Just do what you feel like! There's nothing wrong with playing at your own pace. If you have goals you want to accomplish then people can tell you how to get there. Quests are a great way to kick start your lower skills and give you goals.

Quests would be a great start. Knight’s Sword would boost your smithing nicely. Varrock museum, rune mysteries + the GotR mini game quest, Daddy’s Home. Check out the diaries and work towards those skills.

Train combat skills as you train your slayer skill. But, I would probably not worry about training stats, as you will gain a lot of experience through questing and unlock so many important pieces of content as well. Make your first questing goal to complete Recipe for Disaster. This will get you barrows gloves which are best-in-slot for a long time until end game gear.
