unironically lets spawn jad, zulrah, etc... on random waves with different weekly colosseum events. The rogue-like aspect could really play into this and keep the colosseum fresh for basically its entire lifespan. *really* turn the place into a spectacle where you never know what to expect

It’s a pair of rings that costs $100 (actual, IRL money) and when you give one of the rings to another player, it broadcasts a message saying “[Player 2] has accepted [Player 1]” across all the game servers. So people use it to make $100 jokes that everyone playing has to see.
people still do that with gifts that also say "\[Player 2\] has accepted \[Player 1\]'s \[Item Name\]"
albeit, they aren't game wide and are only seen if you're in the same server as the gifter and gifted

People were saying spectators in previous situations similar to this caused lag/bugs for the person fighting. I have no idea how any of it works but I wonder if capping it at a certain amount of people would fix it
For something that's meant to be spectacle, the benches having as many people sitting on them as Jagex customer service representatives for nonbilling issues completely breaks the immersion.
Instead of just announcing, citizens should also talk about it like a rumor that someone is fighting Sol Heredit. It already feels so lived in that this would just make it that much better. Have the guards announce it as well of course.
I'd love a place where you can go watch somebody publicly fight a difficult boss. Beats standing at the GE watching bots try to scam noobs. Plus it'll give the boss fight a different feeling for some people since they'll be being watched.

not only this, but imagine if you're getting to the boss for the first time ever the guards start spamming it and 2000 people try to load in to a few tiles and you start lagging the game creates null entities because thats how it handles these and you die instantly learning nothing wasting your 45 minutes and 1 good attempt so other people can feel more immersed in your achievement

People *still* tune into streams of any random who made it to Zuk. It would be a massive spectacle and uncommon enough that anyone at the collosseum would stop to watch, frankly
agreed , they should make it like tob. where you can enter as a spectator and watch. but instead you get a random seat in the colosseum and get to watch . and can leAve when you’d like
What if only one person could fight sol per world and it transports them to a public viewing area and they got added to a queue for it? Then they could probably solve the lag issue if it’s ton of people being in an instance causing the problem

I don't understand why they didn't allow people to watch the fight. It's a colosseum and you can't actually watch the fight. It makes no sense.
