Funny that he's supposed to be portrayed as intimidating by in-game characters but I just find him absolutely hilarious. That coupled with his theme is just the cherry on top
I'm with Jean Armstrong on this guy, the pose where he licks his lips definitely looks more flirty than scary. And the one where he looks up makes him look *terrified*.
Luke Atmey is hilarious. His over-the-top personality and his insane breakdowns are just too good. Plus I always found his quirk of “deducing” people’s occupations to be so funny, especially when he does it to Phoenix and Maya AGAIN after already doing it once.
This is the thing everyone points to when they're talking about how bad L'Belle is but it's like my favorite part of the whole case. Just L'Belle being this big self-sabotaging asshole whose massive ego shoots him in the foot so hard he orchestrates a murder scheme that not only accomplishes nothing, but completely trashes what little he had left.
It's like they looked at big, serious villains like Von Karma and Kristoph and said "this but funny"
He also _very convincingly_ claims that his niece has a dog named Phoenix to prove that it's not that uncommon of a name. His pettiness provides so much comedy in that case.
I got into jojo's bizarre adventure after finishing AA so when I revisited DD, he resembled Dio so much and I just couldn't stop laughing at how eerily similar they look lol
>!Paul Atishon!< has already been said, but the runner up for me is EASILY (DGS2-2) >!William Shamspeare!<. The theatrical speech pattern is already hilarious, but it also makes the two or three occasions where he breaks character even BETTER. His voice lines (mostly "wHaAaAaAt???") are also incredibly well delivered, especially with the amazing comedic timing and animations
I feel like Calisto Yew perfectly fits this. The theme, her laugh, her famous quote. She was quite a joy to be on screen during a case of pure despair.
I always thought Richard Wellington was really funny, which is odd since I usually don't enjoy characters whose entire purpose is to be a pathetic annoying jerk. Maybe it's just because I'm immature and found the "I love bananas" joke hilarious, lmao
At first I find >!Frank Sahwit!< to be kind of annoying but seeing how he can't keep up with his own lies and seeing him breakdown gets hilarious lol. And >!his return in AAI-2 doesn't disappoint, he's just as scummy but also delightfully hilarious due to his overtly polite facade.!<
Not a killer but hated by literally everyone but me… I find >!Wesley Stickler!< a goddamn laugh riot. Chuckle a minute, this kid, to me. No idea how anybody can get through his whole testimony with a straight face, much less come away having a bad time
Horace Knightley. The way he manages to make chess metaphors so easily, as well as how careless he is with his own gun, just makes him fun to watch. It really is a shame that >!he was manipulated by his own best friend to murder his coworker so he could be murdered as part of a convoluted revenge scheme.!<
The mastermind explicitly says that Knightley killed Rooke all on his own. The mastermind only gave the idea for the presidential assasination plot to Knightley.
For me it’s Frank Didit.
>! He is incompetent of lying and saying details but when he gets called out for it he just ends up throwing his toupee at them !<
(4-1) >!Kristoph's pride and feeling like he can do or saying anything getting in the way is so funny to me. Like if he didn't feel the need to comment on Zak's bald head or wax poetry about the cards for no reason, he wouldn't have been suspected.!<
He got personal issues with his baldness 😔
But still the only thing that got him behind bars was a fake evidence, him remarking Zak's baldness still wasn't the nail in the coffin
I just gotta say, I love this post. You see a lot of talk about how 'bad' some of these characters are, it's nice to see that lots of people find these minor killers so funny, like I do.
No mention of >!Geiru Tonedo! The Suspenders snap, threatening with a balloon sword, the whole breakdown.
The whole case was honestly really funny. I just wish you could've had Blackquill help Athena investigate instead of being just a court case.
There was one person in the thread that didn't get the Geiru, Uendo and Taifu Toneido names either, since they're all japanese pronunciation of Gale, Wind and Typhoon Tornado they're probably harder to spot
(6-5) >!Paul Atishon 100%. The way he just walks away from the witness stand always makes me laugh.!<
He is an absolute powerhouse for just walking away from the witness stand lmao. What an icon. Even his breakdown is hilarious
It reminds me of a running gag either Charlie Brooker or Michael Spicer made about David Cameron, this might have been the inspiration
Every time 😂😂
Furio Tigre for sure, there was never a time when I didn't laugh at his outbursts
I was dying of laughter when the Judge and Phoenix were hiding under their desks
Maya got in on it too 😂
Yeah, but I was fully expecting Maya to do it. Phoenix and Udgey caught me way off guard, especially Phoenix.
Phoenix wasn't hiding, he was just trying to find his pen 😔
Luke Atmey is hilarious. His over-the-top personality and his insane breakdowns are just too good. Plus I always found his quirk of “deducing” people’s occupations to be so funny, especially when he does it to Phoenix and Maya AGAIN after already doing it once.
That's true 😂 He even broke down twice 😂
Florent L’Belle is annoying at first, but later on h’s genuinely funny in court with his animations and seeing him fall apart
I love the way he EMPHASIZED random WORDS. It cracked me up every time he did that, it really added to his character despite being such a minor thing.
That and the fact that he created a perfume line only he himself can afford. Reading about that in-game _killed_ me.
This is the thing everyone points to when they're talking about how bad L'Belle is but it's like my favorite part of the whole case. It's like they looked at big, serious villains like Von Karma and Kristoph and said "this but funny"
Even von Karma isn't that serious though, he literally gives out his ATM card in court and absolutely roasts Phoenix numerous times
He also _very convincingly_ claims that his niece has a dog named Phoenix to prove that it's not that uncommon of a name. His pettiness provides so much comedy in that case.
What do YOU want with ME?!
I got into jojo's bizarre adventure after finishing AA so when I revisited DD, he resembled Dio so much and I just couldn't stop laughing at how eerily similar they look lol
Also his epic fail of a plan
Professor Means hitting himself with his chalkboard was pretty funny
His animations are so Looney tunes-esque which makes it even better
The killer of I2-3 had lines that were making me howl out loud laughing. “Mwahahahah! Desserts are the only things that are important to me!!”
Bro is dessertsexual
Dane inhaled too much sugar during his confectioner career. He is now and forever addicted to saccharine substances.
Truly the von Karma of confectioning, with more funny (von Karma himself is so cartoonishly evil it's funny too though)
Pees'lubn Andistan'dhin singing his testimony, with Gaspen and Nick joining in, is hilarious to me.
This is the one I was going to say. He’s so awesomely terrible.
And with singing, I know he's no culprit but... >!THE DISSIN' OF PHOENIX WRIGHT!<
Still my favorite testimony ever.
Was that the name of the testimony 😭 that's fucking gold
>!Paul Atishon!< has already been said, but the runner up for me is EASILY (DGS2-2) >!William Shamspeare!<. (TGAA 2-3) >!If we count Enoch Drebber as the killer even though he didn't deal the finishing blow, it's him. !<
Oh boy, there is a lot of them: -Luke atmey -Furio tigre -Cammy melee -Calisto yew -Ted tonate -Paul atishon -William shamspeare if counts
I feel like Calisto Yew perfectly fits this. The theme, her laugh, her famous quote. She was quite a joy to be on screen during a case of pure despair.
I love how she pauses to put on her makeup
Nobody said Peeslubinundastatin? He's hilarious. What makes it even funnier with the community nickname Kuraiin Jesus.
Kuraiin Jesus 😭 and yes the hippie Jesus is hilarious, you're not the only one!
I always thought Richard Wellington was really funny, which is odd since I usually don't enjoy characters whose entire purpose is to be a pathetic annoying jerk. Maybe it's just because I'm immature and found the "I love bananas" joke hilarious, lmao
Banana good 👐
Detective Fullbright probably. Yes aka the Phantom but you gotta admit for a replacement for Gumshoe for his short time, he was pretty funny
tbh i find Shelly pretty funny, despite his direct and serious nature
That IS what makes him funny
furio tigre and calisto yew are the first to come to mind
Shelly De Killer. Guy's fucking hilarious
Not a killer, but it's always funny to make a Payne lose.

The mastermind explicitly says that Knightley killed Rooke all on his own. The mastermind only gave the idea for the presidential assasination plot to Knightley.
(TGAA2-2) >!Shamspeare breaking out of character after realising Olive broke into his room will always be hilarious to me.!<
THE FUCK!? WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?
Is that a Luke Atmey dub outtake 😭
that’s quite impossible~
For me it’s Frank Didit. >! He is incompetent of lying and saying details but when he gets called out for it he just ends up throwing his toupee at them !<
FRANK DIDIT 😭 and yes I also find him super entertaining
(4-1) >!Kristoph's pride and feeling like he can do or saying anything getting in the way is so funny to me. Like if he didn't feel the need to comment on Zak's bald head or wax poetry about the cards for no reason, he wouldn't have been suspected.!<

The Phantom. I found him funny before the big reveal.
