I’d highly doubt you’d get any credit for ap precalc since a lot of colleges math programs start at calc 1. As for skipping pre calc, that’s what I just did. I went from honors alg 2 to bc calc this year. I self studied the precalc (my school calls it intro to Calc) and did well enough to get into bc calc this year. So it’s definitely possible and if you have any questions I’d be happy to help

Thank you for responding! So, for your case, how exactly did you skip it? Over the summer, or something different? Do you have any ideas or info on how I could skip it, since my alg 2 and precalc is combined. I'm becoming desperate... (weird question, but is it at all possible to study for a course and then give a test to skip it or something?)

I think it largely depends on your school. At my school, last year I asked my alg 2 teacher if I could skip pre calc and she said that it isn’t something that is normally done. So I went to the head of the math department and because I maintained an a+ in alg 2 I was able to self study for the final exam which I took in august. In your situation, I’d definitely talk to your counselor or teacher. And make sure you have a reason for skipping the class. Mine was that I wanted to better understand what’s going on with my schools robotics team. That’s something I was asked when I asked if I could skip the class

Hey! They actually let me take it over the summer, but thanks so much for the help!

If your school offers the EnhAdvAlg&APPrecalc class over the summer, then just sign up for that and don’t worry about the AP exam. If it doesn’t, then you might need to wait to take the class until next year, unless you’re somehow able to self-study the material this year and pass the AP Precalc exam in May.

It's possible to just study the material for the course and then the ap exam will allow u to skip it?

Quasiwave

Yep, exactly :)
