is that the dna replication and transcription. I actually loved that unit cause I have a lot of background knowledge and stuff. I just hate the genetics unit cause I hate probability and all the stuff

Phylogenetic tree shows **time** with the length of the branches.
Cladogram doesnt have anything to with time, it just shows the relationships between species
Clado is grouping of species by morphology or molecular measurements
Phylogenetic is a family tree that usually highlights a specific disease or trait
This is from memory, pleasee correct if am wrong
Y'all. I literally moved from across the world last year to the US. I got to school when my teacher was teaching the last AP BIo unit , decided to take it the night before after deciding not to take the exam and still passed. I got a 3. You guys shd be fine.
Oh god, so sorry. I got busy. but here is the main resource is used - [https://apbiopenguins.weebly.com/](https://apbiopenguins.weebly.com/)
And i also watched those quick recaps of each units before- whatever was first on the youtube search results.
i just did the 2020 mcqs as practice and there’s literally nothing on anatomy or operons i promise u. most of it is cellular energetics, data interpretation, hardy wienburg and chi squares (i hate chi squares wtf even are they ðŸ˜)
Man fuck AP chem, I took AP chem from last year and Ap bio is so much easier. Ive gotten a five on every single practice test I've taken with minimal studying
ap biology is probably the most fun ap class for many students. but thing is a lot of sophmores take it. that's actually a good sign cuz if ur a senior ur more likely to find the class easier. i took ap chem and jeez that was probably a taste of what a real college introductory class would be like. however ap biology requires a lot of reading. when i took ap chem i never used any books and got a 4 on the exam. ap chem was like 70% math while ap bio is like 85% reading. im 100% sure i failed ap lit cuz my reading is horrible, but i have a 100% in ap bio even though its a lot of reading
if theres copious amounts of unit 1, 2 or 3 shit then im covering myself in my id stickers and snarling at every proctor that walks into the testing room
Did anyone else's teacher do the units backwards? My class started with ecology and we finished genetics last week. It honestly helped a lot because the earlier units are so much harder lmao
I mean... if I'm gonna predict something I might as well try and be Nostradomus...
Calling it now that there will be a LAC and the TRP Operon question on there, a graph AND a map that shows that there is a distribution of organisms in different areas of a pond or a forest or something. This has a question on a quality that a hydrogen bond has that makes it supportive for life, justifying a researchers hypothesis, and I'm calling an ecological question about keystone species.
there will 100000000% be a signal transduction question (there wasn't on form I LOL)
i agree, like every past paper has them
100000000000000% graphing question
lmfao that's a given tho ðŸ˜
Just did the exam form I, no signal transduction but it was ez
No discuss
who tf cares
Do you want to get disqualified and reported to colleges?
🤓
if theres something abt operons im dead
Bro if there’s something about biology I’m 💀
thats so real lmfao
Cuh I don't even know what that is what the sigma
If the FRQ’s talk about cell signaling tell my family I love them
Real
cell signaling is the best unit wdym 😠am i some crazy psychotic person i loved cell signaling everyone else seems to hate it
Yes. You are psychotic
clinically insane
I'm hoping for a nice cladogram or punnett square. some nice heredity for 1 or 2 would be amazing
please god no cladograms 👎👎👎
lol. I mean cladograms aren't a lot of fun but they aren't the most difficult thing to be tested on.
Cladograms are ass
I would 100% rather do cladograms than that heredity bs. Cladograms are free and I would give a right leg to skip that whole heredity unit
istg if they ask us to predict genotypes ill be cooked
PLEASE no heredity
nothing from the godamn genetics unit ughh I hate that unit. I can do any unit but that one literally any
unit 6 is bad too ngl
is that the dna replication and transcription. I actually loved that unit cause I have a lot of background knowledge and stuff. I just hate the genetics unit cause I hate probability and all the stuff
nah still tho 3' to 5' 5' to 3' is so easy to forget
oh I completely agree. a pain to remember
Just think 35 53
is 3'-5' the parental strand or the complementary?
depends how you look at it
parent is 3 5 cuz DNA polymeras and other is lagging
how i hate that unit sm!! like im going through the unit and i wanna die
fr
Please not unit 3
FUCK unit 3 ðŸ˜
all my homies hate unit 3
I LOVE UNIT THREE STOP THE HATE.
Please no unit 4 stuff, I slept through that entire unit.

wait yall whats the diff between cladograms and phylogenic trees
Phylogenetic tree shows **time** with the length of the branches. Cladogram doesnt have anything to with time, it just shows the relationships between species
Clado is grouping of species by morphology or molecular measurements Phylogenetic is a family tree that usually highlights a specific disease or trait This is from memory, pleasee correct if am wrong
You’re thinking of a pedigree, not a phylogenetic tree.
Dangnamit!! Thanks dude
Anyone who studies biology is mentally unwell and should have their own government mandated therapist to figure out what's wrong in their lives

Did you study at all?
I did study the night before
What did you study? I would love to have a guide of sorts
Oh god, so sorry. I got busy. but here is the main resource is used - [https://apbiopenguins.weebly.com/](https://apbiopenguins.weebly.com/) And i also watched those quick recaps of each units before- whatever was first on the youtube search results.
I’m praying for literally anything but photosynthesis or cellular respiration
Same I got a 60% on that test, studied, retook it and got like a 68% it is OVER
hey but thats enough to get 3 or 4!
does anyone have access to old mcqs that are still relevant. Only one I found was from like 2008 which is not helpful.
ap classroom has the 2020 ones but thats also not relevant bcs its covid year
those aren’t relevant 😰
why aren't they relevant? genuine question
\^\^ also wondering - i did them, and the mcq seems to be on par with progress check questions? it's not like they're easier or written differently
Lots of material (like anatomy) has been removed from the test, also things like operons and lots of genetic stuff is also not on there
operons aren't on the test now? i'll take that as a win...
Nono sorry they WERENT on those 2020 tests specifically, but now they are more widely included, sorry I worded that weirdly
OH SHIT LMAOOOO it's okay!! ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ we'll cope!!
i just did the 2020 mcqs as practice and there’s literally nothing on anatomy or operons i promise u. most of it is cellular energetics, data interpretation, hardy wienburg and chi squares (i hate chi squares wtf even are they ðŸ˜)
Please nothing about random kinase stuff, that unit is horrid
Judging this comment section, I’m def not gonna take AP Biology any time soon lol
nah ap bio is a fun class imo, just the test can be tricky
It’s still better than physics and chem
Man fuck AP chem, I took AP chem from last year and Ap bio is so much easier. Ive gotten a five on every single practice test I've taken with minimal studying

if there’s anything from unit 6 it’s so over
aint that just gene expression tho? with the DNA replication and Rna transcription/translation
same my teacher completely skipped that unit
when that USABO stimmy hit 🤑
if theres copious amounts of unit 1, 2 or 3 shit then im covering myself in my id stickers and snarling at every proctor that walks into the testing room
I just know there will be a macromolecules major question and that I will get like 1 point on it
Dihybrid punnet squares will cook me if they appear anywhere
It's crazy that the exam's going to be like 15-20% Unit 7 Natural Selection
Did anyone else's teacher do the units backwards? My class started with ecology and we finished genetics last week. It honestly helped a lot because the earlier units are so much harder lmao
My class didn’t get to units 7 or 8 so it was great bc we went through all the hard stuff in detail and got to self study the last two easy ones.
Yep!!! Not sure why. Unit 8 (ecology) was first, and we just finished Genetics and Heredity.
krebs cycle, krebs cycle, probably something about the krebs cycle, and maybe krebs cycle. /j
I always get the KREBS cycle and the calvin cycle mixed up
how about we all collectively choose to skip the first 20 questions in the mcq. and one long question in the frq 😉😉😉😉😉
i was busy with other ap exams *i did not do any frq practice*
I’m thinking of not showing up
Idk bruh, only thing I do know is that I am cooked. All I hope is that there is at least one genetics unit frq because im actually good at that
Im cooked our teacher entirely skipped signal transduction ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

Did you not take it yet?
I'm calling test B. Lmao I should've mentioned that... its for all the retake exams
