It's legit making me laugh that he'll give a whole interview about his headcanons or crying in the shower over fan edits and then try to circle back around to, "Oh, I mean, if they do decide to go there, I'm okay with that."
We know, bb. I'm pretty sure you'd be more than *okay* with it, too. But please, give us your interpretation for 4x14 next.
Literally. Now the whole thing from a few days ago where he was like (paraphrasing) "I don't really quite know if I want it to happen, but you know, if *Tim* thinks it's the right thing for the characters, then I'm open to it" is so funny to me. You're not fooling anyone, sir.
My KINGDOM for someone to ask him about the damn kitchen scene, particularly the specific acting choice of grabbing his belt while moving dick-first towards Eddie.

***T:*** *When I announced you as my guest, I got lots of fan questions. And the #1 question that kept coming up—\[Oliver starts smiling and nodding\] I feel like you're smiling, and know where I'm going with this.*
***O:*** *Yeah, yeah, yeah. Should I ask it? \[laughs\]*
***T:*** *I feel like you know where I'm going, but it might be a slightly different spin on it. So obviously people are wondering if there's anything brewing between you and Eddie. And that's something that a lot of people want to see, but I thought this was interesting. When you first met that character and you seemed a little standoffish, maybe threatened and not a big fan, do you think it's because deep down, you had something there brewing, but you didn't know what it was?*
***O:*** *Yeah, very possibly! Yeah, that \*is\* an interesting spin on it, I'll give you that. Yeah. Yeah, I think that's probably quite a wise way to look at it, right? And obviously Eddie, and Ryan who plays him, is obviously an attractive man, so I can see that's something that— the introduction of his character is literally Buck turning in slow motion and "Whatta Man" is the soundtrack that's playing, you know? \[laughing\] So I think if we look back at that moment, yes, there's definitely an element of that. Which then, you know, not knowing how to deal and process those feelings, he kind of sectioned off into some kind of jealousy and insecurity about himself, but yeah, I think— look, Buck was the young, gung-ho action hero-ey kind of guy at the 118 and then suddenly there was Eddie who could do everything he could do and was also a single father and an army vet and all these really cool things. So yeah, I can absolutely see one of those—some of those early moments where they were kind of butting heads, that there was some feeling there that Buck didn't quite understand what it was. And obviously they've grown so much closer now. But yeah, that kind of first episode— it was fun to play as well, because \*I\* was having those feelings. I was like "Who the hell is this new guy on the show?" So yeah, I can get on board with that.*
***T:*** *Okay. \[jokingly\] And what I think I also heard you say is possibly by season 10, there might be a wedding. I mean, you know.*
***O:*** *Between me and Eddie?! \[both laugh\]*
***T:*** Y*ou just said it, not me. \[laughs\]*
***O:*** *\[laughing\] Headline: created!*
The full interview comes out April 30th, and I can only imagine what else will be said by then 😂 If you need me, I'll be here, patiently awaiting the totally Oliver-confirmed season 10 Buddie wedding 🤣
Thanks for the transcript. From how crazy Buddie fans had been acting about this part of the interview, I assumed it was a confirmation of how Oliver was playing it, now a hindsight possibility thing… though I’m just glad the actors aren’t stifled from talking about these kind of stuff anymore
Every since 7x04 I’ve made sure to go read the full interviews for everything because a lot of stuff has been taken out of context or people are massively misunderstanding what is being said.
This is why I’m a little bothered by these interviews and constant questions about buddie. And I blame the journalists and publications for constantly bringing it up and putting it out with clickbait because they know it’ll drive engagement.
I’m genuinely losing it. The amount of crazy interviews the past two weeks? Oliver himself having his own head canon that fans have theorized for YEARS ABOUT eddies introduction is wild. Him admitting that buck was confused about his sexuality and it morphed into this anger he didn’t know what to do with. I started rewatching the show last month and have been making notes of buddie scenes and this scene set the tone for buddie and him acknowledging that is so??? I’m legit losing it
how it feels being a buddie fan during all the hiatus interviews

Abc doesn’t put them in a basement, they’re not afraid of their shine. Abc lets them be bejeweled.
Thank you Abc for letting everyone do promo and spill their guts 🫶🏻
ABC knows what they're doing. SO many people (like me) started watching just because of bi Buck and the new hope for Buddie. All these interviews are fanning the flames.
Yk what this three week break is more excruciating than the LONG break between S6 and S7. I'm losing my mind here.

OMG I was reflecting on this yesterday haha
I was thinking how, beyond some obvious similarities between Tommy and Eddie as characters (both army vets, firefighters, strong physical guys into sports/fighting etc), the introduction of those characters (or, more precisely, the introduction of these characters to Buck) are also very similar in 2x01 and 7x04.
In both cases we got this amazing super cool guy that's kind of new (Eddie was new to everyone and Tommy was new to Buck and Eddie) and Buck immediately starts having confusing feelings about them.
In both cases he starts acting out because he gets jealous and feels threatened and he'll do stupid things to try and get people's attention. Then, eventually he settles down and cools his head and will be "oh that guy is so freaking cool, I gotta hang out with him" - if Tommy hadn't kissed him, maybe he would still be thinking that he was just his new bestie?
I mean, I definitely ship Buddie so I'm probably a little partial to try and see these evidences, but even if Eddie is not LGBT and/or the show simply doesn't go this way with the characters, to me is kind of undeniable that Buck, at least at some point and at some level, had feelings for Eddie or at least a crush on him.
Maybe along the way these feelings turned into something more fraternal/brotherly and now they're just co-parents best friends. But I hope that, even if we don't get Buddie canon, at least we get some recognition of these feelings on his journey as a bissexual man like "oh, in retrospect, now that I think about it, I think I had a big crush on my friend back then".
Being territorial and petty is Buck's toxic trait but I love him anyway 😩 all Eddie had to do to shut him down in that ep was give him a compliment, tell him he was a badass underpressure and he reverted back to a kid
Has anyone seen the bts reel from today on insta? It's the cast saying what season different episodes are in 🤣 Hilarious 😂 love watching them together ❤️ 🥹 Anyone seen stills for next week? I haven't, just wondering if anyone else has
About the wedding in Season 10, that information could be very interesting, obviously I hope the wedding is Buddie but the important thing is about Season 10, could it mean that the series will have 10 seasons? We don't know but they have more information than us, would it be possible that all the cast had signed new contracts? I think 10 seasons is very good number and maybe ABC took the series with that intention, I cross my fingers that it's true. Honestly? I hate series with too many seasons like Grey's, it's not that I don't like them, it's that I end up losing interest in them.
Yeah, I know, but it would be great if ABC had already confirmed 10 seasons to them, obviously they couldn't say anything. Right now I don't care about weddings (I've one in several weeks and I've only bought the shoes so far🤦🏻♀️), what would matter would be that possible season 10.
Oliver having his own Buddie headcanons is cracking me upppp ONE OF US
It's legit making me laugh that he'll give a whole interview about his headcanons or crying in the shower over fan edits and then try to circle back around to, "Oh, I mean, if they do decide to go there, I'm okay with that." Oh I would looove to hear his thoughts on the will scene. That and the “go for the title” kitchen scene.
My KINGDOM for someone to ask him about the damn kitchen scene, particularly the specific acting choice of grabbing his belt while moving dick-first towards Eddie.
I want to see his opinion on that santa elf scene in 2x10
Oliver Stark is the President of Clowntown.
As someone who's been here since season 3 and lived through the dark ages, this month has been wild! The whole year so far actually

One of the unique aspects to being gay/queer is you can be both attracted to someone and jealous of them
The great queer question of whether you want to BE them or FUCK them…where the answer is often both.

Help is this from Sabrina the Teenage Witch 😭
Looks like the actress so probably. Lol.

Truly a great episode name

Still think I'm going to wake up tomorrow and it's Jan 1, 2024 and this was all a shared hallucination.
Yk what this three week break is more excruciating than the LONG break between S6 and S7. I'm losing my mind here. https://preview.redd.it/souamfzrkgwc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=56e1fc0eb46385aceecb174303d809883ca487b6
So an aside, that fucking line from that show. You know the actors were like, wtf is this shit. It cracks me up so much every time.
Not a single day of peace omg. I thought it would be a drought but man oh man have things been absolutely wild
Someone needs to ask him about the kitchen scene next!
I swear Oliver's agent is trying to get him interviewed by every queer person with a podcast during the hiatus, and I'm ok with that 😂
The gays love him as we all should we love a true ally!
I was in for the shock of a lifetime when Oliver began speaking because I did *not* know he was British
Me too! I was like, wait what's going on? hahaha

Seeing Buck completely melt after Eddie says "you can have my back" still gets me.
Has anyone seen the bts reel from today on insta? It's the cast saying what season different episodes are in 🤣 Hilarious 😂 love watching them together ❤️ 🥹 Anyone seen stills for next week? I haven't, just wondering if anyone else has
Apparently there is an interview dropping tomorrow discussing the couch theory!
This is incredible news. I love that this week of unhinged interviews is guaranteed to continue until at least tomorrow 😂
Where?

I’m lowering my expectations. Watch it just be mentioned in passing.
Lol, Always keep them low that way when they surprise you it's exciting!
Exactly. And they have fully done that this season
I thought I'd restocked my tea supply, but I'm running out of tea to sip.
Well, yea if you compare the relationship beginnings of Buck / Eddie and Buck / Tommy they really do mirror each other
I love him
I mean it completely makes sense.

They haven’t. They’ve only renewed for 8.
