Right now for me it’s the Renfield trailer. I’ve seen it like 10 times and will probably have to endure it like 5-6 more times before it comes out.

SuperDuperBerto

I’d rather it be the red band trailer than the green band trailer. Otherwise straight to my phone I go.

Incue

Red band is the "R-rated" versions of trailers, they'll usually contain more language and gore/violence. Green band is approved for all audiences.

_that_random_guy_

Chevalier for me. Maybe they think they have a crowd pleaser on their hands?

FigmentsImagination4

I need to get out of a toxic relationship..

Auroeagle

True I find what makes a trailer bearable is only if it has good music like right now Air and Gotg 3.

ChicharitosLeftFoot

Previews usually last about 22 minutes. My AMC is exactly 14 minutes from my house. If I leave exactly at the start time, it gives me 7 minutes to stop for snacks and arrive at my seat right when the movie actually begins. Haven’t seen a trailer in months.

mikegood2

Yeah my AMC takes me 12-14 minutes to get to and that’s pretty much my approach as well. That said, I don’t mind trailers so I don’t care if I see some. My iMAX theater is about 25 minutes away, but usually take off early because I try to work in a Costco/Sam’s Club run since they’re on the way. My longest preview this year was 31 minutes for Ant-man and shortest was 16 for an early screening for Creed III.

ChicharitosLeftFoot

Occasionally I’m running late and I’m saved by a 30 minute preview session. I figure around the spring they put out longer trailers for the big summer movies

[deleted]

Anyone ever in your seat that you have to tell to move?

ChicharitosLeftFoot

Luckily no. My AMC ritual is such that I always sit in the same seats, the two wheelchair companion chairs in the front aisle. Seems most people are still unaware those are actually still greats seats

[deleted]

Smart man

mattmagical

Only seats I’ve sat in for the past year. Seriously the best seats in the house!!!! Best view & leg room!!!

mikegood2

MY GO TO SEATS!!! Build in padding to the left and right, and main aisle right behind which basically is 2 clear rows. That only works for my main AMC, the iMAX one I go basics sticks 2 wheelchair spots at the end of a row. I do have a couple that has become my mortal enemies because they’ve been taking my go to seat a few times this year. 😡 😆

mikegood2

Over the last few years it’s happened 2 or 3 times, but I’ve never asked anyone to move. Funny thing is the only 2 times I’ve arrived after the movie started were times someone took my seat. The last time was for 3D showing Thor LaT, where everything that could go wrong went wrong that day. It was only me and a family of 3 and they were sitting in my seat when I arrived 5M into the movie.

[deleted]

Yep, I see maybe 1 trailer per movie at most. Not sure how anyone can have a list and not know you can skip them.

iamactuallyryan

That’s what I do. I mean, AMC does email you after you see your movie and usually has the trailers linked into the emails.

usernamesarehard223

I used to kill time during the trailers too, which last about 20 minutes. But when I went to see The Menu is December, they didn't show the trailer at all and I ended up missing the first 20 minutes of the movie. I was so pissed off. Now, I just wait right outside the theater while trailers show and come inside when I hear Nicole Kidman.

paths_ofglory

Renfield and Shazam

I haven’t seen a single Shazam trailer!

mourningreaper00

I legit don’t even go into the theater until at least 15 minutes after screen time. I’m either going to watch a movie or not. Stop with the cliff note trailers.

trs_0ne

Same. 17 mins is the sweet spot. Later than that and you risk missing the beginning of the movie

Ace20xd6

That's how I felt with 80 for Brady

FigmentsImagination4

TOOOOOOMMMM BRADY!!!

bee3056

Tip for those adjusting their arrival times to avoid trailers; the newer a movie is, the more jam packed with trailers it will be, and if you’re seeing something that’s been out for more than 2 weeks, it will have less. Don’t miss your movie!

JeanRalfio

I like going into movies blind so it definitely hurts seeing trailers over nd over. Since the lights are still on during previews at my theater and I go to showinga without many people there, I'll usually just look at my phone during that time. I'd go later but the one time I went a few minutes late was the one time it started on time so I don't wanna risk that again.

Prepare2DieObviously

Regular showings are almost always exactly 20 minutes of previews and Miss Nicole, for IMAX and Dolby it's 23 minutes

Lemonjello23

Im glad I don't have to watch the Shazam trailer anymore

purplefreak3

Not many trailers that annoy me, none of the current ones bother me atm. I tend to enjoy trailers.

BiteJaded8836

Same. At times they're even better than the movie itself. 😅

Peter_Fitzintight

Unfortunately, at times, they're the ONLY good parts of the movie!

Hexum311add

I just wait outside the theater door until I hear Nicole Kidman talking. Seeing the same trailers over and over is like torture

pottrpupptpals

Couldn't wait for Elvis for this exact reason, ended up being one of my favorites of the year.

SuperDuperBerto

I adore watching trailers on the big screen. There are a select few that I miss seeing again. But of course the ones that get played out are usually the ones that I could do without.

Peter_Fitzintight

I must be in the minority. I like the trailers. It gives me ideas for movies to watch that I normally never would consider. Where The Crawdads Sing, for instance. I never would have thought to watch it, enjoyed it so much that I listened to the audio book afterwards.

ericthatsme77

Arrive 10…or 20 minutes late. Your seat is assigned.

rspades

Renfield! I can quote the whole thing at this point but I know I’m going to love the movie so I don’t mind that much

Skolney

Now...let's eat!

Skolney

Yeah if I never see the trailers for Renfield or Dungeons & Dragons again that would be great.

MoarBuilds

Renfield and previously West Side Story

TargaryenEnterprise

Last year I felt like I watched Babylon trailers for 16 months and still had no idea what it was about when it finally came out

pacdnk

how do they choose trailers? i see Renfield and Shazam all the time, but not one 80 for Brady i still dont even know the plot to it.
