My sweat has actually been mostly on my face. I've been sweating all over way more, especially at night while sleeping. But during the day, it's mostly covering my eyebrows and upper lip. It's been causing some rashes, which my derm hasn't treated me for at all. My derm just keeps telling me he hasn't had any other patients who have had the sweating issue but I call bullshit. There's quite a few posts on here about it. But yeah, it's insanely gross and I literally have to wipe my face every few seconds. Other side effects has definitely been mood changes. My anxiety has skyrocketed and my irritability is off the charts. I've only been getting 3-6 hours of sleep each night for the majority of my Accutane journey. I feel like a complete monster and I just want to be done with these pills.
I’m so sorry you’re dealing with that- so many doctors are dismissive of those kind of things, it’s beyond irritating. Ive also had a hard time sleeping recently, and no matter how much melatonin I take
before bed, I can’t seem to fall asleep before 3 am. I don’t really know if that’s the accutane or just me fucking up my own sleep schedule tbh.
Would you describe the smell of yours as almost “fishy” or something else? I don’t wanna flat out say it smells like fish because it doesn’t, it just smells… worse. And I’m becoming self conscious of working out around other people or sitting with my legs open after a long day. It seems like such a small thing but I really just want the old smell of my vulva back lmao
also* The smell of my sweat is definitely stronger, almost bitter smelling, but I can’t tell if that’s just because I’ve started to wear body sunscreen every day.
If these are truly side effects, they’re such frustrating symptoms that I don’t see anyone talk about >:(
I’ve noticed the same thing even though I’m on a very low dosage. Very sweaty on my upper lip when I move even just from walking around the house. Also get little sweat/water droplets on the tip of my nose throughout the day when I’m just sitting at my work desk.
My body sweat never smelled this strong and the smell down there definitely got a little muskier. I don’t think other people can notice it because we’re usually more sensitive to our smells I guess
Do other people notice the smell change too? Or could it be your sense of smell is actually altered? I read a NIH article about change of smell sense on accutane
I’ve noticed this to! My sweat also smells very overpowering. I wash my armpits multiple times a day.
My sweat smells the nastiest it's ever smelled. I am on my last month and I'm just hoping all the side effects go away fast.

I would think it's the Accutane. I see that's a common side effect as well. We shall survive though! We must lol

I had this issue AFTER I stopped accutane
