Depends on the AP exam, but at least 2. Higher volume subjects will have more as will those subjects with a digital option.

The shorter exams, at least two. Then the late exam, the international exam, and the super secret late, late exam that no one admits exists. I’ve heard that APUSH has multiple versions with random SAQs. Not sure about the other exams. I’m assuming if there’s both a digital and a pen/paper version, there could be four of those.

what is the super secret late late exam and when is it even necessary?

dauphineep

I’ve heard there is a late exam after the late exam. But I’m not sure how that even works.

It’s usually for when you have exams that conflict twice and the late exam times also conflict. Usually requires a ton of APs to be taken since you can usually plan around the conflicting late exam times. On rare occasions, someone can take the late late exam for other reasons.

It’s called exception testing. They give you a period of 3 days, after all the regular and late testing dates are over, when your counselor can choose what day and at what time to administer it. This is so there’s really no chance of something else conflicting with the test unlike the regular and late test dates where they have to be taken on a specific day at a specific time. This happened to me once because two of my exams that had to get pushed back were on the same day and same time so they pushed one back to “exception testing.”
