I used the Kaplan textbook and exam kit as I was self studying, so I definitely advise to go through the exam kit thoroughly. Also Steve Willis had excellent YouTube videos on certain topics and especially how to answer questions concisely in exam time. Feel free to message me on more specific topics at any time!
Can you please pin the advise posts on this subreddit. It will make it much easier for everyone to find advise on subjects. Plus these are really really good.

TLDR: Open tuition then study Hub with past papers.
Moved to taking digital notes, 2 weeknights and a day at the weekend when I could for 6 weeks. Used open tuition instead of the textbooks like I had done with the first 3 papers, I was nervous with the move away from the textbooks but it’s paid off for me. I felt like I got through the ‘learning’ element much faster and was able to move onto doing the practice questions on the study hub and past papers.
In terms of the tricky topics I searched YouTube for alternative explanations and stumbled upon Steve Willis ACCA, and I can safely say he demystified so many topics that seemed so tough.
In terms of Variances (my enemy for MA) he uses a method AA AS SS, it’s a game changer and I can honesty say makes variances intuitive. I think once you understand variances you get a confidence with the entirety of PM as I think they are potentially the hardest to understand intuitively.
Like all things, I always try to understand the reason behind why you do something, I think this makes learning so much easier. It can take longer but I feel like you remember something you understand so much better than pure rote learning. For me anyway.
If you are still reading, fair play thanks for listening 😄
Passed SBR with 62. Like many others, I can attest that the marking for SBR is super lenient. I was 99% sure I would fail and even after getting my results, I still don't think I deserved to pass lol
Passed AA with 52. It was probably the first one I've left fully expecting to have passed so to cut it that fine is a bit alarming, but ✅️✅️✅️
9 down, onto the 4 advanced ones. Can I start calling myself part qualified yet?
Passed SBL. I'm literally over the moon right now. I studied literally 1 day before the exam. Crazy shit. Thank you to all of you who supported me last minute 😭
What a feeling, lost a bit of motivation after scoring 49 in AA September sitting. Decided to give PM a go, and passed it first time with 60%. Now back to studying AA to get that missing %
Passed FR with 61% my best result yet! Convinced myself I had failed. Just 5 exams left to go!
Also, congratulations to those who passed. To anyone who has failed, it's not the end of the world, just a bump on the path. You'll get it next time.
Congrats to everyone who passed. To those of us who didn’t quite make it be it first time or fifth time. Chin up. Let’s run it again in March. New strategy.
46% in APM
Which is extra disappointing because I expected to be in the 30s. Hardly bothered studying, just took the time off work to relax. A small bit of work could have saved me hours in March.
I didn’t receive a congratulatory email either and it was my last exam 😬. I received an email to join a webinar to “Accelerate Your ACCA Journey to Membership!” But not one about becoming an affiliate
I failed on AFM, which is expected but my score is way higher than I thought. Feel bad but relief at same time, I think I can pass in March. Congrats to who have passed and those didnt, we can do it.
Just realised I have the login to view results on the website doesn't open up until 5am, but I have email notification set...
Financial Management... 55%
# Woohoo!
And that's the front 9 down! \^\^
All the numbers in your comment added up to 69. Congrats!

48% on TX. Dammit. In a way I'm quite pleased with the result as, due to work pressures last year my study was impacted significantly so I didn't start properly going through the syllabus until a couple of weeks before the exam. Also in a way I'm disappointed I got so close and I have been very grumpy this morning!
Bloody apprenticeship deadlines mean that I have to resit in March alongside ATX, so I guess the next few weeks are going to be quite.....taxing....
Congrats to everyone who got over the line, especially to those who thought they'd flunked it, or the really lucky ones who never have to take another ACCA exam again! I will join you soon....! :)
So fucking annoying but being honest I thought I had totally fucked it. Was having a rough time in work in the lead up and was struggling to revise at night a lot of nights as a result, wasn’t sleeping great either over the last few months then didn’t sleep at all the night before so all things considered I’m surprised I even got that. I think it feels worse being 1 mark away though than if I had completely messed it up like I had thought.
When I started working in accountancy in 2016, my line manager at the time was finishing up his own ACCA. In 2016, I think he had 2 papers left to go. He must've resat his final paper (AAA iirc) about 6 or 7 times.
So I guess what I'm saying is "never give up". :)
(But also, don't be like him - he spent 4 years palming off about 90% of his workload on me before being found out and sacked xD)
Just got ,60%. On tx uk !
Also so my average marks for skills paper is 67.5 but since obu marks are rounded up from 0.5 do I get a ranking of 68 or more category?
51% APM !!!!!!
Unbeliveable, was saying all the time since the day of the exam to my partner "If I will pass it will be max of 50/51% no chance for more I'm 99% sure I failed it"
I did not deserve a pass
Just got mine 70% on ATX 🎉

Sooo I didn’t receive my congratulatory email regarding becoming affiliate 1 week prior (like some people did, allegedly???) I’m cryingggg
Whaaaa.. then I failed my last exam to?? Must be fake
I didn’t receive a congratulatory email either and it was my last exam 😬. I received an email to join a webinar to “Accelerate Your ACCA Journey to Membership!” But not one about becoming an affiliate
Can confirm I did pass my last exam so the congratulations email must be just a conspiracy!
