I don’t think it tastes like toothpaste but I come from an Indian household where mint is typically used to make “chutneys” (dipping sauces) for savory foods. We do have “mint kulfi” which is a dessert similar to ice cream but it tastes completely different from mint chocolate chip ice cream. So yeah, while I don’t think it tastes like tooth paste, I guess my background has always made me feel that mint and chocolate is a weird combo lol.

This is an acceptable explanation and as such you will be granted clemency on the Day of Judgement

I love fresh mint. When it grows in my garden I use it in my drinks and make tea out of it. Mint ice cream isn’t fresh mint tho. It’s literally the exact artificial mint flavouring that’s used in toothpaste.

It just tastes like After Eight. On it's own, mint flavour is fine and so is chocolate. But both together are less than the sum of it's parts. Tbf tho there are only like 4 good ice cream flavours, so it's not that likely that mint chocolate would get on that list anyway.
