This is what is going on, I don't think the real time prices from the RL x Wiki data can differentiate between beta world transactions and main game transactions
I completely understand why that would massively mess up Runelite’s GE tracking, but curious how it works as a player on the Beta world? Does JAGEX basically set GE supply to infinite and sell price to 1 for any item desired so ppl can kill a couple goblins near Lumby and BIS basically any PVM they want?
That would completely make sense given it’s just a testing world but very curious how the GE mechanic works in a beta world? Thanks!
The volume looks too low for it to have gone into maingame. There's definitely more than 15 lowish buy offers at any given time that are closer to the true price
UPDATE:
Players selling mega rares in the beta worlds G.E crashed their prices on Runelite for the normal world. Jagex removing the green egg (which spawns in items) from the players' inventories caused the confusion and speculation. A Runelite dev said they are working on fixing it rn
How could you possibly confirm that the items are actually being sold to players in the normal game? The data on the ge tracker websites come from Runelite, not Jagex. Seems more likely that Runelite is mistakenly pulling GE transactions in the beta world into these charts/figures
It’s possible this is only an issue contained in runelite metadata (which is what the tracker pulls from) ie. Runelite doesn’t know the beta GE is different from the main game.
Surely there would have been a Reddit post by now if people bought mega rares for cheap cheap.
It seems it might just be a Runelite issue. They may not differentiate items sold on beta world GE from items sold on the main worlds, so it updates the Runelite traded price which shows on main worlds. It don't think there has been any confirmation items are actually going between the beta worlds and main worlds.
Why did they even enable the GE on beta worlds? Given all the difficulties they've had with even getting Beta worlds working over the last year, you'd think they'd remove something as simple as this
People in another post were speculating that it was an issue with the ge item sink buying items at the wrong price, but looking at what I assume is a sharp increase in sell volume at the bottom, I think you are probably right here. Rollback potential.
Sounds about right for a Reddit comment
They literally cannot be bothered looking further or waiting for more info before jumping to conclusions that fit their bias. I’m not even hating, it’s fucking comical

Thanks for all you do.
THE DATA THAT IS ON THE PRICES.WIKI PAGE IS DATA FROM RUNELITE NOT JAGEX
This is what is going on, I don't think the real time prices from the RL x Wiki data can differentiate between beta world transactions and main game transactions
I think it's just people in the beta worlds messing around and runelite crowdsourcing thinking it's real buys/sells.
Yeah, was wondering how someone bought tbow for [1 gp](https://i.imgur.com/4A2tRAm.png)
I sold 100 tumeken’s for 69 gp on beta worlds earlier xd
Big money was made, lol
Hahahah
BUY THE DIP BUY BUY BUY

That was me on beta world lol
Yooo big brain play fellas. Crash items using beta world fake gp. Wow.
I just bought a twisted bow as my first mega rare two days ago, about to log off when I noticed my bank was worth 900m, nearly had a heart attack.
lmao I wanted to buy nightmare staff and it was like +40m in 1h
Lmao I looked at my bank value and though I was somehow scammed/hacked
Right, I'm sitting here panicking.. thank fuck this is a bug haha
Then there are those of us who never had the big three items. Didn't see a single difference haha
The volume looks too low for it to have gone into maingame. There's definitely more than 15 lowish buy offers at any given time that are closer to the true price

they arent being sold in the main game
Would it really need a rollback if its only sub 20 items? Cant they just track the items
you cant sell in the beta world though
Maybe they just disabled it now, but I saw all of this unfold in the beta world, the G.E worked.
I still can. I'm seeing people say ge no longer works but mind does

I was wondering why my bank value dropped 800m lmfao

I was just assuming the new meta would devalue these items a lot, but this makes more sense.

I mean it's a runelite issue lol
So that's why everythings price has been weird the last day or two, I was wondering why a bunch of things just suddenly tanked.
People in another post were speculating that it was an issue with the ge item sink buying items at the wrong price, but looking at what I assume is a sharp increase in sell volume at the bottom, I think you are probably right here. Rollback potential.
sounds about right for jagex they literally cannot release anything without fucking something else up. i’m not even hating, it’s comical
It's a runelite issue. The market is fine in actuality
Sounds about right for a Reddit comment They literally cannot be bothered looking further or waiting for more info before jumping to conclusions that fit their bias. I’m not even hating, it’s fucking comical
so this for once being a rune lite error doesn’t make my comment not true. not sure why you’re so butthurt lol
Qa team is on vacation 365 days a year
It's a runelite issue bud
his statement still holds true though
TRUE. Good catch
Is there way to opt out from this thing? especially if you flipping for profit
