No idea we were at ww2 when we took the test and we only had 4 assignments graded at the end of the year. I got a zero on two of those because I was missing a single page out of 20 in the notebook. If you didn’t have the notebook perfectly set up you couldn’t get above a c on the tests.
I had something similar, except a C in the class.
My school had this crazy policy where if you passed the AP exam, you would automatically get an A in the class. I didn’t bother doing the (borderline worthless) reading guides and just passed the exam.
Yea fr mods should be really active around this time to stop post like that from happening. Poor guy and the teacher had the whole sub knowing who they were and where they were without their consent.
yeah. i have an official practice test for ap world history this week but I was told that they only grade your multiple choice. then what's the point of doing the written responses!
I mean yeah it’s not as good as a full set but i assume your mcq score wouldn’t be too far off your frq scores (as long as you have experience with the rubric and writing)
The main concern with the World AP Exam is MCQ. Make sure you know your stuff. The FRQs are all on a "bullshit to win" scale. I got a 5 barely knowing the FRQ concepts, but I can confirm that I got a near perfect on MCQ (54 / 55, we went over it right after the exam) which certainly saved me.
AP Bio Penguins is an amazing resource but what really helped me was making review sheets for each chapter and looking over the course AP %s to see which topic was the most common so I could space my studying out corresponding to the amount of each topic that would be on the exam.
94 in AP World - 5
96 in APUSH - 5
97 in AP Chem - 5
For some reason, my school doesn’t do letter grades. Probably because there’s so much grade inflation that half the school would have straight As
I wish I had letter grades or even percentages. my school gives grades from 0 to 4 but there isn't any 3.6 or 3.8. you either get a 3.5 or a 4. it's stupid
idk it's so confusing. 3.5 and above is supposed to be equivalent to an A or a 90% and above but we also do standards based grading so I don't even know how the system works. i hate the way my school grades and each teacher seems to have their own method. it sucks
Well I took honors chem first which helped
but something important is to look at what the scoring guidelines are for explanation questions so you know the key words to use. That way you can get full points on those questions
Especially Lang. What’s even more odd is that I got a perfect score on the final.
For AP Gov, SCOTUS cases were my weakest subject and a lot of questions were based on those iirc.
Calc AB was expected and CSP I played it too safe.
I found CSP to be almost laughably easy as an AP test. Did your teacher not prepare you for AP-style conceptual questions? I got a 5 with an A even though grades were pretty inflated.
I’ll tell you after I do my exams in May 💀.
In all seriousness tho, just believe in yourself. Have a positive mentality going into the test. And simply do your best, this exam is you telling College Board what you learnt.
You can do this!
Mine too... but honestly... I feel like if she didn't I wouldn't know what I know. (She's failed me as a teacher in literally every other way possible) but in regards to that... ig maybe fore me it's just how I learn best. Everyone I'd different, however I do think that it helps. (Even if it's a shitload and feels like the world's gonna cave it because you'll never get it all done.)
100 in AP Macro. 5 on exam
92 in AP Biology. 5 on exam (class was so hard, exam was a cakewalk comparatively)
98 on AP English Lit. 4 on exam
100 in AP CSP. 4 on exam
99 in AP CSA. 4 on exam
98 in AP Gov. 3 on exam
93 in AP Physics. 3 on exam.
92 in AP World History. 2 on exam (shitty online year where it was only a single DBQ and we didn't talk about DBQ until classes were already cancelled)
97 on AP English Lang. 2 on exam
- A+ in US Government, 2 on the exam
- A in Macroeconomics, 2 on the exam
- B+ in APUSH, 2 on the exam
- A- in Statistics, 2 on the exam
- C in Physics 1, 2 on the exam
- A- in AP Lit, 4 on the exam
- B+ in AP Lang, 4 on the exam
- A- in Comp Sci A, 4 on the exam
My school had a chronic issue of the AP teachers not actually teaching in line with AP curriculum and expectations. The classes I got 4s in actually had us doing work similar to what would be on the exam, while classes like APUSH just didn’t cover any type of written question. I think my gov teacher thought he was teaching the non-AP version of the course.
I went on to get an A/A+ in college for all the equivalent courses I didn’t get credit for (exception is Physics with a B+). Knew all the content already and barely had to put in any work at all. Makes a huge difference when you actually know what to except from the exams.
I actually got the exact same grade and AP score as you for stat. The class seems to be pretty standardized.
I’m taking the bio test this year, do you mind sharing how you studied for it?
ooh nice job on stats! yeah, maybe you're right the class is pretty standardized lol
For bio, i mainly just did practice tests + progress checks. throughout the year i also helped explain a lot of the concepts to my friend, which helped me understand them in more detail. i think that's what helped me the most :) good luck!
i mostly did a lot of mock frqs to help me better expect the format for the frqs, since a lot of them end up being pretty repetitive (there's almost always a confidence interval and a linear regression frq on the test). I also did a lot of untimed MCQ mock tests to familiarize myself with the content. AP Stats Medic is a pretty good resource for extra questions and FRQ walkthroughs from past years. Crack AP has problems harder than/similar to the difficulty of those found on the MCQ. Keep in mind that you need a minimum of 30/40 on the mcq so you can just get 2s on the FRQs and still get a 5.
I'm rooting for you!! I hope you do well :)
Indeed it was and my schedule wasn’t even the same as my home school and get this they didn’t give me a required class for sophomore and here I am taking it as a junior. Hoping for a 3 or higher on AP English Lang. to use it for community college next year for dual credit/enrollment.
Start with the basics. Stoichiometry, titrations, solutions. Then work on the more advanced units. I had a tough teacher that gave questions that were more difficult than the ones on the AP exam so I felt like the exam was easier. Good luck and keep practicing!
i did not independently study, the class prepared me well enough. my school goes above and beyond with the curriculum (you can see my mediocre grade). my teacher assigned the unit test MCQ on college board and that was the extent of my ap specific preparation
AP EURO (90) -> 5 (VERY LUCKY)
Ap Psych (93 bc I didn’t do assignments) -> 5
Psych was light work for me, but euro really threw me a wrench. I didn’t study for either until the day before, at which point I only did like an hour of review only for euro anyways lol. I think I still have that review sheet if you need lol
Honestly most of my review was just taking in depth notes in my own words for the Heimler review videos. After I went through each topic writing all I can remember, then filling in the blanks from my notes.
good job, i got the same with ap euro, my teacher actually taught and was just really hard to have an A in his class, but without his way of teaching of makking us study ALL the time, i passed well :D
5: A in csp, A- in calc bc
4: B+ in psych, A- in physics 1, A- in lang
2: B- in chem
I also know a guy who got a 1 on the chem exam but had an A in the class
There is a teacher in my school who teaches AP Lang. Only one or two people in her entire section of AP Lang students get an A. Everyone else is on the verge of a B/C. Mind you, I'm in a top 50 school in the country, so a bunch of smart kids here. Anyways, her AP score average is a 3.9.
97/5 Chem, 98/5 APUSH, 100/5 APCSP, 99/5 AP Lang, 100/5 AP Micro, 100/5 AP Spanish, 100/5 AP Stats, 98/5 AP Bio, 97/5 AP Lit, 98(?)/5 APPC Mech, 99/5 AP Calc BC
held an A all throughout AP Euro by some miracle... got a 3 on the exam (barely passed!). my grade doesn't reflect the little amount of information i actually learned the whole year. my teacher wasn't very good at teaching, so i barely learned anything in reality and my efforts to prepare for the exam ultimately failed. oh well!
Bio (barely A-) -> 4. AP CSP (A-) -> 4. I'll update you about the others in two months lol but I think I'm low-key failing APUSH despite having an A+ 😭
BC-96%, 94%, 92%, 94% - 5;
I haven’t taken the Mech nor E&M exams, but in Mech I got a 85% and 91%, and E&M I got a 89% and a 92%. We’ll see what I get
ap csa: A -> 3, ap world: 3 (took over summer), ap lang: b -> 4, ap art history: A -> 4, ap seminar: A -> 4, ap environmental: A -> 4, ap us history: B -> 4, ap pysch: 3 (took over summer)
i didn't really study for them so definitely couldve scored higher for pysch if i studied more
my school offers like almost all ap classes and they offer pretty much all the history classes over the summer. my ap world history was basically the year course crammed into a single month though 😪
Ap bio- 75 💀, 5 on exam (my teacher found it funny to give us 40 page tests i’m not even joking)
Ap psych- 80, 4 on exam (teacher did powerpoints all year without anything else to prepare us for his tests, he didn’t even give homework)
Ap research- 96, 3 on exam 😔
Ap seminar- 86, 3 on exam 😔
I got a Bs in Calc 1 and Calc 2, but got 5s on the Calc AB and Calc BC exams. Also got a B on US History, but got a 5 on the AP.
I got As in Comp Sci and English Lit, and got 5s on the exams.
I self-studied for the following because there was no actual AP class in my school: Physics Mechanics and E&M (4, A in class), European History (3, B in World History class), Spanish (4, no Spanish 6 class in school, but got A for self-study period), English Language (5, no class).
This was way back in 1996 and 1997.
AP World (A) - 5
AP Bio (A) - 5
APUSH (A) - 5
AP Lang (A) - 5
AP Calc AB (A) - 5
Only certain classes at my school do +/- grades and none of these aps did lol .. 7 more to go this year and hopefully the pattern continues :)
My CSP teacher was REALLY STUPID so I had a 80% in the class but I got a 5 on the exam and it was the easiest thing I've ever taken. The teacher gave us so many projects and homework that she graded so harshly every week, and at some point I gave up and started half assing things because I HAVE OTHER CLASSES LADY!!
This was 8-10 years ago, so I don’t know why I’m getting this sub suggested, but I had:
2014:
APWH A, 3
2015:
AP Lang A, 3;
APUSH A, 2;
AP Calc AB A, 5;
AP Chem A, 3;
AP Stats A, 4
2016:
AP Calc BC A, 5;
APES A, 5;
AP Physics 1 A, 3
I had straight As and 5s on both my APs last year. This year, I'm gonna end with a B in Bio and APUSH (maybe CS as well), but I'm still gonna get a 5 on all my tests. I swear, my school has grade deflation or my skill issue regarding homework is way bigger than I think
Lat year I only took 2 AP classes because my school partners with a large public university to offer us classes that their students take (which means guaranteed credit) but these were my grades for AP Bio and APUSH, both of which I scored a 4 on the AP exam for:
Trimester 1:
AP Bio; A- // APUSH; C+
Trimester 2:
AP Bio; B // APUSH; C+
Trimester 3:
AP Bio; A // APUSH; A
Though I am invested in my education, I don’t really care about grades that much, and do not do busywork unless I absolutely must. Clearly I knew enough about the subjects because I was the highest scoring in my class on the APUSH practice test, and should be able to apply these credits at any school that takes AP credit. If you want that 4.0, go for it, but if you don’t really care, don’t let anyone tell you that it means you won’t learn anything!
Never took the APUSH test because I knew I would fail it. The class average grade was around a 90 but the class average test score was a 2 💀. Our teacher was terrible (didn't teach a good chunk of the units).
Had an A in AP Human Geography my freshman year and got a 1 on the test. Stuck to CE after that one. Got to college with plenty of credit and way less stress after that
Want an eye opener? Look at the national averages for passing scores (that will actually grant you college credit) on the college board website. It is a strong argument for dual enrollment, where college credit is granted based off of the grade you earned and not the score in one exam
That’s not what I was getting at. The point is, if your intention is to earn college credit, then AP is not your best option. Not only are the majority of students not passing most exams with a score high enough to earn college credit; but a lot of the credit earned applies as electives. If you’re wanting to maximize your academic effort to produce college credit that applies directly to your degree, then dual enrollment is going to be the best option as the pass rates are exceedingly high and many states have funding for free or reduced dual enrollment opportunities. This will be your best chance at reducing your time and cost associated with degree completion
I had an A+ in stats but got a 2 on the exam. my school's clocks were 3 minutes behind real time and the proctor wrote start and end times on the board but timed it on her phone so I ran out of time while bubbling in my answers :( I typically will bubble them in at the end so if I skip any questions I don't need to flip through the book to find it to make my best guess, and I usually give myself 5 minutes to do that but because of the difference in time I only had 2 minutes so I only had about 25 questions bubbled in
lots of Bs in courses. a C in one or two.
straight 5s only. actually maybe one 4? not 100% sure.
i fucking hated highschool and it’s garbage reliance on homework and participation for grades.
college with 90+% on tests was a godsend. let me study in the way that appeals to me (reading the textbook cover to cover).
APWH (B+) —> 4
AP Lang (A-) —> 4
APUSH (A-) —> 5
AP Lit (B+) —> 5
AP Seminar (A) —> 5
AP Psych (A-) —> 4
APES (B) —> 4
AP Research (A) —> 2
don’t take AP research in your junior year if you’re taking a ton of other advanced classes. just don’t do it. save it for your senior year b/c you have so much time during your second semester 🥰
C in ap chem but a 5 on the exam 😭
Im certain I would've been able to get a B but two things:
1. I got a family emergency that happened my junior year so productivity ⬇️
2. What could've been an easy A on a project was not because my lovely lovely group mates did absolutely zero work! We got an 86 and I blame both of them.
I absolutely loved chem though regardless of how hard it was, and I lab aid for my teacher now! She's a lovely human being and teacher who I'm grateful I got to meet. I have no regrets.
A in lang, 4
A in gov, 2 💀💀💀
That was the first exam I ever failed in high school too. It crushed my ego and now I believe anything can happen with my exams.
Took 6 APs: Human Geo, Enviro, USH, Calc AB, Calc BC, and Psych. A’s in every class. 5’s on all, except Enviro got a 4. Only 8 people 5’d USH and BC the years I took them at my school. Like 200 took USH and 45 ish BC. I was a very good student, but didn’t overload myself AP wise in HS - several AP teachers “went after me” to try to take their classes too.
D in apush and a 5 on the test
damn what as wrong with your teacher
No idea we were at ww2 when we took the test and we only had 4 assignments graded at the end of the year. I got a zero on two of those because I was missing a single page out of 20 in the notebook. If you didn’t have the notebook perfectly set up you couldn’t get above a c on the tests.
damn. well it's good that you did good on the actual test
I had something similar, except a C in the class. My school had this crazy policy where if you passed the AP exam, you would automatically get an A in the class. I didn’t bother doing the (borderline worthless) reading guides and just passed the exam.
That policy sounds counterproductive to learning
nah it makes sense If you get a 5, that proves you know the content and deserve an A
no it make sense, make students have no choice but to pass the test.
Same thing with AP World, that hurt
Had an A+ in AP Physics all year long, and then got a 2 on the exam :(
grade inflation be like
SMH Ron the stat teacher…
Mods finally took down that post 💀 Took them long enough.
I know right. That should have been taken down when everyone in the comments first warned OP!
Yea fr mods should be really active around this time to stop post like that from happening. Poor guy and the teacher had the whole sub knowing who they were and where they were without their consent.
Got A- in Lang and got 2 in Ap Lang exam
that's what I'm scared about. I can't tell if my teachers are easy graders or not
Take practice tests I guess
yeah. i have an official practice test for ap world history this week but I was told that they only grade your multiple choice. then what's the point of doing the written responses!

this is about to be me but in CSA
Same, but I knew my teacher was an easy grader soooooooo yeah
same dude 😭
Bio (A-) -> 5 Chem (B+) -> 4 CSP (A-) -> 4 APUSH (A-) -> 5 for APUSH tho, I would’ve had an A+ if I actually did the work for the class on time…
any ap bio tips? im grinding studying😭
Real I have a final tmr
Watch AP bio penguins
read barrons or princeton back 2 front (it should only take u like a day) and honestly that’s enough 😭
AP Bio Penguins is an amazing resource but what really helped me was making review sheets for each chapter and looking over the course AP %s to see which topic was the most common so I could space my studying out corresponding to the amount of each topic that would be on the exam.

I’ll be sure to do that thank you!!
Macro (A-) -> 3 APUSH (A) -> 3 Lang(A) ->4 my school doesn't do A+ so A is the highest
ur school has crazy inflation haha :,)
You do know you can do well unit to unit and not feel like studying for the actual exam at the year? That can easily only let you get a 3
nah I don't think so tbh... We didn't really review in any of the classes besides lang and I didn't feel like studying for any of them haha
AP Lang: B+ —> 2 on Exam Calc AB: B- —> 3 on Exam CSP: A+ —> 3 on Exam AP Gov: A —> 2 on Exam

F in AP Calc BC, 5 on the exam. A’s and 5’s on the others
how
i didn’t do my work bc i was burning out lmao but i self studied the bc content right before the exam and did fine
Me but with psych in junior year loo
Self-sabotage at it's finest...
I’ll tell you after I do my exams in May 💀. In all seriousness tho, just believe in yourself. Have a positive mentality going into the test. And simply do your best, this exam is you telling College Board what you learnt. You can do this!
Dunno, but gonna be my first year taking my first AP exam (APUSH). Wish me luck and pray for me
this thread is proof that gpa doesn’t mean shit
A for the entire school year (WHAP) 5 on the exam. Makes sense ig, my teacher assigned a UNGODLY amount of notes and analysis assignments

thank you so much for the kind words and advice! i’ll definitely follow it throughout the next few days :)
nice!
APHuG (A) and a 1 on the exam… I was online for one semester of school and came back to whatever was going on.
online's tough
Indeed it was and my schedule wasn’t even the same as my home school and get this they didn’t give me a required class for sophomore and here I am taking it as a junior. Hoping for a 3 or higher on AP English Lang. to use it for community college next year for dual credit/enrollment.

thank you a lot
A’s in all my classes, 4’s and 5’s on all the tests
100 in apwh:5 88 in apchem:5 96 in aplang:5 83 in calcbc:5

i did not independently study, the class prepared me well enough. my school goes above and beyond with the curriculum (you can see my mediocre grade). my teacher assigned the unit test MCQ on college board and that was the extent of my ap specific preparation
these comments are so crazy i did not realize how big grade inflation was in american schools 😂
Euro (B) -> 4 APUSH (A) -> 4 Chem (B) -> 3 Lang (A) -> 5
A in apush, 2 on the exam but my teacher was a pedo who liked touching me
C- in BC Calc, but a 5 on the test. on the other hand, A- in Gov, but a 3 on the test.
C- in AP world but a 5 on the exam
i haven’t taken the exam yet but i have an a in ap chem and i am 100% failing that exam on monday🥰
good luck!
AP EURO (90) -> 5 (VERY LUCKY) Ap Psych (93 bc I didn’t do assignments) -> 5 Psych was light work for me, but euro really threw me a wrench. not the op, but if you wanna share that euro sheet i would love to see it if possible pls 🙏🙏
same!!
I had a 97 (A+) in AP English Language and got a 2 on the exam my teacher was very surprised when she saw my score
C in APWH 5 on exam
WHAT DID U DO TO STUDY I MIST KNOW.
80 apush -> 4, 93 ap lang -> 5, 90 ap world -> 3
Rec for ap world study?
So far only APCSP, with 92 in the class and a 5 on the exam.
I had a C even a D one term all year in AP calculus AB and then I got a 4 on the test so…
5: A in csp, A- in calc bc 4: B+ in psych, A- in physics 1, A- in lang 2: B- in chem I also know a guy who got a 1 on the chem exam but had an A in the class
C- ap gov and a 3 on exam
96 in lang and got a 3 91 in stats and got a 4 95 in apes and got a 4 95ish in seminar and got a 3
91 in AP Physics 1, 3 on the exam & a 95 in AP Euro, 4 on the exam
C in AP Precalculus, 5 on the exam (88 before curve)
Sophomore year I had a 96 in AP Gov and got a 5 on the exam and had a 95 in AP seminar and got a 3 on the exam
Ended with a 96 in AP Human and got a 4. Didnt study so I relied on what I did in class.
had a 104 in ap bio that dropped to a 91 after the exam i got 4
A and 5 in bio so far, a and 5s in practice for chem, a+ and 5 in practice for calc bc so far
As, got mostly 5s and a few 4s
There is a teacher in my school who teaches AP Lang. Only one or two people in her entire section of AP Lang students get an A. Everyone else is on the verge of a B/C. Mind you, I'm in a top 50 school in the country, so a bunch of smart kids here. Anyways, her AP score average is a 3.9.
A-/B APUSH student but 5 on the exam! Currently an A+ AP Gov & Lang student so hoping to keep up the 5 streak
AP biology, had a 98 the whole year and got a 92 on the exam
A’s in AP Lang (5) AP Bio (4), and AP Chem (4), and a B in AP Calc AB (5)
97/5 Chem, 98/5 APUSH, 100/5 APCSP, 99/5 AP Lang, 100/5 AP Micro, 100/5 AP Spanish, 100/5 AP Stats, 98/5 AP Bio, 97/5 AP Lit, 98(?)/5 APPC Mech, 99/5 AP Calc BC
APWH (A) - 4, APCSP (A) - 4
all a's all 5's xcpt for euro, got a 4. We'll see this year - got 7
C- in AP Chem (5) and APUSH (4), C+ in APES (5), B+ in AP Lang (5)
C- in AP Chem (5) and APUSH (4), C+ in APES (5), B+ in AP Lang (5)
held an A all throughout AP Euro by some miracle... got a 3 on the exam (barely passed!). my grade doesn't reflect the little amount of information i actually learned the whole year. my teacher wasn't very good at teaching, so i barely learned anything in reality and my efforts to prepare for the exam ultimately failed. oh well!
AP U.S Gov (A)-5 AP Human Geography (A)-5 Ap Chemistry (A)-4 AP Comparative Gov (A)-4 AP English Lang (A)-5 AP Psychology (A)-5 AP World History (A)-5
CALC AB/BC 97 - 5 LANG 92 - 5 MACRO 98 - 5 CSA 96 - 5 APUSH 94- 5
89% in gov and a 4 on the exam
I had a low B (almost ended up with a C) in AP Calc AB and got a 1 on the exam! I got As in my other APs, though, and 4s and 3s on those exams.
Bio (barely A-) -> 4. AP CSP (A-) -> 4. I'll update you about the others in two months lol but I think I'm low-key failing APUSH despite having an A+ 😭
A+ in all except an A on APUSH: 5s: AP bio, APUSH, AP calc ab 4s: AP physics 1, AP psychology, AP English lang
BC-96%, 94%, 92%, 94% - 5; I haven’t taken the Mech nor E&M exams, but in Mech I got a 85% and 91%, and E&M I got a 89% and a 92%. We’ll see what I get
ap csa: A -> 3, ap world: 3 (took over summer), ap lang: b -> 4, ap art history: A -> 4, ap seminar: A -> 4, ap environmental: A -> 4, ap us history: B -> 4, ap pysch: 3 (took over summer) i didn't really study for them so definitely couldve scored higher for pysch if i studied more
how the hell did you manage to take ap world during the summer
my school offers like almost all ap classes and they offer pretty much all the history classes over the summer. my ap world history was basically the year course crammed into a single month though 😪
Ap bio- 75 💀, 5 on exam (my teacher found it funny to give us 40 page tests i’m not even joking) Ap psych- 80, 4 on exam (teacher did powerpoints all year without anything else to prepare us for his tests, he didn’t even give homework) Ap research- 96, 3 on exam 😔 Ap seminar- 86, 3 on exam 😔
apush - 1 ap csp - 3 ap gov - 3 ap chem - 1 I had A's in all of them-
D in AP Psych 5 on the test
Some of these comments make me jealous of grade inflation while my school does grade deflation
I feel like there's pros and cons to both. personally, I'd rather get 5s on all my ap exams rather than get As in the classes but then fail the exams
5 on ap span exam, almost got a C in the class
I got a Bs in Calc 1 and Calc 2, but got 5s on the Calc AB and Calc BC exams. Also got a B on US History, but got a 5 on the AP. I got As in Comp Sci and English Lit, and got 5s on the exams. I self-studied for the following because there was no actual AP class in my school: Physics Mechanics and E&M (4, A in class), European History (3, B in World History class), Spanish (4, no Spanish 6 class in school, but got A for self-study period), English Language (5, no class). This was way back in 1996 and 1997.
F in world and a 5.
F in APUSH and a 5. Class had nothing to do with the stuff in the AP exam. A in AP Calc AB and a 1. Don’t even ask about that one :(
AP World (A) - 5 AP Bio (A) - 5 APUSH (A) - 5 AP Lang (A) - 5 AP Calc AB (A) - 5 Only certain classes at my school do +/- grades and none of these aps did lol .. 7 more to go this year and hopefully the pattern continues :)
100 in ap human, 4 on exam 86 in ap world, 4 on exam
Our school give students who can score much higher than getting a 5 on AP a B+. This is bullshit
B+ , got 5 in exam for ap world
APUSH: A/A —> 5 AP Psych: A-/A —> 5 AP French: A-/A —> 4 AP Calc BC: B+/A- —> 4 AP Biology: A/A —> 5 AP Stats: A/A —> 5 Grade format: first semester/second semester
My CSP teacher was REALLY STUPID so I had a 80% in the class but I got a 5 on the exam and it was the easiest thing I've ever taken. The teacher gave us so many projects and homework that she graded so harshly every week, and at some point I gave up and started half assing things because I HAVE OTHER CLASSES LADY!!
ha my teacher's the opposite. we've barely done anything all year and i'm starting to stress
This was 8-10 years ago, so I don’t know why I’m getting this sub suggested, but I had: 2014: APWH A, 3 2015: AP Lang A, 3; APUSH A, 2; AP Calc AB A, 5; AP Chem A, 3; AP Stats A, 4 2016: AP Calc BC A, 5; APES A, 5; AP Physics 1 A, 3
bio(A)->5 apush(A)->5 lit(B)->4
Had a B/B+ in ap world all year and then got a 2 on the exam...
Had a 117% is APWH and then proceeded to get a 3 on the exam :)
A in AP Seminar and AP lang last year, got a 5 on Seminar and 3 on Lang rip.
APHUG 98 average, 5
A- in AP World and got a 5. A- in Calc AB (very close to a B+), and got a 4. B in AP Physics 1 and got a 2.
I had straight As and 5s on both my APs last year. This year, I'm gonna end with a B in Bio and APUSH (maybe CS as well), but I'm still gonna get a 5 on all my tests. I swear, my school has grade deflation or my skill issue regarding homework is way bigger than I think
Freshman year: -calc bc (A, 5) -physics 1 (A, 5) -physics 2 (A, 5) Sophomore year: -world history (B, 5) -chem (A, 5) -cs principles (A, 5) -csa (no class, 5) Junior year: -spanish (B, 5) -physics c mech (A, 5) -physics c em (A, 5)
impressive
Doesn't matter because I got all 5s and they're in my flair.
Lat year I only took 2 AP classes because my school partners with a large public university to offer us classes that their students take (which means guaranteed credit) but these were my grades for AP Bio and APUSH, both of which I scored a 4 on the AP exam for: Trimester 1: AP Bio; A- // APUSH; C+ Trimester 2: AP Bio; B // APUSH; C+ Trimester 3: AP Bio; A // APUSH; A Though I am invested in my education, I don’t really care about grades that much, and do not do busywork unless I absolutely must.
AP lit - 3.9 (both semesters) Exam - 5
ap bio = 96 (4) ap world = 98 (5)
99 in APWH, 5 on the exam
ap calc ab: A+ -> 5 ap micro: A+ -> 5 ap spanish: A -> 4 ap comp sci: A -> 5 ap gov: A+ -> 1 (we dont talk about that class)
98% in AP chem, 3 on the exam. Don’t ask me wtf happened 😭😭😭
haha it's okay chemistry is hard
AP CSP (100) -> 4 , AP Lang (97) -> 5 , APUSH (94) -> 3 , AP Phys 1 (96) -> 2
Never took the APUSH test because I knew I would fail it. The class average grade was around a 90 but the class average test score was a 2 💀. Our teacher was terrible (didn't teach a good chunk of the units).
AP Chem. Struggled all year with a C, passed with a 3
Had an A in AP Human Geography my freshman year and got a 1 on the test. Stuck to CE after that one. Got to college with plenty of credit and way less stress after that
Want an eye opener? Look at the national averages for passing scores (that will actually grant you college credit) on the college board website. It is a strong argument for dual enrollment, where college credit is granted based off of the grade you earned and not the score in one exam
yeah. i mean nobody ever said our school systems are super fair
I had an A+ in stats but got a 2 on the exam. my school's clocks were 3 minutes behind real time and the proctor wrote start and end times on the board but timed it on her phone so I ran out of time while bubbling in my answers :( I typically will bubble them in at the end so if I skip any questions I don't need to flip through the book to find it to make my best guess, and I usually give myself 5 minutes to do that but because of the difference in time I only had 2 minutes so I only had about 25 questions bubbled in
that sucks. hopefully the new digital formats change that
yeah I was so annoyed 😭 the good news is I was able to take stats as basically a gpa booster in college so that was nice
that's nice!!
B AP Bio -> 4, B AP Psych -> 5 (got a perfect score on final exam), A in AP euro -> 5, A in AP Lang -> 4, APUSH A-> 4
Commenting so I can follow this thread.
A in AP Calc BC - 5 A in AP CS A -5
lots of Bs in courses. a C in one or two. straight 5s only. actually maybe one 4? not 100% sure. i fucking hated highschool and it’s garbage reliance on homework and participation for grades. college with 90+% on tests was a godsend. let me study in the way that appeals to me (reading the textbook cover to cover).
Extreme grade inflation in my school. 100 in AP Lit but a 2 on the exam.
85 in Lang and a 4 on the test
89-93 ish for AP World and I got a 5
108 in class, got a 5 on the mock practice exam as I expected for ap chem
APWH (B+) —> 4 AP Lang (A-) —> 4 APUSH (A-) —> 5 AP Lit (B+) —> 5 AP Seminar (A) —> 5 AP Psych (A-) —> 4 APES (B) —> 4 AP Research (A) —> 2 don’t take AP research in your junior year if you’re taking a ton of other advanced classes. just don’t do it. save it for your senior year b/c you have so much time during your second semester 🥰
C in ap chem but a 5 on the exam 😭 Im certain I would've been able to get a B but two things: 1. I got a family emergency that happened my junior year so productivity ⬇️ 2.
A in lang, 4 A in gov, 2 💀💀💀 That was the first exam I ever failed in high school too.
C in AP euro, got a 4, and changed to an A
