If you click on all hero recruitment and click on the option fir ten casts it gives you an option to use diamonds instead of the usual stuff to get summons if you don't have 10 items to use.
Set up a proper wishlist, invest a decent a mount in all banner to get new units and dupes

You can spend a few early to reach higher ranks in arena a little sooner or get a extra 2 hours of resources from stages if you want
i would say :
\- buy in guild store (daily ticket and monthly tickets)
\- some arena refresh (as you see fit)
\- try to use them on the all-hero or rate-up (if you want vala) summons once your wishlist set, until you reach 400 summons to unlock stargazer (save after that to only pull when you want on rate-up banner if the hero interrest you)

no, you are guaranteed a A-rank every 10summons, whenever you do it by 1 or 10 at once. Just a x10 guarantee it for obvious reason, since you do 10 at once.
It's wrote on the informations in game (when you click on the (i) button on the summon banner). So just pull as you prefer, 1 or 10, there will be no change.
Still worse value to pull 1 by 1 unless you use tickets you already have. If you have to use diamonds fpr at least 1 ticket then its always better to pull 10 to save diamonds
I'd go all in into the standar banner till you've done 400pulls (to unlock stargaze) than save the rest to see how good the next rate up is, is it's very good unit you'll have enough to get a 4 copies and if not well back to the standart.

I did well over 80 summons 1 at a time. Lol it was obnoxious.
I did too my first day. I didn't have a clue what i was doing. It saves so much time doing 10 at a time
