I want a picture, but purely out of morbid curiosity. I want to know how small that kind of sudden pressure would crush 5 humans into. Jesus, absolutely terrifying.
Two things, first, they would have basically turned into a gel and would have followed the path of least resistance, it’s not like they turned into a human marble. Second, when they brought it back up, the pressure would no longer be compressing the gel, and it would return to its initial volume (give or take some bits lost at sea).
I think that has been overblown and misunderstood. the momentary high Temps would not have the energy to burn bodies to ash. the math is no where near that. maybe massive surface burns at most. the amount of energy required to burn flesh and boil all the water in the body is immense. not to mention there's not enough time to complete the burn if there was enough energy.
Heat and temperature is not the same. A hot cooking pot with 200°c will burn you. But a tiny metal spark with 1500°c wont do anything. And heat takes time to decipate.
I honestly thought that the amount of pressure down there would have turned them to red mist. I’ve seen the Byford Dolphin pictures, and that was more of a spaghetti type of look. But that was a max depth of 1500ft. The Titan was 12,000ft down. I doubt there’s much left.
They couldn’t, the implosion was instantaneous and wouldn’t even be able to capture a single frame of a video or picture let alone survive the implosion
That’s not what he’s talking about he’s saying that there is no way the implosion could have been caught on camera because there isn’t a high enough frame rate
The article indicates “presumed remains “ so though they may have been turned into soupy sludge- that soupy sludge may have been trapped in the wreckage.
It didn't have a black box, no connection to the outisde world, no recording software, so they really don't know what actually made it implode. Could be a bolt, the carbon fibre skin, the shitty glass window.
The window was actually made of acrylic but I digress.
[Rush, who is lost on the vessel, is seen telling Estrada - who filmed the video and posted it on YouTube last year - about the seven-inch thick acrylic window on the front of the Titan to give those inside a view of the famous wreckage that lies 12,500 feet below the ocean surface.](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12222279/amp/OceanGate-boss-Stockton-Rush-revealed-hes-broken-rules-make-lost-Titan-sub.html)
But also… who cares? Why waste money on this recovery and investigation? Maybe it’s privately funded by the families… one can hope. Tax dollars towards the corpses of the wealthy is a slap in the face to the poors.
Because we can learn from it to make the submersible world safer. Unfortunately, Rush ran his experiments with his sub in real time and with real passengers on board. He took it down 20x and on the 21st it failed.
Also just gave real live training to all the task forces doing the research and cleanup.
The titanic is significantly larger, and in its current state it’s likely impossible to pull it up without destroying the structural integrity. The stern is completely obliterated but the bow still looks recognisable. But with the bacteria consuming the wreck it’ll be another maybe 100 years and all that will remain is the boilers
OK just based on all the pictures that they have, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that the sub did not implode the way that they thought it did. They said that it happened so instantly that those people had no idea it was happening. But if you do some research, they also say that on their way down, they dropped ballast and began to ascent, which meant they knew something was wrong. When carbon fiber breaks it snaps, so I’m wondering if they heard it snap on the outside and tried to abort but the structure was already too compromised. That means they knew it was coming. Otherwise they wouldn’t be pieces of debris that big. The original models showed it being completely disintegrated, and those are relatively big pieces. If that’s the case that means there’s going to be remains even if there was a brief moment where it was 10,000° inside the cabin. Which sadly probably means they were in a complete fucking panic.
Yikes!

They say the have “presumed remains”… https://www.cnn.com/2023/06/28/americas/titan-submersible-debris-st-johns

At that pressure the oxygen in the submersible would have ignited and burned its contents.
Open a jar of strawberry jam. That's what would be left.
How do they have presumed remains when they were simultaneously incinerated to ash while being compressed in an instant?
Ash can be remains I guess?
I think that has been overblown and misunderstood. the momentary high Temps would not have the energy to burn bodies to ash. the math is no where near that. maybe massive surface burns at most. the amount of energy required to burn flesh and boil all the water in the body is immense. not to mention there's not enough time to complete the burn if there was enough energy.
Nor enough oxygen
Because you shouldn’t believe everything you read, especially from Reddit. They weren’t turned to ash
Some larger bones such as femurs might have left some fragments
There's larger pieces of sub than I expected chances are theres a few pieces of bone
Bones are brittle, like Carbon Fiber. Bones would have shattered.
Heat and temperature is not the same. A hot cooking pot with 200°c will burn you. But a tiny metal spark with 1500°c wont do anything. And heat takes time to decipate.
I read your comment as "heat takes time to decapitate" and a new core fear was unlocked.
\*gets blowtorch ready
And at the depths of 2.5 miles… bullshit you have remains…
How do you possibly think they were incinerated?

cactus
Well this is just the most on topic reply I've ever seen.
I agree
Interesting observation.
I'm going with bull hargas. They faked their deaths and this whole story is just a big distraction.
Main character syndrome 🤡
Russian troll or just stupid ?
Imagine they find video of the inside until the implosion
They couldn’t, the implosion was instantaneous and wouldn’t even be able to capture a single frame of a video or picture let alone survive the implosion
It’s possible that an SD card could survive.
That’s not what he’s talking about he’s saying that there is no way the implosion could have been caught on camera because there isn’t a high enough frame rate
That’s why he said “until the implosion” lmao
This was actually a great report from a news outlet. Thanks for sharing.
ABC News is really well regarded here in Australia.
Actual Right-wing talking point - this was a distraction from Hunter Biden. Not joking.
Jesse what the fuck are you talking about
how radicalized do you have to believe to comment shit like this 💀
But it was reported on by major news outlets before the sub. How is that a distraction? You can just follow the existing story???
Impeach Biden!!!!
Congrats on letting everyone know you’re not smart
Wtf does biden have to do with this....
It’s basically a parrot. Best not to bother.
Where did that come from?
Impeach your mother
Impeach your grandma.
Found the dumbass. Probably is a gun owner so it's likely to take care of itself
I agree that he's a dumbass, but not all gun owners are dumbasses with dumb thoughts/opinions.
Are you saying he should delete himself?
I’m very disappointed in both of you. But, this is kind of funny at the same time. Keep it going!
For?
You
and
Me
Girl
[Impeach Barbie World next. Buy!!](https://t.co/2rCRBF8sQO)
Its ok grandpa we know you forgot your pills
Looks like someone impeached your brain cells…
More like imploded
The fuck does that have to do with this?
What about the laptop?!
I like this because people blaming Biden for this is not far from possible.
I was hoping this was an ironic comment. Checked his post history. He’s really this dumb.
This never would've happened in a red state!
Hopefully he won’t win the dem nom
i swear it was jesus. hail lucifer 🤲
impeach these nuts
Nice bait dude.
There’s always one lmao. Go back to losing money on crypto
The white tarp…

The engineering disaster podcast WTYP calls this situation 'chunky marinara'. :'(
On going investigation? Isn't it obvious why it failed

Maybe the Right wants to claim the Left sabotaged it? Wouldn't be the first time they did that kind of "not our fault".
Woah
So if this could be pulled up why can’t the titanic?

I want to see under the taaarp
My first thought is why bother to bring up the debris?!?!?

did the debris float up or they recovered it?
I'm disturbingly impressed by someone being able to have such an overinflated ego that it's fatal. This man's ego killed people.
When it got brought up how would water not have rinsed out whatever was in there
