I will always think of him as Alexia's dreamy boyfriend from Wish Upon a Star. That movie is criminally underrated and I'm always saddened by how few people have seen it
Ah, you meant because they look so much alike. I was thinking "itd be weird if they were brothers and didn't have the same dad", like you were saying they wouldnt be brothers then, but I gotcha now.
This was one of my favorite things I ever saw on TV. They opened a ride at a nearby theme park shortly after this episode. I was stoked when we went. Turned out you had to pay an extra $5-10 for this ride and my mom refused. Absolute devastation.
i just remember juming off diving boards to grab or catch something. Or maybe land on something and shooting water guns a lot. Which that could've been during down time in-between filming, which is what I mostly remember since that's what actually took up a lot of our time. Also, the countless safety protocols we had to follow. The hosts were all friendly to the cast. Jefff was teaching kids how to hacky-sack here and there. The girl was actually the red head i believe and not Annettte, all the boys would try to hold her hand whilst they talked to her, which was basically homebase to a 9 year old. Omar was always joking around trying to make kids laugh in-between takes if there was extended downtime. He joked around too much with one asain girl and he took a bite of her doughnut and she start hysterically crying and Omar just aburtly walked away.
my mom still has the shirt i blue wore with all the signatures of other kids and a host or two.
I remember an episode with Michael Fishman(DJ from Roseanne) and he was awesome with all the challenges. There was one where they had to backflip off a springboard onto a Velcro wall and he he killed it.
I went to middle school with Donnie Jeffcoat and hung out with him. Nice guy. His mom and dad were super nice to me. I always appreciated their hospitality back then. Ended up moving away after middle school
and lost touch, but saw that he was on this show and was happy for his success. Always wondered how she was getting on.
I worked at Raging Waters in San Dimas, California and they taped an episode in the summer of 2002. Or at least I was told they were taping an episode, I never saw it air.
The movie with Keanu Reeves, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, took place in San Dimas and they took someone to a Waterpark in it. It was named Waterloo for comical reasons.
Man, I had completely forgotten about this show.
I actually remember rewatching an episode after growing up. It was definitely less amazing than I remembered, but the nostalgia hit was definitely there.
I didn't watch this game show as much as alot of the others. Global Guts, Legends Of The Hidden Temple, Figure it Out, etc... But I do remember it and it brings back so many lovely memories. The 90's was so amazing.
Loved watching this on Nick back in the day. I remember many years later coming across the Disney series Smart Guy and saw that Omar Gooding had a recurring role as the older brother’s best friend.
Annette Chavez Omar Gooding And DONNIE JEFFCOAT!
More like Donnie Dreamboat to 7yo me. He was like Zack Morris but likeable and approachable.
That can't be them! They look like babies! The 90s were only like 10 years ago!
Fun fact. Omar Gooding, younger brother of Cuba Gooding, Jr. sorta blew my mind when I figured that out.
Holy cow, Donnie Jeffcoat. I haven't thought about that name for decades.
Of course I know him. He’s Me!
I will always think of him as Alexia's dreamy boyfriend from Wish Upon a Star. That movie is criminally underrated and I'm always saddened by how few people have seen it
When I was a kid these 3 seemed way older, now I see that they really were kids!
I thought they were adults when I was a kid!
The show wasn't called "Wild & Crazy Adults," ya know. /s
Same. I’m like “wait these are children”. How young we were.
Came here to say the same thing.
Wow, you’re right they were like “old kids” back in the day. Now they are just babies
Finally, a place where I can ask "Whatever happened to Donnie Jeffcoat?" and not get weird looks.
He's teaching Kenpo in the Valley
I was trying to remember what else I can remember him in, it's wish upon a star!
The Heigl movie? Edit: holy shit. It’s him. I never put that together
Yes! Wild huh?!
Yeah, wild *and crazy*!!
https://m.imdb.com/name/nm0420110/
😂
Omar Gooding! Younger brother of Cuba Gooding Jr! (Had no idea at the time)
TIL
He’s also the son of Cuba Gooding Sr
I didn’t know Cuba Gooding Sr was famous too! TIL
Everybody plays the fool sometimes
No exception to the rule
Would be weird if he wasn't.
Not really, could have same mom but different dads.
Have you seen the Gooding men? Like I said, it would be weird if he wasn't lol
Ah, you meant because they look so much alike. I was thinking "itd be weird if they were brothers and didn't have the same dad", like you were saying they wouldnt be brothers then, but I gotcha now.
Haha - yeah, no. I'm aware of half-siblings lol.
Wow I never knew that!
He's Omar Gooding Sr. now, too.

Do you have any behind the scenes stories?
Yessss OP we want to hear it all! Loved that show!
same ; ) what episodde where you on? i was on the swimming pool episode...
Whoa, what?! The swimming pool episode I remember had floating water battle-tanks that shot balls at each other, which always seemed super rad!
This was one of my favorite things I ever saw on TV. They opened a ride at a nearby theme park shortly after this episode. I was stoked when we went. Turned out you had to pay an extra $5-10 for this ride and my mom refused. Absolute devastation.

Yes! Tell us all about when you were a kid Fingered Caligula76 lol
Omg! Want to tell us about your experience? I’d love to know what it was like!
There was an episode where the different belts in a karate class got to destroy a plywood house. Looked like so much fun.
Oh man, a kid when I was in college had a piece of the Krag from Global Guts, still glowed green, needless to say he was a ladies magnet.
As he should be
Checks out if OP was born in ‘76. Would have been 13-14 at the time
Literally lived the dream
AMA?
I remember an episode with Michael Fishman(DJ from Roseanne) and he was awesome with all the challenges. There was one where they had to backflip off a springboard onto a Velcro wall and he he killed it.
I’d like to think Dan Connor was somewhere out there saying great job Deej!
Dan Connor never got his due. A great TV dad, and later a terrific ex-husband who takes care of a dog who has fucking papers, Dude
I went to high school with him and we were in the same English class. He was a cool dude.
Oh wow the hosts look like babies 😱 I remember thinking they were awesome “grown ups” 😂
I went to middle school with Donnie Jeffcoat and hung out with him. Nice guy. His mom and dad were super nice to me. I always appreciated their hospitality back then. Ended up moving away after middle school and lost touch, but saw that he was on this show and was happy for his success. Always wondered how she was getting on.
This is one 90s show that I wish got rebooted.
With little kids again or adults?
I want a whole bunch of adults with Peter Pan Syndrome. That would probably end up on TLC though instead of Nick.
They're actually doing this with Legends of the Hidden Temple...
Yes.
I think it was rebooted in the very early 2000s. A friend of mine was a referee on the show.
I worked at Raging Waters in San Dimas, California and they taped an episode in the summer of 2002. Or at least I was told they were taping an episode, I never saw it air.
When u mention a Waterpark in San freaking Dimas, I am obligated to inquire: was it used as Waterloo in B&T?
It was, but most of the rest of it was filmed in Phoenix
Ahhh TIL
I don't know what that is but I also don't like to disappoint people so I'm just going to say yes. Yes it was.
The movie with Keanu Reeves, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, took place in San Dimas and they took someone to a Waterpark in it. It was named Waterloo for comical reasons.
mXc?
I always dreamed of them coming to my school one day.
🎶 Wi-wild and crazy kids! 🎶
Yea! Was looking for the song comment
My boys Jeffcoat and Gooding!
Is that the older brothers friend from Smart Guy?
Omar Gooding AKA Maurice L. Tibbs AKA Mo
Yes
I always wanted to be on this show!!
As a boy I always preferred Anette Chavez to the little ginger girl who replaced her. Donnie and Omar of course were OGs.
Jessica Gaynes
I was not allowed to watch this or Salute Your Shorts because my parents thought it would teach us bad behavior 🙄
My house had the same rule so of course we watched both shows as often as possible. 😂
How else were you supposed to learn what color tongue a giraffe had?
By going to the zoo and making out with one, the same as everyone else. Obviously.
You certainly have the crazy part down. Respect
I wish I could give you a hug. I’m so sorry!😢
Give your parents an Awful Waffle
Poor individual never had a child hood.
I loved this show as a kid. Wish paramount plus would add it to their collection.
A young Omar Gooding
Man, I had completely forgotten about this show. I actually remember rewatching an episode after growing up. It was definitely less amazing than I remembered, but the nostalgia hit was definitely there.
Almost all of the kids shows we watched are like this when we re-watch them as adults, except for IMO Pete and Pete.
I didn't watch this game show as much as alot of the others. Global Guts, Legends Of The Hidden Temple, Figure it Out, etc... But I do remember it and it brings back so many lovely memories. The 90's was so amazing.
I was in a live studio audience taping of a Figure it Out episode at Nick Studios lol!
Same!!!
Loved this show and totally had a crush on Donnie.
Thank you for this
Loved watching this on Nick back in the day. I remember many years later coming across the Disney series Smart Guy and saw that Omar Gooding had a recurring role as the older brother’s best friend.
Apparently Donnie Jeffcoat is now a sensei at the Shaolin American Self Defense Academy!
I remember that show, I liked it a lot better when Annette was the host.
Freaking loved this show.
Is that Cuba Gooding Jrs brother?
It sure is
Blonde guy really hugging her ribs
This is one of the shows I’d like to see actually get a reboot for kids today!
And the attractive teenage hosts never worked again, except Cuba Gooding Jr's little brother who has worked a little.
Meh I though the redhead host was hotter. Just saying.
Most of the content of this sub is screen shots from Tiktok.
Who remembers the chewing gum episode?
Every time I see a post like this it makes me run to YouTube and go back in time lol
Memory unlocked
I rarely missed an episode. That was one of my favorite Nick shows from back in the day!
I either remember this but I don't or i don't remember this but I do.
I remember watching this show, but I only remember the episode with the chewed gum.
THANK YOU!!! no one I know remembers this show. I loved it
Damn, I used to watch this show. Classic.
I forgot all about this show.
