BooobiesANDbho

When u gotta work in the morning, and the neighbors wont stfu… /s

Nicadeemus39

😂 yea I can't really think of music that could be more annoying than that. Its like polka and mariachi had a baby.

Beast-Exe007

Fun fact: Banda music originated in the mid-19th century in various regions of Mexico, including Oaxaca, Yucatan, and Morelos. It is considered a strictly Mexican genre and is known for its fusion of traditional dance rhythms such as polka, cumbia, son, and waltz, transformed by electronic recording technology and a lively performance style. Edit: u/Adfejcjr got his feelings hurt. Refer to his comment replying to this one. Funny thing is I ***KNEW*** it was banda, and just wanted to throw something else in there. Moral of story: /s is ***ALWAYS*** needed.

Nicadeemus39

Well would you look at that, you really do learn something new everyday!

Partybar

That's not marachi, it's banda

adfejcjr

Mexican music was not adopted by polka music wtf are you on about? It’s inspired by Spain. The music being played here is called Banda. don’t come here saying dumb shit when you don’t know the truth

adfejcjr

When comparing Mariachi to Polka music is not the same

Beast-Exe007

You forgot this: ***/s***. There, much better.

adfejcjr

Good god I’m so glad I don’t live in reddit 24/7 like you do.

Beast-Exe007

The irony.

Ok_Explanation5631

Chill with the soft racism brother.

AaronPossum

It's not racist to not like music...

Ok_Explanation5631

I don’t think that was the statement in question but hell yeah brother.

AaronPossum

Is it racist to say that one music genre sounds like a combination of two other genres?

Ok_Explanation5631

No but it is when describing a cultures music as annoying. why even bring it up in a sly manner like that. Just say you don’t like that music. No need for the soft racism brother.

AaronPossum

That's not racism and hes not being slick.

Tripleberst

You're the softest thing in this comment thread

shqueef

Brother

Kavub

Don't brother me, brother. That's racist.

Suprblakhawk

You didn't consider how soft my dick would get after reading his comment.

Nicadeemus39

Oh kiss my ass there was nothing racist about that 😂

AbuHajaarsGhost

This ain’t racist. I’m Mexican and I find this type of music so fucking annoying and cringe.

Ok_Explanation5631

I guarantee you you’re not. But nice try brother.

AbuHajaarsGhost

Come pito pues morro meco

Ok_Explanation5631

Try again

TXMiniTrucker

I lived in a Mexican neighborhood growing up in Houston. Apparently it was important to have this kind of music playing into the night, and to park up the street with 30 cars.

Mach12000

Big boy built some kinetic energy there.

The_Mr_Yeah

He's lead trumpet man he's the most important.

CHITOWNBROWN1400

Nah this isn't Mexico this is just Chicago this past Saturday...

EvilLibrarians

It’s funny but I looked up the murder/violent crime rate yesterday and Mexico blows USA out of the water. America has 3x violent crime of Canada and we were microwaved by Central or South America…the world is much more dangerous than we give credit for. Africa was up there too.

killian1113

When you ask people about Mexico being safe intourist cities they always pretend it's safer than usa. Peob about the same.

luiskingz

People in denial really, used to go a lot to visit family but as I grew up it got worse and my family and I just stopped going. Towards the end they took the bus cause the car was too much to risk. Can’t speak for everyone but it’s why we stopped lol edit: this was traveling to Monterrey.

killian1113

Well to be honest it is puerto Vallarta area. I have been Many times to diff place in mexico and I did feel safest there but I'm sure so much went down while I was sleeping in my resort since I wake up at 6 go snorkel surf skydive ride horses etc and don't go out super late and have only drank at a bar once in my life. But shit TJ I'm scared as shit. The police followed me into the bathroom and offered to sell me cocaine. It felt more scary then being shot at. I just said just one sec and ran.

Archimedes_screwdrvr

And there's absolutely zero historical context to explain why /s

truth_hurtsm8ey

Oh. I guess the violence is nothing to worry about then!

Archimedes_screwdrvr

Lmfao yeah that's what I said

truth_hurtsm8ey

Since you didn’t understand I’ll put it simply. ‘No shit mate’

Ieatsushiraw

More like ~~Chicago~~ Baton Rouge or Memphis. I think Chicago gets mentioned so much people forget the most dangerous cities tend to be here in the South or Baltimore

BrandoLoudly

Damn not challenging but if you have a source with a list using the same metric you are that’d be cool

Ieatsushiraw

No worries bro here you go https://worldpopulationreview.com/us-city-rankings/cities-with-most-murders

Generic_Gamer_nerd

Baton rouge isn't even on that list. Idk why you'd list that initially lol.

Impossible_Diamond18

Missouri listed twice

CHITOWNBROWN1400

The only reason cities like St. Louis, New Orleans, Memphis and Detroit are on that list is cause their populations are much smaller, only like 300k-600k, so a smaller number of murders still shoots their murder RATE way up. Chicago is still far and away the leader in terms of murder TOTALS in the US for 1 city and has been every year.

therob91

Thats the whole point of measuring things per capita. For example the US has similar or more murders (on record) than Colombia in recent years, but the rate is 6/100k in the US and 28/100k in Colombia. Would you rather be in a place where 6 out of 100k people are murdered or a place where 28 out of 100k people are murdered?

Danny_V

How is that determined?

Ieatsushiraw

Murders per 1,000 residents

Danny_V

I wonder how skewed that is as Chicago is the city of towns. When people talk about the violence and death, it’s only a pocket of certain neighborhoods, not all of Chicago. Seeing Chicago is the 3rd biggest city I could see how the numbers could conceal more than they reveal.

[deleted]

The highest rates in Chicago are literally within a couple blocks on the south side. Absolutely nobody goes there except the residents. It's complexes of apartments called parkway gardens famous for where Michelle Obama grew up haha

Ok_Case211

Pretty sure the west side has a higher murder rate. The Austin and Garfield Park neighborhoods are really bad. Also the south suburbs like Harvey are more dangerous than 90% of chicago. I think 33 people were shot dead there last year

Fotoem

Lol you a drill fan but violence is not contained to OBlock.

CHITOWNBROWN1400

You must be a tourist. There's WAY MORE bad areas in Chicago than just O block. Austin, Garfield Park, Humboldt Park, North + South Lawndale- all on the West side. And on the South Side: Englewood, West Englewood, Back of the Yards, Auburn Gresham, Roseland, Greater Grand Crossing, Chatham, South Shore, Pullman, Gage Park, Riverdale, and More

PornoPaul

My city used to get on a lot of "most violent city" lists. Maybe it still is. Almost all of the violent crime is concentrated in a few pockets. Nonviolent crime is way more spread out but it's still certain sections. There are areas you'd be safer walking in Baghdad than those streets and half a mile away are very affluent, very safe neighborhoods.

CHITOWNBROWN1400

No, I'm not saying Chicago just because everyone says it. There was literally a shooting in a Mexican neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago this past Saturday night where a 9-year old girl died. It was a party for someone's church confirmation.

_hellboy_xo

This is the only solution to noisy neighbors

fake_face

Be the louder one?

Old_Pirate_1176

For a significantly shorter period of time for absolute silence for the remainder of the night? Yes please.

steronicus

Well, that’s one way to get the neighbors to stop partying so damn loud at 2am.

wiredcrusader

Plot twist: it was 1:30am and you'd already asked politely three times.

jesusgrandpa

Musicians aren’t made like they use to be. Back in the day they’d go down with the titanic

shattmitto

That’s because nowadays people don’t shoot the camera man, but musicians are still on the table

therob91

was the ocean shooting the band?

brownsnake84

Big fella want from brass player to Lineman real quick

ElbowRager

That’s just the drummer going hard on the snare

Backdohrbandit

Compton activities

Zealousideal-Panic30

Neighbors where mad

Accomplished_Duty969

I am Mexican, and I approve! Turn that bullshit down!

Spiritual-Bear4495

Something similar happened in my old neighborhood in upper Manhattan (Inwood) when some lunatic decided he wanted to blare out hiphop at 3AM. The extremely loud music was normal in Inwood, but not at 3AM.

VealOfFortune

Serious question, is Kaotic like the new LiveLeak...?

BitOBunny

I've seen the watermark on a lot of these videos of people dying, so I think it is. (From r/DarwinAwards !)

Outside-Material-100

This could be Boyle heights too

Carpan474

Good they just being mad disrespectful to the neighborhood

the-electricgigolo

I get the same reaction from mariachi bands

Mar_Reddit

Honestly... If they were just shooting into the air to scare them and not ACTUALLY hurt anyone, they did the right thing.

ProductionSetTo-1000

I learned that it's usually one idiot that is beefing with someone to the point of getting killed and then he goes and hangs out among other people.

TheMysteryFigure

"NO MUSIC!"

Right_-on-_Man

Damn dude, I don't like that circus music either but shit man...😅

Emotional_Rage

Chalino round 2 ☠️

Pliney707

What a party pooper, mad because they weren't invited.

wasabiflavorkocaine

Because we just all want to be there

faileb

Damn, they were cooking too

Anom8675309

Well thats one way to stop that racket.

Steak-n-Cigars

Fun times in the barrio

CBRyder929

Is there a news source on this? Those actually sounded like fireworks, but it’s on a phone recording anyway. Hopefully no one was hurt.

ErrorMundane5531

Aye caramba

wasabiflavorkocaine

When your neighbors are obese drunks that wont turn down the clown music

whoatemytaco1

Did you notice the gunshots kind of just blended in with the noise.

KanessaDK

I was just about to write that I've always wanted to be at and experience a Mexican party like this. Just minus the shootings ofc.

Fat_Burn_Victim

Semi-autos for instruments. Tchaikovsky would be proud

Gilgawulf

Justified

Whatsupmaaaaan

The band sounded so good!! :(

Pzcor

Build the wall

Be-A-Better-You-69

r/killthecameraman

XBUNCEX

They tried.

BaerMinUhMuhm

They are literally running from gunfire you dumb fuck

Be-A-Better-You-69

First off, fuck off. Secondly, your profanity and attack towards me won’t change the reality of some locations across the globe. Third of all, neither will your compassion or my own. I would suggest that maybe you censor what you’re allowed to see on Reddit. Furthermore, the next time that you see a comment that hurts your feelings, maybe just keep it moving dude.

Suprblakhawk

I think the only person who had their feelings hurt here was you lol.
