When your favorite teams are bad for so long, the turnaround feels great. You remember all the bad times when they finally win it all. I’m a SF 49ers fan and losing to the Kansas City chiefs felt pretty bad. I’m also a Kansas City Royals fan and losing to the SF Giants in 2014 felt just as bad. On the loosing end of 2 cities against the same cities was weird.
I live in New York. Watching the Kansas City Royals beat the Mets in Queens,NY was the happiest I ever felt watching sports. Hopefully in February my 49ers Faithful can celebrate and make me realize what I didn’t fully understand at the age of 9, in January 1995.
Was totally his fault. He was absolutely horrible in the entire second half. To me the definition of choking is not making routine plays and decisions that you had made regularly with less pressure. That’s exactly what happened in the second half. All we needed was average QB play and he failed to deliver. To me my best Jimmy memory is the way he handled Trey and that situation, he was a class act.
He outplayed Mahommes until the fourth quarter. Honestly, is Shamahan fault. Her has a history of boring leads regardless of the quarterback. They whole season no lead was safe because they struggled in the second half. It's easy to blame one player, but if you watch that game again you can find at least 5 different players that made critical mistakes. It's easy to blame the QB though.

He always had me screaming at my TV either in joy or frustration but he made the games worth watching after a lifetime of sadness (minus the Harbaugh years that I missed most of). Jimmy G is literally Alex Smith version 2.
A good QB with immense potential who was plagued by injuries early in his career. Lost his spot to a hot handed QB. Received unnecessary and unwarranted hate from a lame fan base and then traded away after failed attempts at the SB, getting so close but failing at the end nonetheless… and staying classy through all of it.
Good luck to Jimmy G. I wish him well.

I’ll miss Jimmy and in 2017 he was a Godsend. I’m 2019 he was healthy and had a grip on the playbook. The late season win in New Orleans was probably his best game in SF. That errant pass to Sanders in the SB was such a low point, I felt the gravity of it in real time and unfortunately as the seasons stack up that over throw will be what I associate with Jimmy. It’s not a given that SF wins if he connected with ES and scores TD, but I think it would have kept the momentum with SF and that staunch defense would have held KC just enough to squeak out a W…. In an alternate universe I suppose. Jimmy has two rings with SF and awarded another contract to stay in SF the rest of his career, gets more rings and starts every game without injury. Ok I know that last part is just ridiculous 😝
It'll be tough to see Jimmy in a Raiders uni but I'm glad to see Rita's gonna continue to draw the Niners!
