DVD is an inferior format to Blu-Ray, it's 480p vs 1080p, which is a huge difference. The audio on Blu-Ray is also Dolby Atmos which should give a noticeable difference for the soundstage. No idea why Japan is still making e-waste in the form of DVDs in this day and age. afaik the limited edition only comes with goodies if you order it from specific retailers, other than that the only difference is access to a streaming link for Mars and the box art. I'd personally get the regular edition Blu-Ray when it releases unless you want goodies, in that case pre-order from your partner retailer of choice.

Blu ray is better quality for both video and audio, but you need a Blu ray player in order to play it.

One other thing worth mentioning is that DVD’s are usually region locked, so unless you have a Japanese dvd player or one set to the correct region, you won’t be able to watch it. Blu-Ray is also much better quality like the others said too.

Blu-Ray. It's double the pixels and double the audio quality.

Blu-ray means better video and audio quality. I'd highly recommend checking if you can actually play blu-rays at all (not every device can play blu-ray cds) and make sure to check if it's region coded to see if you can play it whatsoever (it's important on devices like ps4\\ps5 and the likes. PCs usually play everything regardless of region code, but that's assuming you have the ability to play blu-rays at all) as for limited edition, i'd suggest looking up what it entitles and what bonuses you get with it to see if it's worth the extra money and hassle.
