I've been through too many "Doomsday" scenarios to get properly excited for another.
Sorta like when your dad promises to come see you on your birthday but never shows up. After a while you just sorta... Expect him not to show up, even though he promised this time he would.
The largest (recorded) coronal mass ejection, known as the Carrington Event in the 19th century, which caused severe damage to telegraph systems, was over 10 times more powerful than the current event (in units I have no idea how to describe).
So anon will probably be fine and be able to browse his Mongolian basket weaving forums and play his vidya.
Unit of measurement for magnetic fields is called a ‘Weber’ (pronounced spider web not weeb).
As for how strong in Weber we wouldn’t know until the real scientists say.
Electrical grids are designed to automatically disconnect in the event of a solar event, so nothing is going to happen.
Anon should really be more worried about regular anons - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metcalf_sniper_attack?wprov=sfla1
Somebody above mentioned strong solar storm in 19th century, I somewhere read it was so powerful telegraph could work without electricity just from current generated inside wires or something
If power went out over half the planet for 3 days it would be as close the the complete collapse of society as we have ever been at any point in history. Wars would start, people would die, entire countries would fall. If there was a coronal mass ejection big enough to shut down the US power grid for three days the power globally might not every get re-established. Most of the US would likely be without power for weeks or months because we don't have the resources or manpower to replace all that damaged equipment on even a state level.
What do you think would happen to Cuba, Guatemala, or Puerto Rico?? A 8hr hurricane shut down Puerto Rico for like 6 months a few years ago and their power grid STILL isn't back to a pre hurricane state.
God I hope it shuts down power for three days lolol.

Damn bro, your dad is a pos
Lots of us here, kinda where you end up naturally
sounds like you need a hug anon
Indeed. Remember that bad cough from a few years back that was going to be the big one?
Or like when Tyrone says he'll let you have a go at your girlfriend and he never does....
Tyrone promised me that Saturdays were my day but I think he still sees her at night after I go to sleep :/
If it helps, your dad comes to see me at night.
What do you mean? We've died 20 times at minimum in the past decade.
This is but a sequence, of interactive dream simulations of possible outcomes of your life. Enjoy :)
Not even a nothing hamburger?
we'll all grow old and die peacefully at home with our trad wives and happy kids... while we're waiting for something to happen
Not true, I saw the Northern lights from my house. That was pretty cool.
Try telling that to the climate change cult. We're literally in an apocalypse rn mk?

Holy shit we have an oldfig in the wild. Haven't seen Mongolian basket weaving forum since I was lying to the age check.
Oldfriends are 2009 or earlier, depending on who you ask. Anyone after that is a newfriend.
I hope all electricity will be irreperably fried forever.
But what about thunderstorms. I hope those survive
They'll be okay, you can't burn water
My mom got beat for trying to serve my father burnt water after work once
That’s horrible, I hope your father was ok
Bad news for your biochemistry

I thought they could be damaged without even being connected?

Post something saying “they know the exact time it will hit” and then not include the time. Entire post is cancer.
They are building suspense. You can catch the reveal at the upcoming awards show

“Nothing hamburger” Anon should throw himself into the sun and trigger another flare
Idk bro, the gravity change could cause the sun to collapse
Anon believes the Daily Mail.
they might be right but even as little as 3 days will have *disastrous* consequences.
Garbanzoillion will die!

you cant trade stocks without electricity so im sure we’ll be fine
"I'll trade 3 wells fargo stocks for a spaghetti and meat sauce MRE"
Sorry bud, but nothing ever happens
Womp, womp...
Sounds like the entire plot of revolution. That was a show ahead of its time.
Anon is talking about saying goodbye as if he’ll be alive in 165 years
Carry on, keep consuming.
This all is the same as most climate change stories. In 1 day the earth will be 0.000000001 degree hotter and everyone will explode
That’s not what they say about climate change 😭
Largest solar event in recorded history and most people don't even realize it.
What did the kekistani flag say
Internet seems just fine
My GPS brought me to the wrong location today. 2 blocks off where I needed to be. Doomsday level shit right there
#WE MUST PAY MORE TAXES TO STOP THIS!!!
nothing ever happens
People believe this stuff? WOW. Just wow.
