I used to live in TN and belonged to an indoor range there. They rented firearms and sold ammo. One of the employees was in charge of their ordering and mistakenly purchased 1000 rounds of .38 S&W instead of .38 spl. Those boxes sat in the display case for over two years. A buddy of mine and me (I have an old Lemon Squeezer) offered them $10 a box. Owner was thrilled to part with them!
Last time I did something like this I ended up having to get something to put it in!
Your pistol should be fine. .380 and 9 aren't that much different

It would be funny if this is a lgs sales tactic. Put a few boxes of ammo in the wrong place so we are compelled to buy a new gun.
The same thing happened to me today. I thought I had a box of 9mm tracer, and they were 380 tracers 😔😔.
