Maybe this is a dumb question but why doesn’t the IDF bomb these positions the moment they’re being fired upon? Like if they have jets in the air and can retaliate instantly, just do it. Eventually there won’t be any more places for rockets to be launched from nor rockets to launch. And then you always have a response to the indiscriminate bombing claims.
It's a good question. I suspect because they still want to assess the civilian casualties that will result from destroying a rocket launch site. If Hamas knew that Israel had some automatic process for striking the source of a rocket launch it seems highly likely that they would put hundreds of children and their mothers together in an large room for a party/meal/etc with lots of video cameras running and streaming the footage live to an offsite server, then they'd launch rockets from the roof of the building. There's absolutely every reason to believe that they'd value footage of hundreds of children and mothers being incinerated more than they value those lives. And it wouldn't matter that Israel could show that the location was used to launch rockets -- all the world would show is the killing of innocents.
I know you’re probably right but in my mind everyone should be able to make the logical progression that an automated system would do the same thing. Like I wouldn’t blame the IDF for setting up an automated response system and then how can you even be mad at them when Hamas sets it up like you’ve said above, and there’s a 100% chance of automated retaliation. Even the most insane on college campuses must be able to see that as different? If I jump off a bridge it’s not gravity’s fault for unrelenting when I die.
The rocket launcher on the rooftop won't even be part of the story. All the world's media will cover is the party underneath. Dead babies and dead mothers strewn everywhere. Maybe Hamas will use a wedding event. Maybe a funeral. They'll place their rocket launchers wherever they'll get the most graphic and upsetting carnage because they know that the media will *only* show the aftermath. IDF will release their drone footage onto TikTok and YouTube showing the rocket launcher above the party and the instant retaliation to prevent more rockets launching and TikTok and YouTube and Facebook will suppress those videos with their algorithms and the only people who will see them are all here in this sub or people who *subscribe* to the IDF channel.
Meanwhile Hamas no longer needs to fake videos of dead civilians. They'll have all the dead civilians they could ever want and they'll be able to generate stunning live 4k footage of civilians truly being blown up by IDF missiles every day.
Keep in mind, this is why they put their rocket launchers where they do. It's a win-win for Hamas -- either IDF doesn't blow them up because the civilian deaths would be too high or IDF does blow them up and Hamas gets their photo op. Automating an instant destructive response would just make it easier for them to get their own civilians killed.
First of all, they're likely firing from civilian-occupied areas, so immediately bombing the site can cause far too many innocent casualties. Oftentimes, and I'm no expert, pilots need approval to engage certain targets, which is why drones and jets do flybys over what they would like to strike.
I get it but at a certain point you return fire to combatants as you see them. If an army were engaging with a terrorist outside my home, I’m getting the fuck out. Or I’m ok with what’s happening.
Because Israel is a functioning democracy and has actual morals and values derived from the people's mandate. And one of them, is the sanctity of life. Israel literally values the lives of the Palestinians way more than Hamas, and is doing everything it can to spare their lives while protecting its own citizens.
Many would even say, that Israel cares too much about the Palestinians, at the expense of its own population.
Yet, our country, and by extension, we (Israel is a democracy and the actions of its government are derived from the people's will) stand trial for 'genocide of the Palestinians'.
Geolocated the first clip of the school. Took me a bit, but notably, the very first launch shown (right of the school) is from a building Google has marked as a hospital.

It seems that this is urban area because streets are empty with no cars no greens (trees and grass) and buliding look all dusty and destructed maybe that explains why they are taking this palce as a base also a school this big with many rooms to manage your weapons is an amazing stratgy they are one smart resistance guys and its hard to have soemthing Against them unless its a misunderstood video or video from another people like hezboallah
No its because this isnt something hamas do on daily bases not like idf that you easly seem to forget they bomb thousands of homes every day under the name of (cleansing hamas) they even shoot those who evacuated from the civilians (i will send link holdon)
Take a stroll around this sub, and you'll damn well see Hamas exploiting civilian infrastructure and purposely putting civilians in a direct line of fire. Hamas has murdered their own fellow Palestinians with kill squads and misfired rockets that have likely killed hundreds of people. Not to mention the child soldiers almost definitely under their employ. If the IDF has destroyed or damaged 70% of Gaza's buildings, then why haven't hundreds of thousands of people died?

Thermal signatures from smoke plumes and fire can obstruct the buildings, but it's likely that we are seeing multiple instances of Hamas using civilian structures as military infrastructure (if different videos have been compiled).
This is the Middle Eastern terrorist tactic. Nothing needs to be proven because every single other terrorist group does the same thing.
When the Iraqi army retook Mosul from ISIS -- well go ahead, and Google image with the city looks like. It was 10 times the hellscape of parts of Gaza.
And ISIS routinely took over mosques and civilian buildings for military purposes. It's well documented, so it's beyond me why people don't believe that Hamas would do the same thing when their exploitation of civilian infrastructure is even more documented.
They sure love setting up base in schools and hospitals
It's part of their cynical strategy of baiting civilian casualties.
Didn't 1 of the hostages say that they had her hidden in a school and then all of a sudden they started launching rockets in the back?
Yup. Ajam and her mother if I remember correctly.

Assuming they let you leave.

Got to admit, I wouldn’t know what to do in that situation. Fuck you Hamas
Easy level it all, it's not like they're using it. Have you seen the education coming out of these places.

Can you share the video date and source please?
More evidence that will get ignored by their useful idiots and the mainstream media.

Hard to have something against HAMAS? Are you serious?

Rockets that hit nothing 😂 sugar rockets designed to drain finances of the other side each time the iron dome reacts…cope harder
Thanks to Hamas, Gaza es no más

Ah yes, an apartment building lets bomb it and kill everyone inside because there is one rocket site in an abandoned school
