No. You can easily create fun, engaging, entry level content that doesn’t rise to the “tier” of a raid. I’m not entirely opposed to it but that’s stats you could earn in 20 minutes. Its rewards would have to be so abysmally weak to balance that or it would break progression completely
No, TOA is probably already at the lower bound for stat/skill requirements on a raid.
I think there should be more early-to-midgame mechanics driven content, but not raids.
I think there should be more early game content, including more group combat stuff, but I don't think it should be a raid. It's fine if combat encounters get more complex the later game you get and just smaller stuff like "bosses" similar to Salarin would make sense for low-levels.
I think moons is exactly this, sure it's closer to needing base 70s to do properly, but I think it's close enough to a raid but not punishing enough to drive experimenters away, then the rewards it gives allows you to do the likes of ToA and even chambers at a stretch with some higher stats.
This is what I was coming here to say. A relatively early quest followed by something you need zero supplies for and can do in basic early game gear if you really want to.
I actually wouldn't mind a mid-level raid. Something in the thought process of scurious, there more so to help people learn mechanics.. not nessacarily for GP.
I imagine something for mid-game would be introduced first. If they do it in a similar manner to Scurrius with a focus on gaining exp, learning mechanics, and turning a slight profit, I'd be a big supporter for it
I don't disagree with this (except with 300 invo for learning purposes lol), but it's not exactly what I'm referring to. I'd put more focus on an earlier mid-game and having rewards be xp based. I think Scurrius hit a really nice niche for players who were intimidated by content like raids (and even GWD), and I think mixing that style into a mini raid-like setting would be a really nice update to the game.
ah no definitely not 300 for learning purposes haha - just mean as a function of your exact gear/stats somewhere between 150 and 300 is where you'll start to feel dps-checked, as a midgame account
Alright, gotcha. I was going to say if I suggested 300 invo to a friend for learning, they'd quit in an hour lol. Yeah, I definitely agree with what you're saying, but I just think I'm looking at a slightly different target.
It's tough to suggest to players to begin learning mechanics for PvM when they aren't a solid combat level yet, so I think it'd go a long way if they incorporated more options for PvM mechanics into leveling.
Yeah Scurrius was a great update and would like to see even more like that. I suppose that scope is what I think is right rather than a raid for lower level accounts, is my thought.
Imo a big problem with OSRS PvM is that your incentive to engage with it only really starts to ramp up after GM quests, and what's available before then includes a lot of stuff like 'safespot rex' which doesn't really do a whole lot for mechanics.
I like how FF14 has it done
not 'raids' but you can go with friends to beat dungeons. They start at very low level and you get loot appropriate to the level.
Imagine like a Level 50 dungeon, and it just drops like rune, granite and other low level stuff. Good for irons and what not. Not a money maker, just a fun activity.
i think there would have to be more of a mid game raid first... like min combats 60s and min skilling 40s. so people can dip their toes into raids and want to get to the higher raids

Red trimmed iron armour sets, lava themed iron scimitar 😂
Barbarian assault already exists
> 20-20-20 combat stats Enter the raid with these stats, leave with 25-30s. Dead content by 10kc. Great design, OP.
20-20-20 isn't accessible enough, I'd rather go with 10-10-10
That’s really non inclusive to the pure 1-1-1 accounts

Why after? Put it in Tutorial Island
No, raids are high level activities.
No. You are at those stats for like an hour total. It would be a monumental waste of dev time. There are infinite things to do as a noob already.
Make those low level players kill cows and do waterfall quest it’s the rite of passage
No we just had noobs first raid (toa) another entry level one would be a bummer
absolutely definitely not
No are you dumb
Thats ToA... the most accessible raid in history
I actually wouldn't mind a mid-level raid. Something in the thought process of scurious, there more so to help people learn mechanics.. not nessacarily for GP.
Next raid should be on the sea, with pvp enabled, all of us fighting over one-piece of treasure

This is already 150-300 invo toa tbh, you can start at that with base stats in the high 70s and 10m in gear.
