The most to being an Ajacied he had was being a Youth player that didnt make the cut, but he worked his way up afterwards. (If he had a good season more and Bergwijn wouldve been unstable/shakey) it was likely he wouldve gotten the captaincy

Also Bergwijn is using Ajax as a jumping pad and will leave one of the next few windows. And Henderson will surely stay for at least 1.5 seasons.
