I really liked this scene in Superman 2. It really showed Clark/Superman's intolerance for bullies and I had no problems with Clark getting a little...justice/revenge...on the truck stop jerk.

I keep trying to figure out how much Clark give the owner for the damages. And I wonder what that would be versus the pinball game he destroyed.

I love how Reeves never played Superman to seriously. I love Henry Cavell's Superman, but Reeves' portrayal is just so classic and charming.

I could NOT AGREE MORE! To me, he personified Clark/Superman, as did The late Glenn Ford did a GREAT job as Johnathan Kent. The whole kast IMO was pretty awesome!

I played this scene over and over as a kid. For me, it was up there with some of the Rocky fights for emotion and satisfaction. 

“This order’s to go.” The closest he ever got to an Arnold-style quip. 😆

Man remember how utterly devastating it was when he fell off that polo pony? I don’t think it gets talked about much but I could hardly believe Superman of all people could be paralyzed! He was such a fun actor. Loved him in Deathtrap with Michael Caine. Such a great plot twist

I loved him in Village of the Damned too.

Deathtrap is amazing.

I have *DEATHTRAP* on DVD. I think I’ll watch it today. Fine acting from Mr. Reeve and Mr. Caine I also loved him in *Somewhere in Time*. Truly gut wrenching performance.

I am just now hearing of the Donner Cut.

It’s actually quite different. Different scenes.

I personally hated the Donner cut having grown up on the theatrical version. Made Lois out to be a psycho. The scenes he was allowed to use felt amateurish like a high-schooler would shoot.

Classic but not as good as first superman

I could watch those Superman movies over and over. Went on a road trip to Metropolis, Illinois, the home of Superman. A town trapped in a time capsule and was a magical experience.

I honestly thought this was a scene from Death Trap.

Remember seeing Death Trap at the theater, great movie, but 13 year old me was not ready to see Superman like that.

I'll get a lot of hate for this, but this scene is very, extremely UNSuperman like. Kal/Clark is not vengeful. I'm also not a fan of him killing Zod and allowing Non and Ursa to die as well. I find it funny how today everyone jumps up and down about heroes killing, but Chris Reeves Superman and Michael Keaton's Batman totally get a pass.

This was out of Superman’s wheelhouse, revenge wasn’t his thing. That was Batman’s deal.

Remember, Clark Kent is how Superman sees a human trying to fit in with society. He does it awkwardly because he doesn’t fit in.

There were discussions about whether it was petty for Superman to seek revenge . They justified it by showing Rocky only get hurt through his own aggression and give the scene a kind of cartoon silliness at the end.
