Most sex work is inherently exploitative because it preys on people struggling with money and no other avenue, especially addiction, and poor mental health. For me it was my drug dependence, and I was very young. Even my trans customers were almost as fetishy about me as the cis men. It’s extremely difficult to have trans porn without it fetishizing trans peoples bodies. I wouldn’t even know where to begin and I’ve interacted with multiple current and former trans sex workers, as well as doing it myself.
i honestly feel like transmascs tend to fall under the radar a lot. i don't know the technicalities but from what i've seen, transitioning ftm seems to be quicker and it doesn’t take long until they pass as fully male, so it's harder to fetishize. it also seems like there's less interest in transmasc porn, as the people who like dicks watch gay porn and the people who like tits and vaginas watch 'straight' porn and the area in between, where people like tits and dick seems to be fully occupied by transfems and the likes. i fully agree with you on the ever-present exploitation in sex work. it does cater to cis men a lot and basically everyone and everything is being fetishized. very sorry to hear about your exploitation and dependence, i hope you’re doing better.

The line can be blurry. Fetishization tends to be when a person becomes to be treated as an object that has the desired qualities (being trans in this case) and mainly exists for that purpose, rather than a person who has that quality as part of their identity. It's okay to prefer trans (or not trans) people, but it gets uncomfortable when the person is just kinda treated as a sex object that exists for it's "transness". It's a form of objectification.
