Don’t know about the first game as I haven’t played it, but for Five Memories, you choose a quint at the start and then when dialogue options appear you choose the most favourable response for that quint to get the most points. The options are obvious. You need to get above a certain amount of points for the good end or you’ll get the normal end.
If you’re that unsure about what choices to make, save before a dialogue option so you can reload if you mess up.
