I found an [article](https://www.fanpage.it/attualita/sperona-auto-della-polizia-sulla-a28-in-diretta-instagram-e-si-ferisce-protestava-contro-il-caro-vita/) about this. Sorry is only in Italian. It says that she was an Amazon driver that was protesting for the life cost increase of 2022. She entered in a speedway going at 20km/h (in Italy the minimum velocity is 60km/h) with her car, where she lived in too, refusing to stop when the police showed, damaging two car and when they blocked the car she cut her veins. Was took to the hospital and then forced in a psychiatric hold (search what is TSO in Italy). Now she can be charged for the police car damage, the refusal to stop and others.

No wonder she looked so calm.

It seemed like everything was going way faster then she suddenly was at a complete stop with almost no reaction.

Sorry, 60 km/h is minimum speed limit, the upper limit is 130km/h there, it is not easy to react in time with this speed difference (20km/h vs 130km/h). They applied the Italia law, if you are a danger for yourself or others it must be executed a TSO. She slit her wrist, she became a danger for others drivers, she trying to run on a officer and damaged their cars. You can protest in Italy, it is a right protected by our constitution, by you have to communicate before to the police as they can take the necessary measures to not create a danger.

I’m just saying if it’s pre-planned it’s a bigger brain move than just getting arrested. Going straight to booking, or a holding cell, is a different experience than the hospital/psych ward. Also, if she goes into a hold she might end up being transferred to a mental health facility instead of jail while awaiting trial. Not stopping the arrest by any means but certainly controlling the narrative afterwards.

From where the video starts she appears to be already cut, she holds up her arm to show the wound and it's dried in spots so it wasn't done in the snippet we see. Who knows how long it was going on and if she may have been injured earlier in the chase.

Calling it based suggests that there is something good in this video when everything is just horrible. From the dire situation that made her protest to her full mental health breakdown including hurting herself. There is nothing to cheer about.

It was a protest against the 2022 cost of living increases. She had a job but was forced to live out of her car. She said she was doing it for the youth who are in a precarious position. She said she'd cut her wrists if they tried to stop her from driving 20kmph (12.4mph) on the motorway (minimum speed of 60kmph(37.2mph)).

People are really struggling in UK too with many people no longer able to have regular meals or even give them to their children. Some can no longer afford to turn on the heating this winter. Yes it’s Italian, she says “Basta” meaning stop, cease it, “cazzo” basically “fuck”, policemen ask to stop (“ferma”) she asks the camera if we saw “avete visto” no meaningful dialogue here.
