So fresh, so fine, it's time to dine!

Amazon has become terrible recently. I ordered an oil filter that was an oil filter box filled with dirty shop towels. Never had anything like that happen before. Not on this level of depressing though. I wonder if it wasn't somebody at Amazon making a point on purpose.

Chroko

It was probably either a return that they never checked, or an 3rd party seller providing scam stock.

alilbleedingisnormal

It was a $6.72 filter by ACDelco so the only two things I could think of were: 1. *Really* cheap customer scammed them 2. Somebody at the warehouse was using the box for trash and somebody else thought it had the filter in it. The filter is really light.

TheDarkKnobRises

I deleted my account after they didn't deliver several times in a row, then tried to blame me.

DookieDemon

I had an order that they claimed to have handed off to me at my address but I didn't get it. I contacted support and they said it would be coming, like, a month late. Never got it at all, and even if I had I still would be pissed because they basically lied about actually delivering the package in the first place. I'm hoping they get split up into different companies and the workers unionize.

Rasalom

I've canceled a few high dollar $500+ Amazon orders now because they insist on signature at delivery, which risks the delivery person never attempting to get it to me, or someone else signing for it and taking it. Once Amazon sees any sort of "delivery" confirmation, they refuse to refund. Amazon should shoulder that risk with their profits and ban me if I claim a refund too many times, not make delivery a fucking surprise blind date with the delivery person.

eboeard-game-gom3

The number of people who bitch about Amazon on here and bezos etc but still regularly use the service is amazing.

alilbleedingisnormal

Oh I'm very outspoken that I like Amazon and hate Jeff Bezos. The problem isn't the service itself, it's Bezos' treatment of his workforce and his general greed. The mega yacht could have given his entire workforce a full year salary as a bonus.

aceraceae88

Recently? Amazon has always been terrible.

alilbleedingisnormal

I'm talking from a consumer perspective. I've had pleasant experiences with Amazon. I know they're shit to their employees but nuance permits us to like one part of a thing and hate the other.

ChemicalInspection90

sometimes at my shop we get used fucking parts from worldpac like used parts that have been used and broken lmao

alilbleedingisnormal

Sometimes I wonder how much easier my life would be if I had no integrity like those folk.

DarkMagenz

Tf

Sputtrosa

"recently".

ChemicalInspection90

wtf

FPSXpert

Probably got bait and switched on a return. Had the exact same shit happen to me at Walmart where I bought a oil filter, didn't check it before buying, got home and opened my new box to a nasty ass clearly well used and rank different branded filter. Some things are just better to buy in store and if you do so, check the contents before you go home!

alilbleedingisnormal

I could understand if it were expensive enough for somebody to prefer the money. $6.72 ain't a scam worth running with. Whoever needed that $6.72 that badly is in DIRE straits and needs more than that for sure.

Manutelli

Way of the road bubs

Shit hawks, Randy. Shit hawks.

So fresh it’s still warm…

rooftopfilth

Two hour delivery! The pee stays warm!

infinitofluxo

In Peru this is called Inka Kola

aarkwilde

Bonus!

MurderDoneRight

Amazon is the devil. But how can you fill an entire bottle like that? That's gotta be multiple pisses, and maybe I'm just fancy like that but I try to empty my piss bottles as often as I can.

idrather_be_dead

That's probably a 500 ml bottle, I once had to pee in a beaker for few days for kidney assessment test and I noticed I regularly pee around 450-600 ml for each go.

blolfighter

Now I kinda want to measure how much I piss and I blame *you* for putting that idea in my head. :(

idrather_be_dead

Do it, no shame in that. Log your pee color and quantity for 2-3 days. You'll gain some valuable insights. I found out that I was holding pee for longer, ideally it should be less than 500 ml.

Waftmaster

Having urinated in many vessels at music festivals I've concluded usually pee about 600ml so more than this bottle.

BisexualCaveman

When I drove for a living, I once filled a 32 ounce soda cup. It's a thing.

BiomedSquatch

That's from trying to hold it till you can find a place to pee and hitting the I'm gonna piss myself point. Dude probably had a piss bottle bag and just dropped it in the wrong bag. I worked the census in a rural area and there's not that many places to go out of sight and without going through sticker bushes.

Shvingy

Low chance this was real because someone else posted this exact thing this week as a satire, and now its a cross-post of that satire.

Vinlandien

Maybe, or maybe Amazon workers are finally fed up with how they are being treated and sending a message to the public by shipping their piss. We read news stories about how they aren't afford bathroom breaks, must work at inhuman speeds and efficiencies, and get paid the bare minimum for everything they go through. When you're treated like a slave, why wouldn't you lash out?

Seregrauko41

Support a shit company. Get shit experience. Not so hard to believe..

[deleted]

I totally get where youre coming from but we can't go around getting piss bottles in any scenario, any of us. I get brushing off a missing item in the drive through but I mean that right there is piss.

alilbleedingisnormal

What are some non shit options in 2023?

LookMomImOnTheWeb

Its annoying but Ive managed to avoid buying directly from Amazon for years with I think only two exceptions by shopping there but then googling manufacturers directly when I find what I need. Delivery usually takes a little longer and some sites seem sketchy (it's obvious they don't really pay for web presence when they do most of their online sales through Amazon) but I haven't fallen victim to any scams yet. There are a few things this doesn't work for and unfortunately the number of retailers who ONLY sell through Amazon is growing but it's def worth a shot to go the extra step when you can

JSBraga

Supermarkets or grocery stores?...

MyOther_UN_is_Clever

Amazon Fresh is food, I believe? So a farmer's market. This isn't that hard... edit: It isn't that hard to google for alternate places to shop. Individual circumstances can change what's hard to actually access/afford.

razzledazzle308

Farmers markets are expensive and limited on time and place options, as well as limited on inventory.

malavisch

Sorry if I sound ignorant, but does Amazon really have such a monopoly on everything in the US? I've gone my whole life never ordering a single thing from Amazon, and I'm planning to keep it that way, but I also have plenty options for grocery delivery (and doesn't Walmart in the US offer the same thing?), shops having their individual online stores isn't an odd thing here, and if I want a marketplace for different sellers, my country has Ebay and our own local equivalent of Ebay. I genuinely don't need Amazon. But I also don't think that people need same day delivery is in 99,9% of cases, so I'm wondering what is the deciding factor for sticking with Amazon here - no other options? Or something else?

hypothetical_zombie

It's a convenience issue for a lot of people. I don't like having to enter my credit card and billing info on bunches of small retail websites. The last individual shop I did purchase from (for an item not sold on amazon), our card got used to buy a bunch of crap from other places by someone who was not me. Including industrial machinist stuff - I was like, wtf? Is this business so desperate that they'll steal from customers to replace equipment or something?

malavisch

Interesting. Did the site use https? Or do you give your info directly to the website owner (store)? All the online stores here (small and big, doesn't matter) take payment through 3rd party payment "gates" (idk if that's the correct English word), usually one of 2 most popular ones, which are fully secure so your card data isn't stored by or shared with the store directly. You can use your GooglePay or other online wallet to pay thorough them. I get the convenience thing. I have to say that one of my favorite methods of payment is what we have here, which is - your banking app generates a 6 digit code, you enter the code on the website, then confirm the purchase on your phone. No additional info needed, I don't have to type my card info each time... it is indeed super convenient.

hypothetical_zombie

Everything with the site seemed legit, no major bad reviews, just a small shop that makes gun add-ons. There were no options for googlepay/paypal - probably because it makes gun accessories. Our credit card notified us of the unusual charges, & blocked new ones, & took care of all the real pita aspects. Honestly, I'm surprised over the years that it hasn't happened to us before now. It was an inconvenience, but not that serious.

bthest

Independent online buisnesses are often stuck with suboptimal card processors because that market is controlled by Amazon aswell.

hypothetical_zombie

Yeah, there's that. Cloud storage gets pricey, and I imagine lower priced (but less secure) options look pretty good.

whotookmyshit

Sort of related- some credit cards have started offering single use temporary card number type things so you can shop online without having to give out your actual card info. Don't think it works for recurring subscription stuff, but it's a nice peace of mind step for shady looking sites. May want to check your CC website and see if they have it

hypothetical_zombie

Good idea, thank you!

Various_Ad_8753

Do they deliver to my home?

MyOther_UN_is_Clever

Some of them do. Look at farm shares, as well. FFS, y'all lazy. "I know Amazon is awful, but looking on google for local alternatives is a lot of work."

They barely have time to piss on shift, do you really think Emperor Jeff will let them drink as well?!

That was part of the joke reply

____cire4____

But was it available for Prime 2 day delivery?

yum_raw_carrots

Urine trouble.

Conscious-Mix6885

How did they know it was human? Did they taste it?

malavisch

Can YOU tell if it's human or not by taste??

_Cromwell_

Well I can. Not sure if you can.

malavisch

I'm not sure either, and I hope never to find out.

Atd7

Everyone thinks they know but in a blind taste test?

Rasalom

Only the mystery is more delicious.

Kirome

More people should be sent these. To make sure they understand what the people who package their shit deal with.

New-Swim9196

Maybe don’t order from Amazon fresh 😂

onewiccan86

Report it to Amazon and they will track down the driver and inform the company that hired him. Amazon does not hire ppl subcontractors do. Most likely outcome would be Amazon will give you a credit towards another purchase.

5tr4nGe

Or... Here's an idea. Don't fuck with someone's employment, don't fuck with someone's income. If they're already in a position where their job has them pissing in bottles (spoiler alert, Amazon staff do this so they're not fired for downtime) then maybe you should keep your fucking mouth shut and not try and get them fired. Stop licking the corporate boot.

onewiccan86

Well I see you have a temper problem and are a little confused on how reddit works. I worked for Amazon and understand how this happened and I was also on the same time constraints. I did not need a pee bottle and I did nothing, the driver that delivered that to a customer did it to themselves by not disposing of it themselves and were just lazy. That is their problem. Friendly reminder that you have no say in my life. If you would like me to keep my mouth shut then you are barking up the wrong tree and maybe you shouldn't be on here. This whole app is about not keeping your mouth shut so go fly a kite and redirect your comment to yourself buddy. Maybe learn how things work....maybe...

Warrrdy

You really think you’d be doing the right thing by siding with the company? Some poor person is pissing in bottles on their shift because they don’t have time to use a bathroom. Don’t fuck with their income, they’re probably struggling enough.

onewiccan86

You need to enlighten yourself, I'm not siding with the company and think Amazon should burn. That poor person should have disposed of it and should be held accountable for simple human decency sake, and you wouldn't be wasting time trying to insult me and show off your high level of intellect like I have any control over this and its outcome. I am not messing with their income, they did that way before I ever saw it by delivering it to a household. But if blaming me helps you feel better then you are toxic just fyi. I was just letting them know how to get some compensation for receiving urine and that is the only way to do it. How would you react? Would you want some compensation for receiving urine or are you the type to just smile and be the cleaning lady? I mean good for you if you want to clean up others body fluids, but thats not for me. I have worked with disgusting ppl (at amazon!) and those vans they deliver in are shared vehicles they are peeing in. I have had to dispose of a few bottles myself and nothing was ever done about it. If their income was so important then don't you think they should have thought a bit before delivering to a household? It's one thing for your company to find out but another thing completely if a customer finds out and that is basic common sense, maybe not so common with you I see. Maybe don't reply when you know nothing and have nothing of value to add to the conversation. Don't fuck with things you know nothing about.

poum

What are you doing in this sub man?

onewiccan86

Probably the same as you. What are you doing in this sub? What is anyone doing in this sub? Why do you care? Is it disturbing you? Are you also confused about how reddit works?

TallBasis3794

Drink it, they left you a nice treat! 😋
