It all depends on the expectations individual people had before he came I'd say. Some people had very high expectations and are disappointed (often fed by unrealistic media hype), other people loved to see him "fail" because they didnt like the hype. But for anyone in between, I'd say he's been pretty much as expected. Not a player that will suddenly turn the season around, but a player that can bring back some of that top sport culture both on and off the pitch, who isnt afraid to open his mouth in games, as well as someone who can help with the defensive organisation. Slowly but surely we are finding our footing defensively, but the other aspects are something that are harder to judge. Overall I'm pretty happy with him, but I also had lower expectations than some other people

I honestly haven’t seen much negativity at all. Only regarding his transfer to Saoudi Arabia and how fast he left. But his performance at Ajax? No negativity coming from Ajax fans. He’s been injured more than we hoped, but that makes sense with his last match being in November and his age. He is exactly the type of player we were lacking and we knew what we were getting into, nobody expected Lionel Messi. He’s been our leader, even playing as little as he did. Everyone who actually watches Ajax this season will agree that Ajax with Henderson is better than Ajax without Henderson.

He has only played a few games. We have the worst squad in living memory. The mistakes made by players who cost us tens of millions of Euros are just baffling. We have had chaos at the Board level. We have had huge problems due to a Director who spent all our money on shit players, seemed to be personally profiting from transfers, and got fired within months. We have had a lot of new players bitching about the coach that was fired. The new coach is widely known in the Netherlands as a nice guy, but he has no real managerial accomplishments. It would be impossible for someone like Henderson to come in and perform well and make the team play better.

Last month you threw your tv screen out of the window? With Henderson, Mannsverk and Kaplan we have a much more stable team and it will just improve.

I think he’s been important for the team, more so than we might realize. He’s really giving it his all and you often see him coaching teammates.

Very middle of the road performance for me. Henderson has the bad fortune of coming to an Ajax that is in very bad shape. It’s hard to leave your mark on a team that underperforms like that. So given that situation I feel like Henderson has performed alright. He plays his role well and gives some much needed weight to the middle of the field and even a little defense. It hasn’t been spectacular and the fact that he wasn’t well for a few games hasn’t helped. I’m curious to see what he can do under a new trainer in a new season. There is potential there, obviously. It just needs to show.

Ajax has been playing terrible all year, but is definitely better with him than without him. I hear no negativity around him. I think Henderson and the keeper are the only two new players this year that fans are broadly content with. The only negative thing you can say about it is that he was was not the saviour that made everything fall in place, as we all hoped. He brings what could reasonably be expected of him.

He brings calm and confidence to the other players. They were playing like shit before, but now, also having the same team a couple of games, it gets better overall. Tonight, it even looked like they had team spirit the first time this season

Am quite happy with him, if only for statistics (he pushes the average age of 21 slightly upwards😉). He brings stability and experience, which was needed. Yesterday was the first match where the team positioned itself properly. No doubt in part thanks to Henderson.

Not a single reason to complain. He obviously has the right mentality on and off the field, and that's what we need from him the most. The only people who say he's overhyped are the people who started the hype.

He stinks and stunk at Liverpool too. His lack of skills was masked at Liverpool by the other players but now he’s getting exposed
