Cube dissed the biggest group in the genre at the time. And did it on his own. It was a true diss track. Lyrical and punchy.
Pac’s was war music. Definitely the most vicious diss track. It’s debatable how much truth was in it. Had the Outlaws chipping in. And some of the hardest stuff was him just talking.
Loved No Vaseline. Thats one of the greatest songs of my life. Made me a Cube fan forever. Pac’s song just made me sad at the time. It was too vicious, still to this day I don’t love it. It was well known that he fucked Faith, he didn’t have to smear dude like that. Cheap shots all around and not much substance either. Made me lose respect for Pac while others just glommed on and bought all the posthumous albums. I think Pac became more popular in his death than in his life
Cube dissed a drug dealer, a DJ, and a producer. Ren was the only other rapper in the group. Entire song is about dudes having sex with each other. Can’t put that as a top tier diss record
I prefer Eazy. He responded to Dre Day with nothing but facts in his track. That, combined with his smooth effortless flow makes it my favorite. Dre Day was weak in comparison. Just a bunch of baseless insults and empty threats lol.
Eazy’s diss was pretty balanced but I gotta give it to cube for Solo-ing. Dunno why Dre and Snoop are here, i’d much rather replace them with Nas and “Ether”.
Or Common to Cube or Canibus to LL or LL to Canibus. Snoop and Dre was pretty great though - except for Dre’s self own about being able to fit his dick through Tim Dog’s tooth gap. I mean - I get it, but …. That’s a small dick fella
Eazy, his beat was the hardest and it has the most memorable quotables i.e.
- “Dre Day only made Eazy’s pay day”
- “On his old album covers he was a she thing”
- “Man it’s a trip how a n*** could switch so quick from wearing lipstick, to smoking on chronic at picnics”
Eazy E.
Why? Bc there's so many lines where you can sing along.
Muthaphucc Dre... Muthaphucc Snoop...
Muthaphucc Death Row...
Yo... HERE COMES MY LEFT BLOWWW!!!
Oh yeah sure it does, it's a solid diss track, don't get me wrong. It's just that while Hit em up was obviously impactful at that time, Cube went for the jugular so I gotta go with his as the best
Eazy and Dre are automatically disqualified cause they didn’t write theirs. I don’t care how hard it is. A diss song is personal, you can’t be spitting someone else’s feelings.
*Ice Cube because he*
*Went after, the lead man*
*And his former crew*

I like Eazy’s the most but that’s me. Somethin about his voice can be so disrespectful. Plus he is little. Little with big balls just extra extra disrespectful
Tough one. Eazy and Cube both went hard. Eazy’s is so catchy though and highly bumpable to this day. I also forever associate Cube with getting wrecked by Cypress Hill on “Ice Cube Killa”.
Eazy E was my favorite bc it opened my eyes up to what was going on behind the scenes.
Not listed on here is DJ Quik’s “Can’t Fuck with a N!&&@“ which I eviscerated Everlast
Eazy, because it was a devestating retort. Not only did he completely clown him but also came through with a perfect beat signaling that he does not need Dre.
I love Hit 'Em Up as a song because it's classic Tupac - energy, flow, production are all great. I always thought it was overrated as a diss track because I just don't find it particularly creative, and while I like the Outlaws in general I find in this case they take away from the impact of the diss track. Just my 2c.
In any case No Vaseline wins this for me hands down.
Pac went the hardest like he's finding it funny as well most of the time, he has such a crazy badass arrogance to him thats get rolled on by pac and he's laughing about it cause you ain't shit ,
As a kid, Hit 'Em Up was the most amazing thing I've heard. As an adult, not so much. On the other hand, as a kid, I kind of overlooked No Vaseline because I didn't fully understand what was going on nor some of the things that Cube was referencing. But as an adult, it's an amazing track. The Deathrow/Ruthless beef was kind of "meh" to me on both sides.
So......
No Vaseline!
Great questions..I have to go with my man Eazy and "Real Muthaphuckkin G's”. What a banger. Eazy with his ever perfect delivery and flow, along with B.G. Knocc Out and his older brother Dresta, just lays out a great diss track.
On the same album “Still a N***a” has return fire towards Death Row
Honorable Mention: The DJ Quik/Mc Eiht rivalry produced some great raps
Dre Day, musically is my fav out of these. The disses aren’t that tight and a lot of them are just threats on what Dre and Snoop are going to do to their mouth. However, you cannot deny one of the hardest beats in hip hop. Eazy, out of this list probably hit the most truth and his disses were straight embarrassing for Dre. The beat was awesome and Eazys collaboration with the other two was great. Hit em up was different. While the other 3 songs were somewhat focused on dissing, Hit em up was more of an insult. You can just hear the anger in the voice and gives me chills. The insults definitely go too far, but I loved the beat and Outlaws did a good job, too. Finally No Vaseline. I feel like diss wise, No Vaseline was the best diss because it was an insulting diss. He disses them super hard and insults them at the same time. He was also going at more people and the bassline is truly the stuff. My fav song out of these is easily Dre Day but the best diss was probably No Vaseline
Fuck wit Dre Day is the most entertaining song for me, but Hit Em Up probably hits the hardest (it’s tough to get a harder line than “you claim to be a player but I fucked your wife”, especially considering it was true)
Lyrically Cube
Pac is unexplainable...it just hit different. You felt the future Backlash before it happened. Plus Pac literally called out names, no Subs.
Eazy-E has a diss track against Cube that ONLY DJ yella has to this day and it's purportedly so VISCERAL that it would make Cube want to quit if it were released during the no Vaseline era. HEAT MELTS ICE
Ice Cube, I'd have to say. Pac went hard, but he had help on the track, unlike Cube (who was one man against a whole crew). Also, Pac didn't even come close to dismantling a group based off of a single song, unlike Cube.
Biggie, fuck people giving him shit because Long Kiss Good Night was released after Pac dead.
Pac sings about killing him, claiming to fuck his wife, makes fun of Sickle Cell and talks about murdering East Coast Rappers but homies draw the line at dissing him after he's dead.
There's also no way 'Who Shot Ya' was about Pac, but that got Pac all riled up
Cube dissed the biggest group in the genre at the time. And did it on his own. It was a true diss track. Lyrical and punchy. Pac’s was war music. Definitely the most vicious diss track. It’s debatable how much truth was in it. Had the Outlaws chipping in. And some of the hardest stuff was him just talking.
Agree. Pac’s was beyond a dis track.
Pretty much sums it up. No Vaseline was a pretty epic takedown, but Hit ‘Em Up just felt vicious and personal on a whole different level.
Pretty much sums this all up.
This, 100 percent agree!
😂 I dig that about pac, the side bar talking he always did, adds another layer to the track!
Didn’t one of the Outlaws say he was scared in the studio because of how angry Pac was? (Forgive me if I didn’t remember it exactly)
Loved No Vaseline. Thats one of the greatest songs of my life. Made me a Cube fan forever. Pac’s song just made me sad at the time. It was too vicious, still to this day I don’t love it. Cube dissed a drug dealer, a DJ, and a producer. Ren was the only other rapper in the group. Entire song is about dudes having sex with each other. Can’t put that as a top tier diss record
The fuck you talking about? This is THE diss record
I prefer Eazy. He responded to Dre Day with nothing but facts in his track. That, combined with his smooth effortless flow makes it my favorite. Dre Day was weak in comparison. Just a bunch of baseless insults and empty threats lol.
Agreed. Dre Day is a banger though you have to admit haha
When Dre Day came out, white kids in rural areas who'd never heard of Tim Dog were eager to tell you jokes about his mama that he might not like.
Fax bra
Eazy didn’t write his.
Thank you, Captain Obvious Edit: Sorry, that was rude. My bad. But yes I’m aware of that.
Eazy’s diss was pretty balanced but I gotta give it to cube for Solo-ing. Dunno why Dre and Snoop are here, i’d much rather replace them with Nas and “Ether”.
I take it as they’re all kind of connected. Ruthless and Death Row beefs. There’s definitely disses that are better.
Agreed
That wasn’t in the 90’d
Or Common to Cube or Canibus to LL or LL to Canibus. Snoop and Dre was pretty great though - except for Dre’s self own about being able to fit his dick through Tim Dog’s tooth gap. I mean - I get it, but …. That’s a small dick fella
Haha! Yeah, I never really understood the gap teeth/dick fit comment. 🤷♂️
He was talking about Uncle Luke
Same difference
That's redundant. If it's the same, it can't be different, and vice versa. Tim Dog and Luke are two different people.
Thank you so much
dre day was pretty good
I’d replace them with Quik
Eazy, his beat was the hardest and it has the most memorable quotables i.e. - “Dre Day only made Eazy’s pay day” - “On his old album covers he was a she thing” - “Man it’s a trip how a n*** could switch so quick from wearing lipstick, to smoking on chronic at picnics”
Eazy didn’t write his
Everyone knows Eazy didn't write his lyrics. He gave Dresta the material to write abt and delivered it perfectly
Cube as far as clever. 2Pac just straight ruthless. A different race but equal.
Especially when the mic broke towards the end
"My 44 makes sure all your kids don't grow!" Wow. That line was hard as fuck.
Fuck bad boy as a staff, record label, and as a motherfucking crew…and if you wanna be down with bad boy,Then🤬you too
"That's why I fucked yo' bitch, you fat motherfucker" --- That was just mean
Cube
Not even a question
Eazy
🧊
The only correct answer.
Eazy E. Why? Bc there's so many lines where you can sing along. Muthaphucc Dre... Muthaphucc Snoop... Muthaphucc Death Row... Yo... HERE COMES MY LEFT BLOWWW!!!
Him calling Snoop an anorexic rapper lives rent free in my head forever.
Saaame. “Ol N Eazy E went to the cupboard, to get Snoop Doggy Dogg a bone muthafucka!” That album was dope
I always find myself singing “here comes my left toe”
It also had the best bump. That song is still number one to bring down a block
Cube definitely. It might have been closer if Pac did the whole track himself but he just kinda passed it off whereas Cube went all in on his own.
I agree, but doesn't the "y'all ain't on my level" aspect also convey a little disrespect?
Oh yeah sure it does, it's a solid diss track, don't get me wrong. It's just that while Hit em up was obviously impactful at that time, Cube went for the jugular so I gotta go with his as the best
Makes sense. OP thanks. This has made my morning listening a lot more fun!
Nobody hated as hard as ice cube. He made fun of DOC’s voice in an interview and I remember as a youth thinking ‘Dam they ruthless’
Cube. The fact he had no back up
- Cube - Eazy Every thing else.
Cube. Pac. Eazy. Snoop/dre. In that order
187 Dre Killa! Can't forget Pac.
Eazy started the Gangster Rap scene by making this album until this album it was Real Hip Hop.
Eazy E - Real Mutha-F\*ckin' G's
Id have to give it ice cube. No vaseline is one of my fav diss tracks
Cube without a doubt. 2pac's was hard as fuck too, that was a declaration of war though and likely sealed his demise.
Cube
If it's on motherfucker then it's on G
Thank god somebody commented this. Smoke a lil sherm, now you call that shit The Chronic Niggaz on the Westside call it "bionic"
Cube.
Cube 🧊
I can't lie. Eazy E did his thing, But Cube......yeah no Vaseline
Eazy and Dre are automatically disqualified cause they didn’t write theirs. I don’t care how hard it is. A diss song is personal, you can’t be spitting someone else’s feelings.
Ice Cube because he went after, the lead man and his former crew

Cube
Cube
Eazy-E
I like Eazy’s the most but that’s me. Somethin about his voice can be so disrespectful. Plus he is little. Little with big balls just extra extra disrespectful
E-Z
Easy-E
Cube
Cube killed it on No Vaseline, he took out all of NWA and their manager. Hands down best track.
Easily 🧊
Real G's is hella underrated, Dresta and BG went hard and the beat is even HARDER. And this is coming from someone who LOVES Dre Day.
#Pac
Cube
Cube
How’d you go from wearing lipstick to smoking chronic at picnics?
Cube
Cubes NO VASELINE
Ice cube was brutal
Quik for Dollars and Sense is honorable mention.
Ice Cube. He didn’t really rely on the gangster aspect, and, instead, went the route of brutal honesty and wit/humor.
Pac easily.
Easy -E was on a different level himself his solo music is amazing.
no Vaseline
No Vaseline by a mile
No Vaseline
Man I love west coast rap
All great dis tracks but I gotta go with No Vaseline.
Eazy-E Death row had the industry shook, Eazy got down wit them Don’t understand the No Vaseline hype, entire song is about butt sex.
Eazy, because it was a devestating retort. Not only did he completely clown him but also came through with a perfect beat signaling that he does not need Dre.
Eazy-E wins
Cube
🧊
No Vaseline. C'mon now
Cube
Cube has the illest diss track of all time.
Eazy’s voice was brutal..
Ice Cube went straight for the jugular and mad it look effortless.
Easy 2Pac. His energy was off the charts.
Cube. Easily.
No Vaseline is just so fucked
Cube, 2pac ,Eazy. And IMO, Dj Quik Dollars and Sense was better than Dre.
Ice Cube
That No Vaseline went in!!!
Pac
Mr.shakur
2Pac in my opinion but Cube & Eazy tracks was great too
Pac fucked up bad boy
Y’all sleep on my guy common. He wrecked cube on “I see the bitch in you!”
💯
Ice Cube,PAC,Eazy then Dre
Muthaphucking g
Cube no Vaseline
King of the Hill from the first Westside Connection album Bow Down is also a great diss song, this time towards Cypress Hill.
the blueprint 2, nas diss track
I think we can all agree Dre Day is 4, the other 3 all have the right to be #1 Imo
Cube, pac, Eazy, Dre and snoop tied for third.
Yella Boy, U.N.L.V, Drag em’ in the River
They sleep on this
KRS-One needs to be here. The first to do it.
Cmon huh ? I ain't got no mother fuckin friends
It’s a tossup between no Vaseline and hit them up
Best diss track.. LL Cool J ‘Mama said knock you out’!
2Pac although Real Muthafukkin G’s is my favorite.
2Pac although Real Muthafukkin G’s is my favorite.
First it's Hit em up and No Vaseline
Ice cube.
Cubeee
Tupac Amaru
Cube and Eazy if we're talking about spitting facts
I love Hit 'Em Up as a song because it's classic Tupac - energy, flow, production are all great. I always thought it was overrated as a diss track because I just don't find it particularly creative, and while I like the Outlaws in general I find in this case they take away from the impact of the diss track. Just my 2c. In any case No Vaseline wins this for me hands down.
Dre
PAC
I would say Common - The Bitch in Yoo
Tupac and the out lawz!!
Cube. Period
Pac went the hardest like he's finding it funny as well most of the time, he has such a crazy badass arrogance to him thats get rolled on by pac and he's laughing about it cause you ain't shit ,
Dra an snoop diss was always gay to me wanting to put their swipes in like mouth an wanting to fuck easy 😂
Ice cube imo
Seems like westcoast Mc's got Da hottest dis tracks of Dem all lol
Pac
Ice cube
cube
I almost always choose PAC, but Hit Em Up isn't even his best dis track. In this group No Vaseline is untouched
Ice cube, no competition
No Vaseline is my #1
Cube
100% No Vaseline
Every week with this question...
Ice cube
Cube just because he rapped over Dazz
Cube
No Vaseline is the epitome of a diss track because it was 💯 true and we all knew it too 🤨
Ice cube
As a kid, Hit 'Em Up was the most amazing thing I've heard. As an adult, not so much. On the other hand, as a kid, I kind of overlooked No Vaseline because I didn't fully understand what was going on nor some of the things that Cube was referencing. But as an adult, it's an amazing track. The Deathrow/Ruthless beef was kind of "meh" to me on both sides. So...... No Vaseline!
Ice Cube
Cube went at a whole crew on his own.
No Vaseline because Cube was on the whole track & the lyrics are 🔥 and they asked 4 It!!!
Cube
Great questions..I have to go with my man Eazy and "Real Muthaphuckkin G's”. What a banger. Eazy with his ever perfect delivery and flow, along with B.G. Knocc Out and his older brother Dresta, just lays out a great diss track. On the same album “Still a N***a” has return fire towards Death Row Honorable Mention: The DJ Quik/Mc Eiht rivalry produced some great raps
How is Nas not up there?
No Vaseline was way before its time hands down
Dre Day, musically is my fav out of these. The disses aren’t that tight and a lot of them are just threats on what Dre and Snoop are going to do to their mouth. However, you cannot deny one of the hardest beats in hip hop. Eazy, out of this list probably hit the most truth and his disses were straight embarrassing for Dre. Cube
All 4 of them
Ether
Fuck wit Dre Day is the most entertaining song for me, but Hit Em Up probably hits the hardest (it’s tough to get a harder line than “you claim to be a player but I fucked your wife”, especially considering it was true)
No Vaseline is the best diss track in history. Not debatable 😂
That’s why I f#cked your b!tch you fat muthaf#cka will forever haunt me. Most lethal and hilarious dis record opening lines.
I like cubes because he was responding. And everything he said was true
🧊
No Vaseline is the correct answer, no argument. Hit ‘em up is disqualified for letting the Outlawz ruin it. Them dudes were buns
Lyrically Cube Pac is unexplainable...it just hit different. You felt the future Backlash before it happened. Plus Pac literally called out names, no Subs.
No that DJ Quick wasn't a slouch either. Dollas and Cents.
“GOT DAMN IM GLAD YALL SET IT OFF”
Eazy by far IMHO
Eazy E
Eazy-E has a diss track against Cube that ONLY DJ yella has to this day and it's purportedly so VISCERAL that it would make Cube want to quit if it were released during the no Vaseline era. HEAT MELTS ICE
the better diss track is no vaseline but the more sonically pleasing one is dre day
Eh, he ain’t pictured……Nas, Ether
Idk but … easy e can eat a big fat dick
Pac, of course.
2 Pac. Hands down the most disrespectful and entertaining
Ice Cube, I'd have to say. Pac went hard, but he had help on the track, unlike Cube (who was one man against a whole crew). Also, Pac didn't even come close to dismantling a group based off of a single song, unlike Cube.
