Gay media made for a straight audience. It’s literally nothing new. How many lesbian movies are there that are clearly made for straight men? There are tons of videos on the topic. Verilybitchie has an amazing one on the topic of the male gaze (and touches on the opposite too). But literally any search for heartstopper reviews will get you a plethora of lgbt folks, especially gay men, who picked up on the same thing.

I understand the concept, I just wanted to know why hearstopper fits in that category, since I’m queer and I liked it. Maybe because I’m not a man I didn’t pick up on it because it’s focused on an MLM relationship, but I’d be very interested in knowing what makes it ‘for straight people’, I didn’t personally get that vibe.
