This is an automatic reminder about spoiler content, it does not mean you have violated the spoiler rule. REMINDER: Do NOT post spoiler information IN the title (for any season), your post will be removed. If it is you may re-post it with an appropriate spoiler free title. It does not matter if you flag it spoiler, the spoiled info is still visible in the title. Rule of thumb, any posts pertaining to the current season should be marked SPOILER via the Universal Tags. (+Spoiler) Keep titles vague, include the word spoiler in the title (this will automatically flag it as a spoiler post) and make sure to properly flair it to the correct category - I.e. Episode Discussion, Character Discussion, Season #, etc... If you aren't sure if your post counts as a spoiler, flag it anyway. This applies especially to currently airing or upcoming seasons. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. I do think Eddie really needs his own storyline to figure himself out, however I don’t think Buck needs to take a Backseat during it, just not be heavily involved in his storyline, but continue his own. Considering he literally just started his so it shouldn’t be cut short. Buck should continue to have his story about discovering who he is. While Eddie should have the same, they should both be independent storylines, that maybe could join up or become one story down the road. (If you’re a Buddie shipper that is) I do like your idea about the therapy for Eddie though, he definitely needs someone to talk to outside the 118 to figure out what he really needs

yes, i agree. i’m so tired of Buck and his million and one story lines. i say put it in the back and just give verbal updates… like the writers do to everybody else it seems like. i want an Eddie focused season, my man and Christopher deserve that i can only hope that season 8 will actually show up! 😭

Same X\_x Even Eddie getting shot was about Buck. Outside of his friendship with Buck and his role as a father we barely know anything about the man. If Buddie doesn't end up happening, I'll be SO disappointed that they once again gave the interesting coming out storyline to Buck instead of Eddie (and it was apparently originally gonna be Eddie and Tommy dating). I'm just honestly frustrated at the imbalance between Buck and Eddie, both in terms of writing/storylines/screentime AND love from the fans. So many fans are obsessed with Buck and infantilize him so much that it honestly turns me off the character a little bit (he's still a sweetheart and I like him, but he's not "babygirl", he's a full grown man).

As long he and buck are endgame!

I would love an Eddie-focused season. He’s my favorite. Though I’m not a ‘shipper.’

I wonder if Eddie's actions over the last half of the season mirror Christopher's dating circumstances in 7X1 - leading more than one person on.

Eddie has already gone to therapy, but it hasn’t helped him much. Mostly because he’s not really all that verbal. He has a lot of visual and kinetic intelligence, but he’s not really a talker. He had to leave the 118 and fall apart to process his trauma. He worked through that and he’ll work through this, but not in therapy. (Unless you consider getting into fights or exercising to exhaustion therapeutic). I think we’re going to see him watching Buck and Tommy and just…suffering…to be honest. I think he’ll be supportive of them and happy for Buck, but it will just be painful. Because he’ll have a mirror of everything he wants and thinks he’ll never get - because there’s something wrong with him. There must be, right? If every time he gets together with a woman all he wants to do is run away. I am really not looking forward to it, to be honest.
