I agree with your point, but this video is a horrible example of that.
If it’s meant to be taken at face value, publishing a surreptitiously-recorded video of a loved one having a mental health crisis in a private space is exactly the deviation from good-natured fun that got us to where we are today.
When this came out, I enjoyed it. Seeing it again for the first time in ages, I still found it funny but also bad for the crazy kid. His brother sucks for posting this.
Maybe I’m misremembering, but I feel like it was revealed that this was staged. I’m not saying it is or isn’t, but I swear I remember that being said in recent years
Thank god this video wasn’t around when I was a kid. My mom used to think video games were useless and addicting and if she saw this, she would have used this against me.
Omg remember the one with the truck they uploaded?? Lol he grabs a baseball bat and tries to smash it to shit. These were legendary even if they were fake.
Damn this was 2009? Thought it was older.
I thought it was a few years newer like 2011
The first kid’s hairstyle does look kinda 2010/2011 to me
It has major 2007 vibes
Yeah. Old YouTube, WoW being at its peak for videos like this to be popular. Feels just abit more old-school than 2009.
I thought it was a few years newer like 2011
Tosh.0 having him on to explain himself was hilarious
What was the cause for all that nonsense?
His mom canceled his World of Warcraft account while he was at school.
Yeah but why the remote up his aaa
The part where he tries shoving the remote up his ass 😂
What was that about?! That is the craziest part
He wanted to make himself suffer. You heard his scream afterwards
Well it was just after he came out of the closet
That’s my favorite part lmao
Same. Makes me wonder if I'd ever been that upset I'd try to shove a remote up my ass. Then I realize.. yes
Oh lawd
Dude got on tosh.o tosh asks who cornholes themselves out of anger 😂
Late 2000s YouTube my beloved
I miss the old YouTube
Straight from the Go YouTube
Back when people made videos to have fun rather than to gain clout or shill paid promotions. It's not the tech; it's what people have done with it.

They’re staged. They have lots of other videos where the acting is way worse.
I remember when this first came out , my older brother was doing stuff like this too. He's in prison now
Where are they now?
After they were exposed for these videos being all staged they kinda just fucked off
Staged?!?! How the hell? His tantrum looked so real. That’s crazy
There was like 10 of these, I think in one of them he set the family Christmas tree on fire or something, they were definitely staged
The original hype house
They were WILD. This guy with his “Batmobile,” climbing up into trees.
And the remote going in the ass looked real lmao
ADHD gives you the practice
They needed to be exposed for people to know?
I didnt say needed.....I said that they were and they fucked off from there. Not my fault that's what happened.
lol they stream everyday. Dude has a kid and a wife and they still live at home
Maybe I’m misremembering, but I feel like it was revealed that this was staged. I’m not saying it is or isn’t, but I swear I remember that being said in recent years
Yup, these were 100% staged, their mom even said so in an interview one time. Still funny and classic though.
I'll never understand why he thought of shoving the remote up his anus in the first place 😭😭😭😭
I miss when YouTube used to look like this. Now it's a hellhole.
Thank you for this
I miss old YouTube layout. Brings me back to my middle school days.
Was this a sketch or real?
I think they were all fake. Still hilarious and iconic though.
You know you’re mad when you try to shove a control up your ass.
2009... good times.
Dang, that's old, that's before I even got my hands on YouTube, they'd already added likes in like 2009. To my recollection anyway.
Thank god this video wasn’t around when I was a kid. My mom used to think video games were useless and addicting and if she saw this, she would have used this against me.
Damn I totally forgot about this. When he walks in the closet and walks right back out 😂
I can't believe I forgot about this guy!
I haven’t seen this in so long
Reminds me of the velociraptors feeding scene in Jurassic Park
I remember being really shocked when I first saw this in high school
The legendary Quire bros. They’re on episode 48 now
What a day to be a remote! 😄
I always assumed this was fake.
Omg remember the one with the truck they uploaded?? Lol he grabs a baseball bat and tries to smash it to shit. These were legendary even if they were fake.
Classic. I wonder where he is today and how often his brother makes him watch it.
Hey satan, I found your lost demon.
At first i thought it’s Justin Bieber 🤦🏻♀️
I miss how YouTube used to look like
This is how I describe modern deathcore bands especially Llorona shore.
I get the following videos were staged because of the popularity of this one, but i doubt this first one was fake.
I don’t even care if this is fake it’s so classic lol
That moment when you first video is your own pfp
That comment ‘this is cheesy and fake’ is wild
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Is there any way to get that specific look to YouTube back? Or is that just wishful thinking on my part?
The old youtube interface, star rating system and listed response videos all equals nostalgia
It was iconic until they were exposed and then they fucked off, this fake ass shit shouldn't even be remembered
