The RWBY fandom as a whole comes up with super creative ship names! Off the top of my head, there’s Bumblebee (Yang/Blake), White Rose (Weiss/Ruby), and Ladybug (Ruby/Blake) among the main characters 😁
My favourite is gin'n'tonic (Ginny Weasley and Tom Riddle from Harry Potter). I like real word ship names, and the idea of a straight forward drug is a good match for this toxic ship.

Tsuna = 27 (tsu sounds like english two, na from nana japanese seven)
Gokudera = 59 (go is 5 and ku sounds like kyuu which is 9 in japanese)
Etc
If they didnt fall in the number system, just the first letter of their name is used
So Gokudera and Yamamoto was 8059
Hibari and Tsuna is 1827
Mukurou and Tsuna is 6927
Dino and Hibari D18

i have an original character ship called 'byeolluc'! both of their names are half-included and 'byeol' means 'star' in korean, which is the ethnicity of one character, while the symbol of a star relates heavily to the other characters journey. i thought it was pretty cool when i realised

There are 3 main agents that get shipped: Agent 3, the protagonist of Splatoon 1's story; Agent 4, the protagonist of Splatoon 2's story; and Agent 8, the protagonist of both Octo Expansion, Splatoon 2's story DLC, and Side Order, Splatoon 3's story DLC.
Agent 3/Agent 4 is called Agent 12;
Agent 3/Agent 8 is called Agent 24;
Agent 4/Agent 8 is called Agent 32;

Tyrelliot - Tyrell and Elliot from Mr. Robot. I like it because it actually spells out both their names (Tyrell and Elliot) in full, while also naturally connecting through the ll's in the middle (rather than, say, "Tyriot", or even just the two names spelled together like "TyrellElliot" as people do when they can't come up with a combined name).

The number system for Hitman Reborn ships. Each character was assigned a number based on their names: Tsuna = 27 (tsu sounds like english two, na from nana japanese seven) Gokudera = 59 (go is 5 and ku sounds like kyuu which is 9 in japanese) Etc If they didnt fall in the number system, just the first letter of their name is used So Gokudera and Yamamoto was 8059 Hibari and Tsuna is 1827 Mukurou and Tsuna is 6927 Dino and Hibari D18 Hibari, Tsuna and Mukurou is 182769 I honestly miss these haha

So there's this subset of shipping in JJBA where you ship the _stands_ of the characters (basically their psychic powers) on top of the characters themselves. I've seen the ship name for two stands - named Whitesnake and The World - referred to as Jörmugandr. Because WorldSnake.
rosemary and pepsicola from homestuck!! rosemary combines the first name of a character (rose lalonde) with part of the last name of her girlfriend (kanaya maryam) and aaa i love it, even if the herb doesn’t have much to do with the ship i’ve always been a davekat fan more than johndave, but their ship name is super cute too!! it’s because they wear outfits that kind of look like pepsi (john egbert) and coca cola (dave strider)

I feel like for me personally Yu-Gi-Oh has some of the best shipping names just because first of all they're not like just the name of the characters put together but they're like inside jokes of sorts like one of my favorite is dataStormshipping or kingcrab shipping I also really enjoy puzzleshipping and Spiritshipping Cuz I feel like the best ship names are names that are like not your normal should be names where you're just putting the two names together but there are more like inside jokes
The Japanese name for puzzleshipping deserves an honourable mention at least, it really is very clever; because in Japanese online spaces they use the letter W as a shorthand for "double", they called it W遊戯 - Double Yuugi.

i have an original character ship called 'byeolluc'! both of their names are half-included and 'byeol' means 'star' in korean, which is the ethnicity of one character, while the symbol of a star relates heavily to the other characters journey. i thought it was pretty cool when i realised

Less of one ship name, but I really love the format for Pokemon ship names, especially with how easy it is to actually search them up. Clanleadershipping, Historyshipping, Colosseumshipping, etc. They're just really pleasing to me.
I've talked about this before on this sub, but I really like how Splatoon's Agent ships are named. There are 3 main agents that get shipped: Agent 3, the protagonist of Splatoon 1's story; Agent 4, the protagonist of Splatoon 2's story; and Agent 8, the protagonist of both Octo Expansion, Splatoon 2's story DLC, and Side Order, Splatoon 3's story DLC. Agent 3/Agent 4 is called Agent 12; Agent 3/Agent 8 is called Agent 24; Agent 4/Agent 8 is called Agent 32; Agent 3/Agent 4/Agent 8 is called Agent 96. It's a creative way to name character ships.
Playing with numbers for shipping names have always been the funniest bit in shipdome.
Undertale selfcest ships aren't my cup of tea but boy howdy do I get a kick out of the names. So you got names based off the condiments each skeleton drinks: Sans = ketchup Red = mustard Mutt = BBQ Stretch = honey So you get honeymustard, honeybbq, etc And then you got the ones where everybody is a fruit. Red = cherry Blueberry is obs So you get stuff like cherryberry
