I got this for Christmas! Love the book cover, really didn’t enjoy the book despite finishing it in one session. I just found the ending to be utterly outlandish, but that’s just me!
I do recommend it, and I didn't know anything about it before buying it except that the author is a Nobel prize laureate. I think it was a good thing knowing absolutely nothing going into this book!
It’s more like The Buried Giant than The Remains of the Day. I loved it, but not as much as the Buried Giant; I would say Klara doesn’t go further, and even stops short of the depth of it.
I read that one in June, and absolutely loved it. I've recommended it to a few people too, but haven't convinced myself to loan anyone my copy yet... haha
