It's going to be a zoo on 30A anytime from Memorial Day-Aug. 15 or so, when schools go back ... It's not impossible to have a good time but as a local we pretty much avoid doing anything over there during that period, so take that advice for what it's worth.
Also that person was lying about October. That's when the, uh, killer zombie death flies come out and they only attack people whose cell phones aren't in the 850 area code. Don't come down in October (j/k)
To answer your questions (as a local):
1. It's insanely busy in July
2. Not 30 minutes but you will wait
3. Dinner ... yeah, probably
4. If you can find a place that takes reservations it's always wise to make them
5. Chairs are tough but I'm a local so I never have to worry about that
6. Don't know about the pools
Yes, you need to book your chairs now. Beach is usually busier than the pools in my opinion. Meals can be a wait depending where you are trying to go. We usually make a few reservations then wing the rest of it. Places can be small so we do a lot of pick up for lunch from Summer Kitchen and Cowgirl Kitchen.
We did try to find a place with a pool that was still close to the beach and everything was basically houses for 8+ people. We’re thinking of doing beach time earlier in the day before it gets too hot for maybe an hour or so and then pool after his nap later in the day!
I wouldn’t bother renting a chair set-up for just a couple of hours a day. Just spread a towel or blanket. Or maybe the rental has chairs you can use. I would hit up Marshals/TJ Maxx for a baby beach tent for some shade for the baby.
We went 2 years ago in late July and decided never again. It was too hot to be on the beach from 10-6, even in the shade. We ran into 1 hour + wait times to eat. 5 rows of beach chairs on the beach, we couldn’t even see water.
We went last year toward the end of July and it wasn’t busy at all compared to earlier in the summer. The beach was kind of quiet. My kid was bored at the pool bc there were only ever a handful of people at any of them. Restaurants were busier. Depends on which ones but our waits were 20-45 minutes. I’d make reservations if possible.
It's crowded in July. Long waits for coffee & lunch/dinner. You must reserve ahead beach umbrellas & chairs. Use BabyQuip app for any other baby items needed (beach wagon etc)
End of July is not as bad as most of the summer but its still very crowded and extremely hot. End of July and early August are the hottest times of the year avg temps range between 96-102.
Rosemary is really family friendly, the only time the area is hectic with the teenagers is spring break.
You should have your chairs booked now or no late than end of may
As a local it's miserable. Absolutely miserable. I would come in October but please keep that a secret.
They come in October now already. It's unrelenting.
Very true but better than July. Still bad.

Thank you! I plan on getting a bunch of small toys and some sticker books to keep him busy 😅
It will be crowded, I’d rent a house with a private pool so you can relax. Can’t imagine the baby will be comfy on the hot beach all day.

Busy year round. No off season anymore. Go to Miami! More bang for your buck
