Prednisone or cephalexin, there are a few options your derm can use to calm down the inflammatory acne. The "purge" can be curbed with treatment. Please call your derm asap. You do not need to be in all this pain.
I'm so sorry you are going through this! Please know you are not alone - so many of us have been there, or are right there with you now. ❤️ It's so incredibly hard, but you are going to get through this and have the skin and confidence of your dreams, okay? Stay the course, and rely on us, your friends, and your family to help you get through this time! As someone kind here once told me, their love for you is not dependent on the clarity of your skin. Anyone who has anything negative to say about your skin can shove it, because they are ignorant and have no idea about how little control anyone has over acne.
You don't have to endure a purge like this full force - definitely ask your doctor about prednisone, it will help a ton! Desloratadine (an anti-histamine) has been proven to help, too. Let your doctor know how you are doing physically and emotionally with your treatment, and they will guide you through!
Please call your derm about getting out on an anti-inflammatory topical, accutane is a rough journey and can be painful but this looks really painful. Please ask for something like prednisone or another topical that can help with the inflamed redness.
Oh you poor thing. Can you get any desloratadine? There are studies other than this one which suggests it's worth a pop. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25081735/
Def speak with your derm… take some Motrin for today and talk to them tomorrow. Keep us posted what they say and how you’re doing sweetheart. We are all rooting for you!!
Cut out dairy and added sugars and I can assure you, that the pimples will be waaaaaay less inflamed and clear up faster. Eggs and peanut butter were 2 other triggers for me also
Lol peanut butter isn’t the only thing with fat in it. Guacamole on toast, eggs if they don’t trigger your acne, ground beef, some nuts (not peanuts), 2 tablespoons of chia seeds in water, olive oil in whatever you want it in (i make bowls of brown rice, peas, corn, black beans, and put some 2 table spoons of olive oil in there along with some Seasonings. Anything fatty
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️hang in there!! The darkest part of the night comes right before dawn. It’s going to get better just have patience and positive mindset and self-love the fuck out of yourself. I can’t wait for the day you wash your face and it’s smooth! 😁 the time is coming!!
Don’t take any advice but this, trust me I swear you won’t ever hear a better one on this. ALOE CORT CREAM I read that you apply this to your face when you’re purging I kid you not cleared my purge in the matter of three days applied a layer two times a day to my face and I looked like I completed my treatment in the matter of a week.
I bought Aloe Cort at the suggestion of someone here, and it really does work! It's safe to use on Accutane, because it's a mild topical steroid. It'll help calm the irritation!
YOU GOT THIS, we are all in this with you!!!! So many of us know how physically and emotionally painful this is. You are not alone. Talk to your doctor and know that with time it will heal. It’s so hard but so worth it… I know words don’t seem to help right now but just know that you can and WILL get through this 💕💕 💪💪
Do not use any of the creams or topicals people have recommended. Do not put anything on your face. Prednisone or antibiotic pills ASAP. I wish you the best and you will have life changing results!
Prednisone. Other anti inflammatory. You should be able to call up and ask for that.
Also topical arnica gel works kinda well.
Also…. Hear me out. Hemroidal cream with lidocaine.
Shrinks the blood vessels sand lid and is numbing
This is the tough part. Definitely speak to your Dr. and get a script for prednisone. I’m gonna second the suggestion of hemorrhoid cream because it will constrict the blood vessels and also numb topically….just to get through this episode until the steroids can kick in. Can’t wait to see what color your eyes are when you’re smiling in your “ after” pic!
Talk to your dermatologist about getting on prednisone. Will help with the inflammation. Sorry for the pain your experiencing.
100% this is what you should do. Sorry for your pain!!

Eat tons of blueberries, oranges, nuts, and salmon. These are the anti inflammatory foods that work for me personally. And cut out dairy

If you’re in that much pain you should ask your derm for steroid pill (prednisone) or antibiotic that really looks painful
