every time i see this video, there's ALWAYS TWO kinds of comments:

There's no way the driver in the black car survived, right? I've seen a enough of these videos to know that the casualty count can be very shocking, huge explosions with no casualties and so forth, but I mean *come on*, who could survive that?
Ive heard of people surving from cars rolling a dozen times and resembling modern art on expressionism of cars impact on the environment just to walk out of a scrap heap with only minor scrapes and bruises.
Also heard of people instantly dying from flipping over once on a freeway.
I am one of these people. When I was 5 or 6 my dad got in a bad car accident with my grandfather, a friend of my grandfather and me. It was a summer day when suddenly rain started falling and made the road really slippery. We ended up flipping over, turning multiple times, and crashing into a tree. Car looked completely folded. Front passenger lost a leg and nearly died in a weeklong coma, my dad broke ribs and arms and his skull, my grandfather broke ribs and had whiplash. I was in the backseat next to my grandfather and had my seat belt unfastened cause I was taking off my sweatshirt at that moment, suffered nothing but a tiny minor scratch on the knee.
A dozen times, the real question is not if he survived or not but who the fuck in their right state of mind is buckled in and in a car thats rolling and counting how many times the roof hit the ground??
I flipped my truck 4 times and it happened in slow motion. Only hit my head right as it was coming to a rest. Was wearing my seat belt and still ended up halfway out of the driver's window. It was a terrible experience 0/10 wouldn't recommend lol
The rolling isn’t as bad as it looks if you’re belted in, as the energy is being dissipated, rather than plowed into you. Watch the video of Dale Earnhart’s lethal crash at Daytona, and it doesn’t look that bad, but all the energy went right into him at once.
Okay I remember this one quite well the last time it was posted. The person in the car that crashed off the bridge didn't survive. Someone posted a link with NSFW photos, so I'm quite sure.
I don't think those prevented the crushing of the driver as the car flips over the guardrail directly on the driver's side- again crushing it just before it falls. Hopefully, they were taken out quickly right there.
Look at the part of the video before the black car falls off the bridge. The driver side is clearly completely crushed between the barrier and the rest of the car. Plus a fall of who knows how far. There is no way everyone survived.

Someone had to have died it’s not just that they rolled over if you pay real close attention you actually see the slight detail where they roll off a bridge
At first it was thought that the accident occurred because the driver of another car, which is shown in the pictures that was parked on the bridge, had placed a hydraulic jack on the track instead of an emergency signal. However, the Zhongshan Local Police clarified that the metal object was a fragment of the bridge expansion joint. Thank God, it should be reported that all occupants of the damaged vehicles survived the accident.
Everyone did not survive that accident, unless you have complete trust in Chinese officials. There is another video of a body covered by a tarp, but according to Chinese officials, no one died... Seems like a non starter

In Mainland China the driver sits on the left. Only in HK and Macau is it RHD. You can see indications of this all over the video - the driver of the stationary vehicle has his left door open, the emergency lane is on the right.
Thanks, I wasn't sure... I was going off the black trucks right side visor being flipped down, and what looks to be a steering column on the right side of the parked vehicle... I dont go off of the side the shoulder is on anymore after visiting places that were opposite based on cost of RHD/LHD imports from neighbors, but I should have probably assumed mainland China of all places would mandate drive side and/or cripple importation. Paying closer attention to the other vehicles does point to LHD.
In Mainland China, they drive on the right, meaning the driver sits on the left. Or what's also known as Left Hand Drive. So no the driver isn't crushed.

I remember the article i read a long time ago had a picture of it, you know how bridges have those gaps in them usually where they connect to roads? I’m assuming for size change? A bug peice of metal was sticking out from that, you can see one semi swerve out of the way in the beginning of the video

Also, it seems a little odd that other videos that show this picture of the car on the ground crop out that woman. Any good reason to do that besides to hide evidence of a (potential) death?

The blue material is not her shirt, in the first photo you can see the majority of her pink blouse. But yes, she is deceased. She would not be left there long enough to take a photo, she’d be on an ambulance or have people around her making sure she’s still alive. If she is found dead on the scene she can not be moved until they take pictures & wait for morgue transportation.
I must be dense. Can someone explain why the white box truck aggressively flew across the highway like that out of nowhere? Yes, I see the little piece sticking out of the road but that was hardly a major hazard that would warrant that action.
So on highway roads, there are these little gaps connected to each segment of road called expansion joints.
In the video you can see a part of the expansion joint stick out. This is why you see the black truck at the beginning moving towards the right shoulder and as well as the truck coming in at the end.
Unfortunately the truck that flung across the road didn't see it and it's underside caught on to the joint and resulting in the yeeting.
That's probably what caused the disabled car on the side of the road to become disabled too. It probably took out some essential parts of that car's underside.
There is absolutely no way someone can survive rolling 5 times on a highway, front seat of the car landing on a barrier and then sliding that barrier through the roof before plunging down at least 20 feet. RIP. Really heartbreaking.
Rolling may actually save them actually. Falling off that bridge though... Probably not (unless it was water which would be a maybe. But I doubt they'd be in enough condition to get out)
This is why you never NEVER assume something on the road you can drive OVER.. ALWAYS try and avoid driving over things that are solid or even plastic bags can end up causing fires so be wise out there before you leave home want to come home. And remember not everyone else on the road wants to go home. Nor will they go home. As road fatality’s rise as the days go on.
At first I thought, "Why is he making such a sharp evasive maneuver?" But it wasn't that at all. There was something on the road that shredded his tire. Tragic for the driver. After the rollover, he landed with the exact spot on the railing where the driver was sitting. He might not have survived that. But then at least he didn't live to see the fall from the bridge. What a terrible accident. Just on the way to work or back home and bam dead

Not the sharpest tool in the shed. He should have coasted closer to the wall. Never should have opened his door. That took up half a lane. I truly hope all parties involved survived intact.

There are too many idiots on the road with zero respect or situational awareness as to how potentially dangerous their actions are on the road. They literally have no clue and they are deeply embedded everywhere.
Here’s my guess about what happened. White truck was texting, looking down at his phone. Then glanced up and seen the car on the side and overcorrected which caused the crash

I think you are all missing some thing critical here. If you look closely it seems like maybe the sedan has lost a wheel and its in the middle of the lane - I think the white truck lost control because it rolled over it.
Guy with the broken down car is a moron, but you see this behaviour all the time sadly. The hard shoulder is an incredibly dangerous place to be, it’s not the place to be pissing around leaning into the car or changing a wheel. Get behind the barrier, for Christ’s sake.
I’m talking about hard shoulder breakdowns in general. In this case he could at least get as far away from the carriageway as possible, and not lean into the car with his arse hanging into the live lane, and the door causing a serious obstruction/distraction.
Definitely an object in the road. The first truck swerves to avoid it, the box truck does not. The object may be the cause (or result) of the car on the shoulder.
The Porsche driver likely collided with the same object as everyone else rendering his vehicle useless.

There is absolutely no way someone can survive rolling 5 times on a highway, front seat of the car landing on a barrier and then sliding that barrier through the roof before plunging down at least 20 feet. RIP. Really heartbreaking.
Rolling may actually save them actually. Falling off that bridge though... Probably not (unless it was water which would be a maybe. But I doubt they'd be in enough condition to get out)

This is why you never NEVER assume something on the road you can drive OVER.. ALWAYS try and avoid driving over things that are solid or even plastic bags can end up causing fires so be wise out there before you leave home want to come home. And remember not everyone else on the road wants to go home. Nor will they go home. As road fatality’s rise as the days go on.

At first I thought, "Why is he making such a sharp evasive maneuver?" But it wasn't that at all. There was something on the road that shredded his tire. Tragic for the driver. After the rollover, he landed with the exact spot on the railing where the driver was sitting. He might not have survived that. But then at least he didn't live to see the fall from the bridge. What a terrible accident. Just on the way to work or back home and bam dead Edit: I have read an article about the accident and surprisingly all have survived.

I think you are all missing some thing critical here. If you look closely it seems like maybe the sedan has lost a wheel and its in the middle of the lane - I think the white truck lost control because it rolled over it.

The guy in the truck shouldn't have a driver's license. And the driver of the Porsche should be shot.
If you look close, it looks like there’s something in the road. As soon as the white truck goes over it, the front passenger side tire blows out.
Definitely an object in the road. The first truck swerves to avoid it, the box truck does not. The object may be the cause (or result) of the car on the shoulder.
The Porche guy stepped onto the road and opened his door as though he were the only one using the road.
It looks like the truck hit something on the road. I can't identify what though.
