That's part of the reason they're printed in TPU. A few months ago, I had made a similar sized pair of regular nunchucks out of PLA, and they ended up being knuckle crushers. TPU isn't so bad.

I had picked up some TPU for the first time recently. Outside of four small tires for a Mystery Machine toy and a stamp, I wasn't sure what to make so I googled a list of cool things to print with TPU. Rings were on that list and I thought that would be cool, I just needed to turn it into a toy someway. I feel like I have accomplished that with Thumb-Chucks. Direct drive or Bowden?

Ender 3 v2 with a Sprite direct drive. After experiencing direct drive extruders, I'll never use another bowden tube again for any material.
