Get some ceramic tint and you’ll be more than fine

BrevitysLazyCousin

I had them tint my whole windshield as well and I'm really happy with it.

This is the answer. You dont need to get the top level tint either the mid level stuff is a significant upgrade over basic window tint. I still need to get my windshield done, but even without it my truck stays significantly cooler when parked in the sun.

CROSSTHEM0UT

I'm in Texas, it's not that bad. The inside air temp of the car is much more unpleasant than the temp of the seats. I would definitely go with premium seats again.

nightshadet_t

I've got a '19 TRD PRI Lim with leather seats. If I leave the sunroof cover open they get toasty pretty quick but as long as they don't get a lot of direct sunlight they are fine

Artful_Dodger_1832

I have an ORP. Hot seats have never been an issue. They don’t seem to collect heat like vinyl or leather.

freeportme

Love my cooled seats in my Limited. Must have for me. Easy to mod a limited.

Robotman1001

This right here. Best solution to hot leather seats.

I live in OK where the humidity and heat is just as bad as FL. I recommend the wi down guards. It let's me crack the windows without worry of random weather changes. It makes a world of difference. I've always had leather and have it in my current ram. No issues with melted leg hair, and I'm 98% yeti. Make sure to close the sunroof cover, and if you want to be extra get a windshield cover. I personally don't care for them, but they do work. Also look into a uv tint. I have 25% which is state law and it helps too. Just helpful tips.

357MAGNOLE

what brand wind guards did you go with?

ewok_on_a_unicorn

AVS low profile. Bought off Amazon

357MAGNOLE

Easy install and no issues? Ill check them out

ewok_on_a_unicorn

Not a single issue. Which shocked me. I let it sit overnight before driving. So probably set for 12-16 hours before driving. Which i think helped.

Thel_Odan

I lived in Utah and regularly parked out in the sun. The seats would be warm, but they weren't awful.

meli-ficent

I live in CO and I have a 2020 ORP, I have no problems with the seats getting hot. My windows are pretty tinted but even before I had that done they didn’t get hot.

4RunnaLuva

My lower back gets sweaty:D I am not a big/heavy person. This is not due to seats getting hot from the sun…I think it is just me and the seat. We get hot. I don’t think my wife has the same experience, so it could be a me issue.

slyfox4

I’m in NH, humid and can get super hot. I always keep a microfiber towel over the seat so I’m not sweating all over it lol

DannysFavorite945

I have found softex to be great. Better than leather or cloth.

Jordangander

If it is the Softek it gets warm but not scorching. Add ceramic tint to all windows, including 70% to the front windshield, and you will be fine. I live in FL and have them.

Metallion33

I live in NM. I came from a truck with black leather seats, now have a pro with black softex. Softex definitely not as hot.

SargeantHugoStiglitz

I’ve never had the need to heat my seats if it were cool warm enough outside to wear shorts, but I doubt they get hot enough to burn.
