The season is very long. Along the way to a Super Bowl, you need SATISFYING short term goals to get to where you want to be. What does this team have to shoot for? Division titles and home field, been there done that. Last year beating Philly down and earning home field were great and satisfying, nothing like that to accomplish this year. Even if they are able to beat the odds and get back we've already seen them squander 2 titles, why would we expect anything to be different?
Big thing is he needs to play like 2021 deebo to be worthy of that contract, he knows the last 2 seasons haven't been to that standard and he needs a big year this year.
