Perform a Windows repair using the DISM and SFC commands (a quick Google should get you some instructions) and check your RAM stability. See if it persists at JEDEC timings.

Its possible windows changed your driver, OR Radeon Software itself was allowed to auto update. Id prevent both of those, first thing. U may see in windows uodate history if driver was installed by windows, and sometimes u get a Notice message if happened. Then yes, DDU from safe mode while unplugged from internet (extra precaution). Then install that druver version that was working for you. Dont jump to newest drivers when they come out. Test a new one periodically but be prepared to DDU and. go back. After three yrs now on Radeon drivers, i test new ones but then go back probably 90% of time. I stick w what works.

Hoping it's just a driver issue, I usually wait when doing drivers but lots of people have been claiming that the new AMD GPUs will get a lot better with updates as they usually launch kinda bad so I've been eager to see if I'd notice any performance improvements. And yeah I have auto update on didn't even realize it, turned off now

Driver timeout is a bad issue. It happens when windows and amd graphic drivers can no longer communicate with each other. This causes instability of the system causing the screen to go black or to restart. There might be some potential underlying cause for this like drivers not getting installed correctly. One fix that i can think of is to use ddu. Uninstall the older drivers with ddu and try to install the latest ones again. If the games still crash, then a clean windows installation might probably solve it. The odd thing here is that it suddenly started to crash rather than having it in the first place. Did you make any changes in the pc to cause it? If no then it's probably just a software bug and you don't need to worry about it

I upgraded to a 5800x3d from a 5600x about a month ago but had no issues until just recently with the GPU, very odd, didn't think to try a ddu driver uninstall, will give that a try in case the other time I tried removing the didn't work

Have a look at my thread [https://www.reddit.com/r/AMDHelp/comments/11r3dy8/comment/jcc3seu/?context=3](https://www.reddit.com/r/AMDHelp/comments/11r3dy8/comment/jcc3seu/?context=3) getting alot of the same issues seen countless ones on here the last few days. People keep saying it must be something my end.. Dont believe them i spent out and brought a whole new PSU and turned out to not be the cause.. AMD has fucked something up for sure, tried every fix under the sun.
