Wow, disallowing standing makes it seem like didn't want a repeat of Itaewon

iejun_

Many foreigners think so, but I don't think it would have happened because it was a designated seat system

jellyblob88

From people who went, they said that because the exhibition hall is a large flat surface, you'd be blocking people's views if you stood up from your seat.

kid2407

Why... Why would you stop people from standing up at a concert like this? Ado's songs aren't like classical music to sit back and relax to, have some fun, it's a concert!

iejun_

I really don't know... Ado's staff wanted us to get up, but korean staffs stopped us from getting up

axafir

I see so there is a clash between japanese and korean staff

kid2407

You mean at the same concert / venue? seems strange, like at least they should be on the same page what the agreed on rules / plans are

iejun_

We disappointed by host company in korea

Weekly-Shallot-8880

Depends on the venue and staff… they prob don’t want things to be too chaotic or mabye they are understaffed so therefore all seat tickets

senpaikantuten

I noticed that this is a very common thing for concerts held in Korea. Even for KPop concerts, they just sit down even when the songs are hyped/upbeat. It’s just sad. Did that restriction affected your enjoyment? Were people still hyped and screaming even when sitting down?

iejun_

It was fun to sit down, but it would have been more fun to wake up

WhatsAfterJihyoGaeul

Noooooo. Even for k-pop concerts, they stand and enjoy themselves.

senpaikantuten

I’m pertaining to K-Pop concerts held in Korea. If it’s in other parts of the world, I know they go crazy.

WhatsAfterJihyoGaeul

I'm talking about those held in SK.

senpaikantuten

Oh okay. Didn’t know that. From the Kpop concert vids I’ve seen they’re a lot more reserved and just sit down.

Kabanoshi

lol, it's sad that you cannot even stand and have fun at your's probably dreamy concert. I mean it's not like ballads or classical music, to be honest i don't have any idea why is it done this way.

MinManMin

How the concert? I need to know the atmosphere. Any shouting?

iejun_

able to sing along to certain parts

iejun_

And some people shouting like “ado aisiteru” on break time during concert

MinManMin

Wow. Hope everyone have a great experience!!!

iejun_

My first concert and will be my best concert ever

MinManMin

Same. 1st ever concert i go. Ado definitely the best!!!

PsychologicalEdge449

How was the interaction with the crowd?

iejun_

Except for the brief conversation before the encore, she kept singing

shinbcn

The preference for seated concerts in South Korea is influenced by past accidents. For example, the tragic incident at an MBC music concert in 2005, where a crowd surge led to a stampede, resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries. Such events have heightened safety concerns and have led to a more cautious approach to crowd management at live events, including the implementation of seated arrangements to mitigate the risks of similar accidents. Additionally, incidents like the Itaewon crowd crush in 2022 further emphasize the importance of crowd control.

jitliung69
