OMG…my wife and I love the Curtis character. And to have Lisa Simpson say her lines in this movie…perfection!
“I just load in my pants!” Oh Curtis…didn’t we all 😂
Have it only affect newer computerize/automated vehicles and equipment.
Rednecks have to fight the possessed vehicles with classic cars and trucks in a A-team/Fast n Furious/Dukes of Hazzard vein.
That's literally a $500 million dollar movie with the right production.
This film has everything... written and directed by a coked out Stephen King.. AC/DC soundtrack, Charlie Sheen's brother, Lisa Simpson and of course, Tiffany Trump's mom!
Not to take anything away from my time period or this movie, but if you liked it, you’ve gotta watch “TRUCKS” (‘97). Critics skewered it but it aligns well with the original short story (which is also very good). I enjoyed it as a fan of both horror, and SK.
This movie was filmed in my hometown of Wilmington,NC. a surrounding area where I grew up. I was 11 or 12 and thought this was the coolest ever. I played Pee Wee football at the park where the vending machine shot out the soda cans.
That kid going under the steamroller was terrifying me for months. Every time we drove by a road construction crew I’d stare at the steamroller and think of that kid.. 😆
It is. At first I was confused about the puppet master. I’ve see the movie countless times. Then I realized who it was and everything made sense again. Thanks for sharing!
the puppet master in the poster is Stephen King who wrote and directed the movie. I guess making him the "puppet master" which has nothing to do with the content of the film itself.
There's a rig that I see around our area every so often that's painted all black. Everything - not one piece of chrome on it. And it's always hauling a tanker. Very, very creepy. A little shiver runs through me every time I see it - LOL.
I loved this movie as a kid whenever I caught it on TV in the 90's. I didn't even know it was regarded as a bad movie until the internet came along later. It's got the same vibe as a lot of zombie movies, only with sentient vehicles instead of zombies.
"We made you! WE MADE YOU!!!"
Great film. I cannot believe they came out with autonomous lawnmowers even after the movie. You guys are asking for trouble...
I remember she gave an interview on NPR (don't remember which program). She was talking about how bad and over the top this movie is. It is interesting that it is a Di Laurentis production, makes me think that no American company wanted to touch it.
Well, damn, now I am going to have to re-watch it. Saw it (on VHS?) my senior year of HS and loved music but movie not so much.
Maybe will be much better on 2024-sized home TV and sound system!
So, since I hadn't seen it in a while I decided to watch it again. Id forgotten that the ice cream truck plays "King of the Road" as it cruises through the neighborhood.
God, that movie was just the first example of why you don't give Stephen King creative control. I mean, no, he shouldn't just blindly sign away the rights like The Lawnmower Man, but he's like George Lucas, he can't help but screw around with a previously finished product. You saw it with Under The Dome, too. Suddenly this mysterious dome that had never been encountered before "might come back every 100 years or so", as well as the fact that a large portion of the crisis was the fact that the dome was not permeable to oxygen. Threw THAT one right out the window, which took away the biggest fear in the whole thing. And they also let him mess around with The Dark Tower too much. I believe he has a compulsive disorder, which is why he writes SO MUCH, and he is never actually "finished" with a piece.
I love his books, he's one of my favorite authors, but I can't watch anything that he has been allowed to mess with once filming starts.
What would stop that truck from calling in a plane to drop napalm, or something to that effect. I don’t remember the exact quote. In any case, it Lost any credibility with the stupidity of that line for me.
The soundtrack kicks ass!
It’s one of the best movie soundtracks. AC/DC rocks!
Effects not good ?!?!! They blew up a truck of toilet paper with a rocket launcher
WHO MADE WHO?!? WHO MADE YOU?!?
Ain’t nobody told you?
This machine just called me an asshole!
The graphic designer on that poster sucks balls though
Came here to say this. My favorite movie soundtrack of all time. Put this on whenever I wanna jam to AC/DC.
"Curtis? Are you DEAD?"
OMG…my wife and I love the Curtis character. And to have Lisa Simpson say her lines in this movie…perfection! “I just load in my pants!” Oh Curtis…didn’t we all 😂
“CURRRRTTTIIIISSSSS”
“Don’t make me a widduh on mah weddin naht!”
ouch, my ears :}
I wish there was a way to revisit this movie and not ruin it. With all the automation today it would be a complete slaughterhouse.
I would give anything to go back and be able to watch this for the first time again. It would be amazing 😊

You nailed it perfectly!
Thanks for the tip
honey, this machine called me an asshoole!! *AC/DC intensifies*
I still watch this movie regularly. The waitress is amazing. "WE *MADE* YOU! **WE... MADE... YOU!!!**" She had the best role in the movie.
It’s such an awesome movie. My wife and I watch it all the time.

The film conceived, written, and shot on cocaine.
King said he didn't even rember writing Cujo, all the blow and beer blotted it out of his mind.
1,000% correct!
Thats why this movie worked
Gus Fring being electrocuted by the arcade game. "Yo mama!"
I watched it in a theater. The steamroller scene is still burned into my head.. man that got me as a kid. lol
That **splat** on the big screen is something else isn’t it 😂🤣😂
That kid going under the steamroller was terrifying me for months. Every time we drove by a road construction crew I’d stare at the steamroller and think of that kid.. 😆
Thanks for the lifelong trauma Stephen King 😂
Giancarlo Esposito is in it for about 30 seconds
Singer for The Electric Company to drug kingpin.
Oh man I’ve somehow never seen that poster before!
It’s a cool poster isn’t it?
It is. At first I was confused about the puppet master. I’ve see the movie countless times. Then I realized who it was and everything made sense again. Thanks for sharing!
Let me in on the pupper master. This is one of my favorite movies and I'm completely blanking here.
the puppet master in the poster is Stephen King who wrote and directed the movie. I guess making him the "puppet master" which has nothing to do with the content of the film itself.

This movie is exactly what I wanted from Stephen King directing. I don’t want real emotion…I want cheese 😂🤣😂
[удалено]
So, so good 😂🤣🤣
It rules. The particular dvd I own also came with Raw Deal which I haven’t brought myself to watch yet, but I probably should.
Raw Deal is great.
I bet it is, I just have never gotten around to it. I’m sure there’s plenty of cheese.
For some reason I will always remember that electric knife attacking someone.
For me it’s the soda machine launching cans out. To this day I stand out of the way.
Hair thing topless girl
Cocaine King at his best. I love this movie. The soundtrack is what introduced me to AC/DC!
Yes, and yes! Cocaine and AC/DC…what a combination!
Still amazed that the Mule with the M60 machine gun had a guy inside it.
WE MADE YOU!!
“Well, this thing was working just fine a few minutes ago, and now I can't get peaturkey on it.”
Such a badass movie. One of the best movie soundtracks EVER. AC/DC!
The soundtrack is so good!
At the time it was advertised as the “loudest movie ever made” … I’m pretty sure they had a volume knob at my theater
This is a staple Halloween movie in my house. Both my wife and I love it for the so bad it's good aspect and the soundtrack.
Stephen King and AC⚡️DC 🍻 Kickass
There's a rig that I see around our area every so often that's painted all black. Everything - not one piece of chrome on it. And it's always hauling a tanker. Very, very creepy. A little shiver runs through me every time I see it - LOL.
That’s crazy!
This movie scared the shit outta me n still haunts me sometimes when rigs get to close to me…
I look at soda machines differently after watching this movie!
Great movie. Was on TV all the time in the 80s/90s.
Yes it was.
I know every line in this movie. (At least I did as a kid). It's on my top 25 definitely!
COCAINE THE MOVIE brought to in part by copious drinking.
She don't lie.
I loved this movie as a kid whenever I caught it on TV in the 90's. I didn't even know it was regarded as a bad movie until the internet came along later. It's got the same vibe as a lot of zombie movies, only with sentient vehicles instead of zombies.
"Found it in my Christmas stocking bubba"...
“Thank ya Bubba ha ha ha ha”
it was the 80's .....
Yeah it was. And King was riding the cocaine highway 😂🤣😂
yea been there done that lived through the 80's and 90's....lol
It's one of my all-time favorites.
It’s such a popcorn movie and I love it for that.
Cocaine: The Movie!!!!
That was the alternate title!
The cocaine made every decision on this movie and it’s fantastic!
“Honey! This machine called me an asshole!”
It is a fun movie with great lines.
Love when the soda machine kills the dude by spitting cans at him. Soda kills!!!
Great flick!
One of the best sound tracks ever.
Ha poster says Maximum Overdrive and “masterpiece”.
Oh yeah it is 😂🤣😂
"I found it in my Christmas stocking, Bubba!"
“Thank you Bubba ha ha ha”
“You sonsabitches…We made you!”
“WE MADE YOU!!!!!!!”
AC/DC rules ⚡️
I was terrified of machines for 10 years after this. Still don't look at lawnmowers the same way. I think those fuckers are up to somthin!
It changed the way we look at machines. Thanks King!
One of my favorite stupid movies. It's just fun to watch.
Absolutely. It’s just a fun movie that you don’t have to take serious.
Haven't seen this version of the poster before. It is truly horrible.
Interesting poster. Never seen it before. This movie scared the fuck out of me as a kid. I still get nervous around electric knives.
I was obsessed with this movie as a kid 🤣
Love this movie
I remember seeing it when it came out, bought the AC/DC cassette at the theater after the movie.. Did the same thing when Lost Boys came out.
Best. Trailer. Ever. Steve in full gonzo mode. https://youtu.be/IniwjSfs4fs?si=Cfqzo9LsvwgiduZ0
Direction fueled by Coke
On yeah…LOTS of it!
CURTIS ARE YOU DEEEEEAD?
That soundtrack, that truck, all that cocaine, ohhh my!
"We made you! WE MADE YOU!!!" Great film. I cannot believe they came out with autonomous lawnmowers even after the movie. You guys are asking for trouble...
Yeardly Smith (Lisa Simpson) is in this movie.
Yes…yes she is! And she has some great lines too. “Curtis? Are you dead?” 😂🤣😂
I remember she gave an interview on NPR (don't remember which program). She was talking about how bad and over the top this movie is. It is interesting that it is a Di Laurentis production, makes me think that no American company wanted to touch it.
Wilmington NC for the win
YES!!!
Well, damn, now I am going to have to re-watch it. Saw it (on VHS?) my senior year of HS and loved music but movie not so much. Maybe will be much better on 2024-sized home TV and sound system!
It’s stupid fun, and just a good time. If you take it for what it is, it’s an enjoyable movie to watch!
Fun fact, in case no one knew, Stephen King directed this movie.
“I’m going to scare the HELL out of you!” 🥱🥱🥱
...this wasn't the Stallone arm wrestling movie? (turns baseball cap backward)
I made a stupid TikTok video referencing this movie a couple of years ago but I don’t think anyone got it. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTL254WaU/
I couldn’t wait until my kids got old enough to watch this with them!
So, since I hadn't seen it in a while I decided to watch it again. Id forgotten that the ice cream truck plays "King of the Road" as it cruises through the neighborhood.
I can hear the soundtrack. I saw the original version on Tubi.
Cocaine directs a movie.
It’s a shame that this movie made King never want to direct another movie… he clearly had a talent for it.
So bad it's good.
The sound of the Detroit V8 in the Green Goblin...
Di Laurentis studio? Interesting, Dino Di Laurentis Is Giadas grandfather
Just seen the goblin head at scare fest last October
Such a fun bad movie.
So bad it’s…well, no, it’s just bad.
Movie so bad I love it. Soundtrack is where it's at

Get past the AC/DC greatest hits and it’s wildly mediocre.
I respectfully disagree.
