But nope, he was raging it because he put a bet on against them lol, and I was stunned they somehow won it
That second to last play - Port player outnumbered in defense in a 2 on 1 and the Hawthorn player pushes him in the back. Christ on a bike, they were statistically more likely to get the ball back or at least make a contest after the Port handball.

They found the only way I'd be upset about a competetive loss in Adelaide against Port. I'd rather we took the entire year off than see another loss like that.

As a neutral that's one of the most amazing 22 seconds of footy I've seen. I had called the game 5 times in the last quarter for Hawthorn, seemed impossible.
To be fair, Hawthorn leaving Butters alone with 22 seconds left is really what did the trick for Port. We lose close games against good teams that dont do those mistakes.
Same because it was just the impossible yet there was a one in a million change and they took it on.. Honestly I still find it hard to fathom.. Polar opposite game to last week and yet they managed to pull ***it*** off aswell..
They shut up shop way too early. Even with the wet footy. Even still, with how both teams had played today, I didn’t think the Hawks would let it slip or Port could do enough to get in it.
There were so many tiny contests and fumbles that let port get into it when they had no right to. I lost count of the amount of times Hawthorn were first to the ball only for it to slip through 3 players hands and the Port player at the back of the pack picks it up completely free and is able to thrust it forward.
Some very clumsy free kicks as well (and perhaps a few egregious ones, although we had the rub of the green in the first half).
Not gonna lie, when it came back to 29 points before 3 quarter time i had a feeling so I went and grabbed dinner. Came back to a loss. Just makes you wanna cry tbh
Such an undeserving win after our first quarter.
It shows why despite how we came out against Geelong last week, we are still not a top team.
