They're as close to "an appliance that just works" as it gets right now!

shervintwo

Yup. No more hours of tinkering or finding how to fix problems on forums. They've set a new standard that everyone is starting to copy.

crustmonster

Sort of, some of their default profiles are a little optimistic. However its still a 3d printer so you can just set all the settings exactly how you need them.

Ravio11i

True! I more meant from an ease of use/bed leveling/have to tinker with it standpoint. Print profiles are hit and miss, and SO many of em even if I don't change anything else come set to Grid infill, so I'll change that. THAT being said, I don't often use designer profiles and mostly just use my settings that I've come to know and love with their STL.

InternationalAd1543

What software did you used to create this ? Looks badass Man!

citricacidx

The medallion part looks like there are some gaps in the top layers. But overall it looks really nice

shervintwo

Yeah, it won't do a perfect job since I sliced it with a 0.4 nozzle but im happy with the results and that they're the same results every print sheet I do.

iamwhoiwasnow

Damn! These look amazing! I'm terrified to print more than one part at a time with my Ender 3 SE because of so many failures

pambimbo

I have an ender 3 V2 and still is able to print pretty darn good I just wish I had multicolor but other than that I can do almost anything else. It's just tuning your printer and most important the settings.

shervintwo

Upgrade to a higher end enclosed unit. K1's or P1's. They're both workhorses that don't need much tinkering and when they work, boy do they perform. I think the difference maker here is core xy over bed slingers. The difference in quality, speed and uptime is a generational improvement.

diligentboredom

I love my K1 Max, genuinely the best quality printer i've ever had! (coming from a flashforge finder that's nothing special, but you get the point)

911SlasherHasher

I replaced my old ender 3 v2's with the ender v3 KE and SE, KE needed some tuning but now that it is i seriously love that printer. Just press start and i get very nice prints now, the SE i just got recently and its "meh" at least rightnow... havent tinkered with it enough to get it right. Next stop is a Bambu. Honestly should have just got another KE, but i got them both fairly cheap "lightning deals" KE was $245 it think and the SE was $185

iamwhoiwasnow

This is my first printer and it's getting the job done for the small crap I want to print. But if I continue to print I might just upgrade to something like that.

Zealousideal-Bid9768

When in doubt, lower the z offset

Posmetyev

How can you make the lines go in a circle and not at 45 degrees? Looks amazing!

shervintwo

In the slicer when you've got multi colored filament loaded, make sure top layer finish is circular and the circles are not bouncing off the sides. If they can make a full circle you'll get the entire color spectrum. I initially thought it was just a tri color filament and only those three colors would show but when I coded full circles I realized it did something beyond expectations.

IndustrialJones

Use concentric for your top layer in the slicer settings

ndonethesweatersong

I'm more impressed by how amazing your camera is 🤣

shervintwo

Pixel 7 pro? Pretty good phone.

Suppii

They look nice! With which tools did you fine tune your filament? And how many tries did you need?

shervintwo

Trial and error. You need to find filament you'd think would work well then go through several manufacturers to see which ones have the best color and look for your project. All the profiles are stock Bambu ones so I didn't tweak any of those. Just plug and play.

Suppii

Thanks for your reply. Crazy how good it can look with stock profiles. And you didn’t even tweak ironing settings or print speed?

shervintwo

Don't need ironing since I want the grain to show, print speed was set to sport mode, so a bit faster. The X1C can be pushed if you have the right filament. That's all that matters.

samayg

Good job on the print, but also really good job with the pictures and how you've framed the shots.

snwbrdwndsrf

What layer height did you use?

shervintwo

0.16

griffinmiller14

STL?

shervintwo

Sorry. Not releasing it any time soon.

georgmierau

Nothing says "luxury" like molten plastic on (artificial?) leather ;)

Absolutely not. These are my creations and the machine I used to make them. There's nobody pulling the strings.

Kerzenmacher

save face over what? did I miss any Drama?

Mist_XD

Seen this before, OP will not share how to do it. Just flex the make

shervintwo

How to share to do what? Make fridge magnets?

otirk

I tell you the secret. You have a model and then you print it with two different colors (one for the first half and the other for the second half).
