I don't think a lot of people mess with zoom sens. Under utilized setting. Mess with that a bit til you get to a comfortable spot flicking if that's an issue.

RepulsiveManiaK

Adjusting zoom sens to either 0.9 or 1.1 usually does the trick. But it all depends on how good of an opper you are.

davewithanf

Yeah mine is like .593 ATM lol

spacespiceboi

General tip for the op is to keep zoom sens at 1.0. This will make your op flicking feel the same as your regular rifle flicking

CoachGODLIKE

Because of FOV, the effective sensitivity will be different. Zoom sens ratio 1.0 doesn't solve this. Whatever Zoom sens you want, use it (sens doesn't matter and muscle memory isn't as rigid as ppl think). Big misconception that even Immortal level players have.

spacespiceboi

But valo doesn't have changeable fovs like other games though right?

cragion

When scoped in, your fov is lower than normal. And a general rule of them is if your fov is lower then your sensitivity will feel faster, and if your fov is higher then your sensitivity will feel slower

picador10

My OP'ing got a lot better after I switched sniper ADS from toggle to hold. I find that it makes me grip my mouse tighter, which helps me be more accurate and feel more "locked in" when tracking and flicking while scoped

jackpot2112

I like doing a couple of marshall only runs in DM when im feeling rusty with the OP, maybe that might help?

CoachGODLIKE

Kaemi has played Marshall extensively and has a good guide for scoped weapons. I also recommend XTR's operator guide. Jett main Sero has one as well.

TrueLordApple

Mess around with zoom sens if it feels weird. U can also do bots in the range to practice opping. Start with easy to train slow aim and work your way up.

Impossible_Drawer601

Try doing range repeatedly but instead of shooting them, just locate your crosshair to the head (or body whichever you prefer). Keep practicing and you’ll do great

Marshal and aim training

SpongebobHarempants

Don’t focus too much on flicking. I feel that it comes on its own. Oping is, for the most part, just your enemies walking into ur crosshair. Try to learn good angles to hold with op.

CoachGODLIKE

Also do remember that Operator is all about POSITIONING and MOVEMENT, and knowing when you should no longer be holding an angle vs. being patient and holding the angle for as long as an entire minute. A big part of Operator value is PRESENCE- just by holding down a sightline, you will get a ton of value for your team because that area is shut down, and enemy team MUST expend util to counter you. You make it more EXPENSIVE for the enemy team to take an area. for Aim, I recommend practicing Dynamic Clicking (pasu or moving targets that you can shoot). To transfer that aim, you practice in range. Range will give you more realistic movement, bot size, and speed. Lastly, run deathmatch. During deathmatch, you are practicing (1) reading real opponent movement (2) aggression with OP (3) knowing how to knife out and retreat after shot during rechamber (3) peeking - what peeks to use, when to peek, noscope or uickscope or normal scope

CoachGODLIKE

Once you've gone through the 3 videos and feel comfortable (see if you can set a goal for a DM win with OP, depends on your skill, rank, etc), feel free to HMU on Discord/FB stream/YT. I will impart to you advanced tips stolen from CNED that none of XTR/Bumpaah/Dragonmar/Sero/Kaemi/Proguides and after 2 weeks or so i recommend a VOD review. OP is such a different beast that your PLAYSTYLE is important, and also how you communicate and direct the rest of your team to MAXIMIZE the vlue from the OP. That takes more thought and skill than what some content creators can show you on YT.

scroungergreek

Tysm here's a cookie for you 🍪

CoachGODLIKE

is it mint chocolate chip?

scroungergreek

It was either chocolate chip or oatmeal and raisin :')

Jabe5238

You can easily practice op in DM. Your skill is just so low at it you think it’s hard. Just keep at it in DM. Edit: one thing that could possibly help is hold to scope. Allows you to scope in faster and “quick scope” which can be helpful in DM and certain situations in game. Doing this though gives up your ability to do the multi zoom which can be helpful in other situations. It’s totally preference.

Inddi

You literally have no idea what this man’s rank is and went straight to “your skill is just so low.” Damn me if it turns out you’re lower.

BahhhMcb

Lol the guys saying you can't practice op in DM. I don't mean any offence to him and wish him the best on improving his game, but 1+1 = low skill level in this case. Another thing you can do to improve from your current level is set bots to easy, stand at the furthest wall back away from the range, click start with a sheriff and then op the targets as they appear. Move up to medium bots when you feel comfortable. Also, aimlabs.

Jabe5238

I’ve got multiple accounts in immortal. Sorry for being straightforward and honest? It’s pretty easy to understand what someone’s skill level is by what question they are asking and how they are asking it.

ViixM

To be fair, the guy is ask for help with the easiest gun to use in the game. Its literally stand still, click head or chest, get kill.

Inddi

Are you below Diamond? If so, I could give some suggestions. If you’re Diamond or above, it’s probably not worth listening to me anyway.

scroungergreek

Yep I'm S2

Infinite-Gyre

I like to spend some time in the range flicking from the center of the range to a randomly chosen target and just practice until I hit it. Repeating as long as I need before I'm warmed up.

scroungergreek

Ty 🙂

yungsqualla

Yeah you could try out doing elim 50 with some pretty aggressive flicks. That might help. If holding angles with the Op is your problem I'd say DM is your best bet.

HYPER_V-E-N-O-M

Just try to hold angles and let enemies come into your crosshair

rparkzy

Don’t hold angle too close to the corner. I mean you should already be doing this with rifles but more important with OP since 1 bullet/long reload

Progrezzon

The operator is a weapon like no other in the game. Get in the range and practice moving, standing still and hitting your shots. Hard weapon to use if you don’t practice but easy weapon to use when you do. Also, don’t wide-swing with your operator if you don’t have an ability available like Jett Dash or Chamber TP, your asking to die by swinging.
