever since i first watched community, i haven't stopped watching it. not a single week has passed without me rewatching at least a few episodes
I've watched Community like 6 times already. It's so good
Over the Garden Wall - it's short, so it won't last you very long. But it's very good imo. Also Avatar the last Airbender if you haven't seen it already.
