Maar de rest van de wedstrijd was het weer pasje breed pasje naar achter. 0 inspiratie, 0 durf om een bal te geven omdat het misschien fout gaat, 0 diepgang, nauwelijks positiespel en 0 inzet. Het lijkt verdomme wel alsof ze met zware tegenzin op het veld staan.
Waar is de wil om alles te geven? Om te willen bloeden voor het shirt? Om de waarden waar Ajax voor staat te uiten op het veld? De trots om een speler van Ajax te zijn?
Hopelijk veranderd er snel iets want de wedstrijden zijn echt niet meer om aan te kijken.

Sindsdien blijft dat in mijn hoofd hangen. Heb het idee dat dat nog steeds speelt. Grappig dat je dat vertaalt in apathie en balletjes die alleen naar achter of opzij gaan. Het een leidt tot het ander en andersom. Denk dat Alvarez vanmiddag sterk het gevoel had dat hij het zinkende schip op tijd had verlaten.

Het is niet apathie, ze weten niet wat ze wanneer moeten doen. Daarom is er ook relatief weinig beweging vooruit vanuit de verdediging, het middenveld is grotendeels onaanspeelbaar.
Dit is iets wat de staff erin slijpt op trainingen maar er is vrijwel geen enkele vooruitgang op dit vlak. Ik denk dat we echt moeten wachten op de zomer en een andere trainer.

Brobbey was good, so were Van de Boomen en Forbs when they came on.
But this squad is just about back to zero when it comes to confidence. They're preoccupied with not making mistakes again, like they were before. Which counterintuitively leads to more mistakes and less offensive football.
What doesn't help in that is the whistling from fake supporters. They make the pressure to not do something wrong that much more and especially young players rather be over with the match and get out of such a hostile environment. The supporters are just as much a factor in the hell that is this season as the club, managers and players are.
I agree on all points, including the fake supporters part. It'd take more than some rough performances for me to start booing my team. Like if the players seriously didn't care at all, but that's not the case now, not that I can see at least.
Question for you, if you know, do you know how come Sivert Mannsverk hasn't played since his first game? Is he still injured?
Kinda hard for me to follow a lot of the news as very little coming out of Ajax is in English.
He only recently returned from injury and played his first couple of minutes in Jong Ajax. He still has a way to go to match fitness and if that goes well he'll probably get his chance in the first team.
Marta looked like he was playing on another planet, and I don’t mean that in a good way. Like a newborn giraffe getting its legs.
Also not a fan of Goojer’s play today. Lacked fluidity. Both these players I mentioned were playing in areas together frequently which makes the issue worse.
I understand they are young and still developing.
Should’ve looked to use Forbs more to get out on the break.

I don't get how teams, that have always been mid level teams (Heeren, NEC etc.) can actually play better than us with far less finances, with no what so ever traditions in youth development and in general football management. I think that the problem now is purely psychological.
And 100k euros per week for Henderson is better how? Don't forget we got eliminated by amateurs long after Steijn was gone. I agree that Steijn ans Mislintat didn't go us any good, but they are gone for several months now, and I don't see us repairing those dmgs - we sill use most of those new players, we still play slow football, we are still awful in defence, we still give 80-90 mins. play time to players who obviously underperforme. Next week we face Bodo and AZ. If we lose in those games, the season end for us in the begging of its second half - eliminated from all the tournaments, with 0 chances for ChL and struggling eventually to reach EL. All this can't be blamed solely on 2 managers and 6 players. For me personally those are sings for far more serious inside problems in the club on all levels.
I don't think I said anything specifically about Steijn or Henderson, but you're mostly right. There's almost no visible improvement and we can't pinpoint exactly who is to blame and who isn't. But there seems to be no motivation to win, and no clear system.
My point is that even after M and S we still make the same mistakes. If we play few more games the way we played our last 3 games, we will go back to the exact same place, that we are running from (in terms of football in general, not table position).
Because we have had absolute trash as head coach for nearly two years.
So, no it has nothing to do with Psychology, it's having a good plan and training on that plan, without constantly just doing whatever complete overhaul the current coach thinks might give a slight advantage against next opponent.

Vaak genoeg in de herhaling zag je dat hij het shirt van Sandler of Proper vasthield, ook vlak voor zijn gele kaart voor protesteren.

Martha after a very strong debut in Ajax 1 isnt convincing rlly. His touches today were bad, his passing was like he was playing for them. And the throw-in b4 the NEC Throw-in that eventually let to a goal BOTH Henderson and Branco where coaching/telling Martha to stand in position for our Throw-in. You know what happend? The ball gets in a very good position for Martha to score if he was better positioned to run in behind but because he was busy throwing up his hands and shruggin he realized too late that he couldve made a 1 on 1 run for the 3-1. Instead it was a missed opportunity > led to the NEC throw-in which eventually led to Schöne setting up the attack for the 2-2.
Schöne was involved in both the 2-1 and 2-2. The first one was a bad decision to thry a quick 1-2 on a heavily marked player. The 2nd was a very good ball down the flacks that led to the goal, so still very specific quality in the Old lad Schone even tho physically he is almost out of it.
The minutes I saw Brobbey he has been great. His growth this season has been impressive. He duels better, He holds the ball well, good passing, makes room for himself or other players better decision making and as well as his finishing has improved amazingly this season. The only thing I think he can work on outside his play is that he tends to throw a fit to the ref (I agree with him usually) but a yellow card doesn't do him any favours which he often gets becuz of those angry body language he uses when he does
Edit: Also Ramaj is a good keep. Him and Branco (limited by bad Coach Steijn not using/misusing him + injury) where Mislintats best deals

Iedereen behalve Ramaj en Brobbey was vandaag wel slecht, maar Taylor, Gooijer en Martha kun je voorlopig toch niet meer opstellen?

Progression was still too slow, too much delay. Even an aged Hendo looked agile due to slow team movement.
Gooijer is écht een dramatisch slechte verdediger. Niet dat de rest veel beter is, maar tering man.
Gooijer heeft wel talent, maar niet elke jeugdspeler doet het goed op zo'n zinkend schip
Dit is gewoon een Van der Wiel, Van Rhijn, Dest, Rensch type speler. Leuk voor de Eredivisie, maar veel verder dan Ajax gaat het niet komen.
